There is a great extension available for Joomla, called Eorisis: Facebook Pixel. It is a free extension that you can download and install on your Joomla website, and it will take care of everything else.
The extension offers lots of different features, but the most user-friendly feature that this plugin provides is that you will not need to copy and paste your Facebook code. The plugin works a bit differently.
Installation of Eorisis: Facebook Pixel
To use the tracking plugin, you need to download and install it and then activate it. You can do this by downloading the plugin itself from the link shown in the picture. When you click on the download button, you will be taken to a new page where your download should begin.
Have in mind that you must be registered to do that, so if you are not – take your time to register an account. You should check your email for confirmation link and then the download will begin. Once you’ve downloaded the extension to your computer, you should drag and drop it into the upload box in your control panel, or just click “Upload” and select the file.
After the extension is installed successfully you will see a success message and you can go ahead and configure it.
Click on the Extensions tab in your admin dashboard and select “Plugins” from the drop-down menu.
Search for the Eorisis plugin that you have just installed.
Once you find it check if it has a red circle with a white X inside, and click the icon to activate it. If the icon has a green checkmark, this means that the extension is already active and working on your site.
Now, click on the “System: Eorisis: Facebook pixel” link, which will grant you access to the configuration for the plugin.

You will be able to see all of the information about the plugin, including access settings.
What is important here is the Tracking tab.
Once you open it you will see a field called “Pixel ID“. This is where you should enter your Facebook pixel id. Have in mind that the ID that you should insert here is the ID that is listed in the ads manager -> Events manager, right in your personal Facebook account. If you don’t do that, the plugin will not work.
Click the “Save” button to save all of your changes, and the integration of the Facebook Pixel in your Joomla website is now ready.
