How to Instal WordPress on Afrihost
Installing WordPress on Afrihost is a very easy task and it can be done with the Softaculous app. First, you have to install the app itself. To do that, go to your cPanel.
Log into ClientZone, click on the hosting tab, then select your domain, click on the Website manager and Log Into website Manager.
Scroll down to your Softaculous App installer and click on it.
In the Softaculous app, you will see the WordPress icon, click on it, and click Install.
Then you will be required to set up the details for your WordPress installation:
Protocol – SSL that is already required by Google’s algorithms. If you don’t have an SSL we strongly recommend you buy one.
Domain – select the domain, where you want to install your WordPress. If you did not add your domain, you can do it from your cPanel.
Directory – Leave the field blank if you want to install your WordPress straight into your domain folder and thus it will be accessible from your domain URL.
Admin username and admin password – the details for your dashboard admin login.
Admin email – enter a valid email that is going to be used for your admin username.
After you’ve filled all of these fields, click on the install button and wait for the installation process to be completed. The Softaculous app will notify you when WordPress is installed, and you can now click on the “Publish” button, and your website will be live.
You can log into its admin panel from yourdomain.com/wp-admin, using your admin username and password that you’ve set just a while ago, and start building your website.
