Having established data infrastructure regions in Mumbai and Hyderabad between 2016 and 2022, AWS is now committing a total of $16.4 billion in India.
The IT giant’s investment trajectory in Japan follows a similar pattern, with AWS making significant strides in the country since its debut in Tokyo in 2011 and subsequent expansion to Osaka in 2021. The company’s cloud operations now span 12 locations in the Asia Pacific and China, including key cities like Hong Kong, Melbourne, Mumbai, Seoul, Sydney, and more.
