WPX is a WordPress-only host, WPX raised its WordPress plans by about 20% 十一月に 2025, and several of its terms favour WPX over you.
This review combines WPX’s own pricing page, terms and knowledge base with Trustpilot and Reddit feedback. We also measured network latency to all three of its data centers from 9 国. Many WPX reviews still quote the old USD 24.99 Business price. We compare old and new prices directly, and we track how the flow of new customer reviews has slowed since 2022.
WPX suits bloggers and small businesses who value fast, human support and run content sites in North America, It suits heavy WooCommerce stores and visitors in Asia less well. The main complaints since late 2025 are slower escalations, refund refusals and billing disputes.
WPX raised its WordPress hosting prices between 9 と 12 11月 2025, taking Business from USD 24.99 米ドルへ 29.99 月. Any review that quotes USD 24.99 describes a price that no longer exists. The same change added a one-site Starter plan and prepaid terms of up to five years.

WPX has been in business since 2013 and says it hosts about 60,000 ウェブサイト. It is based in Sofia, ブルガリア, and its About page says founders Terry Kyle and Georgi Petrov still own 100% それの. “管理” means WPX handles the server, security updates and backups, and its staff will help inside WordPress too.
- WordPress hosting in four tiers: スターター (1 サイト), 仕事 (5), プロ (15) そしてエリート (35).
- 代理店ホスティング: one plan for up to 200 サイト.
- WooCommerce hosting in three tiers: Powerstore (1 お店), Superstore (3) and Hyperstore (5).
- ドメイン登録, with free WHOIS privacy on domains registered at WPX.
There is no VPS, no dedicated server and no hosting for anything other than WordPress. WPX’s own knowledge base calls its platform a shared hosting environment. That means your sites share a server with other customers, within fixed limits on memory and CPU.
What Every Plan Includes
The feature list is where WPX earns its reputation. Customers mention three items again and again in reviews.
WPX’s team moves your sites and promises to be back in touch within 24 時間. The only paid case is a migration that also changes the domain name, USDかかります 98 (付加価値税抜き).
- Free malware removal: staff clean an infected site by hand. Every plan also gets a WAF. That stands for web application firewall, and it screens incoming requests for known attack patterns.
- XDN: WPX’s own CDN (コンテンツ配信ネットワーク, a set of servers that keep copies of your pages near visitors). WPX says it has 43 endpoints worldwide, and it’s free on every plan.
Every plan also includes daily backups kept for 28 days and staging (a test copy of the site where you try changes first). Sites run on LiteSpeed, a web server built to run PHP sites like WordPress quickly.
Here’s the gap most reviews miss. The comparison table on WPX’s pricing page ticks Redis only on Elite, Agency and the WooCommerce plans. Redis is an object cache: it keeps database query results in memory, which matters most for stores, forums and membership sites. Business and Professional don’t get it. So the cheapest WordPress plan with Redis costs USD 119.99 月.
WPX runs three origin data centers: シカゴ, ロンドンとシドニー. You pick one per site at checkout. That is few compared with cloud-based rivals, and there is nothing in Asia, South America or Africa.
The three choices at checkout are the only origin locations WPX sells. WPX order form,
The XDN softens this, since cached pages can be served from an edge location near the visitor. But logged-in users, carts and admin screens still travel to the origin. If your buyers are in Singapore or Mumbai, that origin is far away. If most of your traffic is Australian, 私たちの managed WordPress hosting guide for Australia compares hosts with Sydney servers.
We measured network latency to WPX’s Chicago, London and Sydney data centers from 9 上の国々 28 9月 2026. Latency is the time a signal takes to reach a server and come back, in milliseconds (MS). Each test sent 10 pings from a home or mobile internet connection. We pinged the servers themselves, not the CDN, so this shows how far each region is from where your site actually runs. It isn’t a page-speed test.
From each city, the nearest WPX data center answered in these times. 21.6 ms and Brisbane 23.3 MS. Sofia took 37.3 ms and Calgary 56.4 MS. Sao Paulo needed 160.3 ms and KwaDukuza in South Africa 172.5 MS. 60% of packets lost. Palwal in India took 234.8 MS, and its closest WPX server was Chicago.
Round-trip time from each city to whichever of WPX’s three data centers answered fastest. ソース: our Globalping measurement, 10 pings per probe, 28 9月 2026.
Visitors in North America, Europe and Australia sit close to a WPX server. Visitors in Asia, Africa and South America don’t, whichever location you choose. WPX’s order form suggests Sydney for Asia. From our Singapore probe, Sydney was barely faster than Chicago: 200.6 ms against 207.8 MS.
WPX’s pricing page says “99.95% 稼働時間保証”. Nothing in its Terms of Service mentions an uptime figure or a credit for downtime. We found no public status page either. Reddit users reported short outages on 13 と 22 1月 2025. One said the second was fixed in under an hour.
WPX’s main Trustpilot profile is still filed under its old domain, wpxhosting.com. 96.3% give five stars and 2.5% give one star. The simple average of all ratings is 4.88. Trustpilot weights recent reviews more, so the lower 4.7 suggests newer reviews are less glowing than older ones.
Note the second line: それだけ 74 の 3,628 reviews arrived in the last year.
That second line matters. We read the profile’s total review count from yearly archive captures. 2022 to January 2023, WPX gained 808 new reviews. The next year it gained 613, Between January and 28 9月 2026 it added 44.
Net change in the profile’s total, measured between January captures. ソース: Trustpilot via the Wayback Machine (1月 2022 to January 2026) and live on 28 9月 2026.
Why does this matter to a buyer? 3,628 reviews were posted before 2024. Recent reviews are few, and a larger share of them are negative. We read the newest One-star ratings made up 2 の 59 遅くに 2024, 4 の 91 の 2025 と 7 の 50 の 2026.
Reviewers describe chat replies within seconds and agents who fix problems that aren’t strictly WPX’s job.
2026 five-star reviewers say they’ve been with WPX for six or nine years. One says their sites have stayed online the whole time.
Migrations come third. Reviewers describe WPX moving several sites overnight. All they had to do was change nameservers, the setting that points a domain at a host.
Slower escalations are the clearest 2026 テーマ. Four one-star reviews posted in March to May 2026 describe the same shift. A ticket for a site optimization stayed open for 11 日々. Malware on another site lasted three weeks. A customer of four years wrote that issues now take days.
2026, a customer of ten years was refused a USD 60 refund for cancelling one day late. 2026, another asked for a pro-rated refund on a multi-year prepay after moving away, and titled the review “Don’t commit long term”. WPX’s written policy refunds only within the first 30 日々.
Billing disputes come third. Two October 2025 reviews describe charges after a cancellation or an expired card. 11月 2025 reviewer was asked for USD 99 to move a site, which matches the paid domain-change migration.
WPX replied to every review of three stars or fewer posted since January 2025.
What Turns Up on Reddit
Genuine Reddit discussion of WPX is thin. The most useful thread, 1月から 2025, covers a short outage. A second user reported that WPX acknowledged the outage and fixed it in under an hour. The original poster had seen one issue in three years.
A billing dispute posted in October 2025 is more telling. A commenter pointed out that the customer had paid about USD 14 for a year of hosting and a domain. The listed yearly price was USD 249.99. That’s the price trap to watch at WPX: プロモーション, not the list price.
One warning about r/wpxhosting. It was created on 20 1月 2026 と持っています 2 subscribers. 全て 17 of its posts come from a single account named after WPX’s co-founder, reposting five-star Trustpilot reviews. We don’t count it as community feedback.
WPX offers two support channels, The chat runs 24/7, and WPX claims a 30-second average first response. Its knowledge base explains why fixes can then stall.
First response is round the clock, and escalations wait for office hours. WPX knowledge base,
Escalated requests go to teams that only work weekdays, から 9.00 に 18.00 (GMT+3). A problem the chat agent can’t solve on Friday evening may wait until Monday. That fits the 2026 苦情: the first reply is fast, but a stubborn issue isn’t always solved fast.
When to Use WPX Hosting
WPX works best for people who want someone else to handle WordPress problems and don’t need much raw power.
Content sites for North America, Our probes in the US, カナダ, イギリス, Bulgaria and Australia all got within 60 MS. The free CDN then serves cached pages from nearer still.
Owners who’d rather chat than debug: Free malware cleanup, free migrations and on-demand speed tuning cover jobs many hosts leave to you.
Small portfolios of up to five sites: Business covers five sites plus email for USD 29.99 a month on monthly billing. Five Starter plans would cost USD 89.95 月.
You’ll Get the Most From It If
- You’re happy to commit for years, because the five-year rate is a third below monthly.
- You’d use the included email, since Business and up give you unlimited mailboxes.
- You want staging and 28 days of daily backups without paying for add-ons.
When NOT to Use WPX Hosting
The limits show up with dynamic sites, distant visitors and anyone who may want their money back.
You run a busy store or membership site on a small budget: Redis starts at USD 119.99 a month on WordPress plans. Business shares 15 PHP workers across five sites. The WooCommerce plans include Redis, starting at USD 34.99 for one store.
Your visitors are in Asia, Africa or South America: Our probes in India, South Africa and Brazil never beat 160 MS. A host with a local region will serve dynamic pages faster.
You need more than WordPress: WPX runs only WordPress. VPSはありません, no custom stack and no root access.
Warning Signs for Your Setup
WPX answers by chat and ticket, never by phone.
- You want a written uptime promise: the 99.95% figure isn’t in the Terms of Service, and no credit is defined.
- You may change your mind after a month: renewals and multi-year prepays aren’t refundable after day 30.
- You plan to download backups: WPX’s backups can’t be downloaded from the panel, so keep your own copies.
Cloudways covers the missing regions and Redis at a lower price. Kinsta covers them with a much larger network. Both appear in the Alternatives section below.
WPX Hosting Transparency Score
WPX is open about prices and features. It’s less clear about who you’re contracting with and what it guarantees.
The contact page gives a Sofia street address and a Bulgarian company number. But the Terms of Service name “K Media Tech, LLC” under Texas law, while page footers say “K Media Tech OOD”, a Bulgarian company form.
Every term’s price and prepaid total sits on one page. The five-year default and the first-term-only Price Lock take some digging to notice.
Plan specs list RAM, CPU cores and PHP workers, and a full table shows which plan gets Redis. The uptime figure has no terms behind it.
WPX’s refund rules are short and clear, 米ドルを含む 5 床, the non-refundable renewals and the 30-day limit. Its terms are strict, but they’re written plainly.
You can find everything that affects your bill. The gaps are the legal entity and a marketing uptime figure that the contract doesn’t back.
Alternatives to WPX Hosting
The three picks below target the gaps above: レディス, data center choice and price.
For Redis and More Regions on a Budget: クラウドウェイズ
Cloudways starts at USD 14 a month for its 1 GB Micro server, billed monthly with no long prepay. Its pricing page lists free Redis in every plan and 50+ データセンター. You do manage more yourself. 私たちを読む Cloudwaysレビュー for the support side.
For a Premium Network: キンスタ
Kinsta’s single-site plan costs USD 35 月, または米ドル 350 1年. それは提供します 30 データセンター, far more than WPX’s three. Redis is a paid add-on at USD 100 サイトごと、月額, so WooCommerce buyers should compare carefully. Kinsta review covers its pricing in detail.
For the Lowest Entry Price: Hostinger
Hostinger’s WordPress Premium plan is USD 2.99 per month when you prepay 48 月, その後USDで更新 10.99. That’s a 3.7x renewal jump, but even the renewal sits below WPX Starter. 私たちのを参照してください Hostingerレビュー before you commit to four years.

WPX Hosting Plans and Pricing
WPX doesn’t use the usual cheap-first-year model. Its plan cards show one list price per billing term, and a longer term buys a lower monthly rate. But the page makes a long prepay look like the normal price, and November’s rise shows that prices do move.
前払いの警告: the plan cards open on the five-year term. Business shows as 19.99ドル/月, but that means paying USD 1,199.60 前もって. On monthly billing the same plan costs 29.99ドル/月, 50% もっと. Pick the term in the drop-down before you compare WPX with anyone else.
The headline prices are five-year rates. The struck-through figures are the monthly prices.
All prices below are in USD and exclude VAT, as shown on WPX’s WordPress hosting page on 28 9月 2026.
1-year rate | 5-year rate | 5-year total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

USD 17.99/mo monthly, down to USD 11.99/mo on five years. It hosts one site with 10 GBのストレージ, 3 GBのRAMと 0.5 of a CPU core. It gets 9 PHP ワーカー, the processes that build uncached pages. There is no business email on Starter.
USD 29.99/mo monthly. It runs up to 5 sites on 20 GB, 5 GBのRAM, one CPU core and 15 PHP ワーカー, shared across all five sites. Email with unlimited mailboxes is included from this tier up.
119.99 a month on monthly billing. Elite is the first WordPress plan with Redis.
How much did November 2025 change? Business went from USD 24.99 米ドルへ 29.99 月, Professional from USD 49.99 米ドルへ 59.99, and Elite from USD 99.00 米ドルへ 119.99. The yearly prices rose by the same 20%, and Business now costs USD 299.90 米ドルではなく一年 249.99. Storage grew a little on each tier, but RAM, CPU cores and PHP workers stayed the same.
Monthly-billing prices before and after the November 2025 change. Wayback Machine captures of wpx.net on 9 と 12 11月 2025, and WPX’s pricing page on 28 9月 2026.
Powerstore: 月額 34.99 米ドル, or USD 23.33/mo on five years. It runs one store with 8 GBのRAM, 2 CPUコア, 10 PHP workers and Redis. These three prices didn’t change in November 2025.
What Renewal Really Means Here
WPX prints no separate renewal price, and a plan renews at its list price. The “WPX Price Lock” sounds like more than that. Read the definition, けれど: the price stays the same “for the duration of your initial subscription period”.
The lock covers the first term only. WPX knowledge base article on the Price Lock,
So a monthly customer is locked for one month. その後, the Terms of Service let WPX “change its Fees at any time”. A five-year prepay is the only way to fix today’s rate for long. It also means paying up to USD 4,799.60 前もって.
- SAVE79 and refunds: the site-wide code takes 79% off the first month of a monthly WordPress plan. By our calculation, that makes Starter’s first month about USD 3.78. The refund policy only covers purchases over USD 5.
A standard migration is free.
- バックアップ: daily and free, but the ToS says they “cannot be downloaded” from the control panel. Zip, tar and other archive files are left out of them.
- チャージバック: filing one gets your service terminated, and returning means paying a restoration fee plus the dispute fees.
- SSL and CDN:
5 floor sits at the end of the refund terms.
WPX sits between budget shared hosting and premium hosts like Kinsta, whose single-site plan costs USD 35 月. With no cheap-first-year trick, the monthly price is honest. The weak spots are the five-year default, a lock that covers only the first term, and Redis held back until Elite. Business on monthly billing, 29.99, is the fair comparison point.

Pick WPX Business if you run a few content sites for visitors near Chicago, London or Sydney and value support above everything else. Go to Cloudways for Redis or an Asian region on a small budget. Choose Kinsta for a large premium network, and Hostinger for the lowest bill.
Two numbers should shape your decision. Prices rose about 20% 十一月に 2025, and new Trustpilot reviews fell from 808 in a year to 91. The support is still praised, but the praise is getting older. Compare WPX with other US-based options in our fast managed WordPress hosting guide for the USA.
Does the WPX Starter plan come with business email?
Starter includes one website, but it comes without business email or webmail. Email with unlimited mailboxes starts on Business, 29.99 a month on monthly billing. If you need a website and email together, Business is the real entry plan.
What does WPX cost on monthly billing compared with five years upfront?
29.99 a month on monthly billing. On the five-year term it drops to USD 19.99 月, paid as USD 1,199.60 前もって. The Price Lock only covers the term you buy, and after that WPX can change the price.
What are WPX customers unhappy about in 2026?
The main themes are slow escalations, refund refusals after day 30 and billing disputes after cancelling. Chat replies are still fast, according to most 2026 レビュー. Problems passed to other teams wait for their weekday office hours.
WPX or Kinsta for a single WordPress site?
WPX Starter costs USD 17.99 a month on monthly billing, and Kinsta’s single-site plan costs USD 35. 30 data centers to WPX’s three, which matters for visitors far from the US, UK and Australia. WPX includes free malware removal and migrations, so it’s the cheaper choice for a simple site.
Does WPX support Redis object caching?
はい, but only on some plans. Agency and all three WooCommerce plans include Redis in the price. Business and Professional don’t get it, according to WPX’s own comparison table.
Can I get a refund if I used the SAVE79 code?
Only within 30 日々, and only if you paid more than USD 5 付加価値税を除く. By our calculation, SAVE79 cuts Starter’s first month to about USD 3.78, below that floor. A discounted first month of Business, 6.30, stays above it.
