AN-Hosting – 601 Kundenbewertungen: Analyse (Sep. 2026) - DEUTSCH

Kurze Antwort: you can’t buy AN Hosting, and you can’t even load its website. Ab 10 September 2026, anhosting.com fails to resolve in DNS (the system that turns a domain name into a server address). AN Hosting stopped serving its own website on 14 Juni 2016, when anhosting.com became a permanent redirect to midphase.com. Every AN Hosting account has run on Midphase since, and Midphase changed hands again in February 2026.

Diese Rezension stützt sich auf 990 customer reviews of the platform those accounts now run on. We added live domain checks, public certificate records, and archived copies of AN Hosting’s old site. Most reviews of this brand still republish a price list from 2016 and a rating nobody rechecked. We tested the domain ourselves instead. We also read the community threads where former AN Hosting customers describe what happened to their sites.

Gesamtbewertung: the successor platform scores 4.3/5 über 990 Bewertungen. Nur 24 of those reviews arrived in the past 12 Monate, und 20 des 24 came from invitations sent after a support ticket. Praise is about helpdesk manners. Complaints are about forced migrations, lost mailboxes, and the lack of a phone line for technical problems. Nobody shopping for new hosting should be looking at this brand.

Zuletzt aktualisiert: September 2026. Domainstatus, certificate records, pricing and review data verified.

Funktionen und Dienste

AN Hosting registered anhosting.com on 15 Dezember 2001 and sold one thing: cheap Linux shared hosting for small US websites. Its homepage called itShared Hosting Services Made Simple Since 2001”. UK2 Group bought it in 2007 with the rest of midPhase Services. From that point AN Hosting was a storefront, not a company.

What AN Hosting Actually Sold

Archived on 19 Kann 2016, the last working version of the site offered a single package called Unlimited Web Hosting. It advertised unlimited disk space and bandwidth, kostenlose Domainregistrierung, und mehr als 100 Ein-Klick-Anwendungsinstallationen. It promised a 99.9% Verfügbarkeitsgarantie, a free site move, und 24/7 US-based phone support. WordPress, Drupal and Joomla each got their own pitch.

That was the whole catalogue. Ein Plan, one control panel, one audience.

Angebotene Hosting-Typen

  • Shared Hosting – the only product it ever really sold, on Linux with cPanel (the long-standing control panel for managing files, E-Mail und Datenbanken)
  • Domain Registrierung – bundled free with the hosting package for the first year
  • Managed Cloud and Dedicated Hostinglisted on the 2016 Homepage, but these pushed buyers to sister brands

Where AN Hosting Went

Auf 14 Juni 2016 anhosting.com stopped serving its own pages. From that date it returned a 301 umleiten, eine dauerhafte “this has moved” Anweisung, pointing straight at midphase.com. It stayed that way for almost ten years. The Internet Archive’s last capture, auf 18 Kann 2026, is still that redirect.

Then even the redirect stopped. We checked the domain on 10 September 2026 and it fails completely. Public resolvers return SERVFAIL, meaning no answer could be produced. The .com registry still points the domain at ns1.midphase.com and ns2.midphase.com. Those two nameservers (the machines holding a domain’s address records) answer REFUSED for anhosting.com while answering normally for midphase.com. The zone has been deleted from them.

There’s no A record, which is the entry that points a name at a web server. There’s no MX record either, and that’s the entry that routes email to a domain. Ohne eins, every message sent to an anhosting.com address bounces. The subdomains are gone too: www, cpanel, Webmail, Abrechnung, my, portal and support all return nothing.

Dating the Shutdown

Public certificate transparency logs date it more tightly than the archive does. These logs record every TLS certificate a site is issued, which is what makes an HTTPS padlock work. The domain has 630 logged certificates going back to 2005. The last one covering anhosting.com and www.anhosting.com was issued on 16 April 2026 and expired on 15 Juli 2026. The final certificate for any anhosting.com hostname expired on 21 Juli 2026.

Nothing has been issued since. These were 90-day certificates set to renew automatically, so a renewal should have fired in mid-June. It didn’t. AN Hosting’s last certificate expired on 21 Juli 2026 and was never replaced, also irgendjemand 2026 review linking to anhosting.com points at a dead address.

Standorte und Leistung von Rechenzentren

There are no AN Hosting servers left to describe. Surviving accounts sit on Midphase infrastructure, which offers London, Dallas or Singapore. A US customer routed to London will feel that on every page load. If London is where you actually want to be, unser Webhosting-Leitfaden für Großbritannien lists hosts based there.

We found no independent benchmark data for AN Hosting, which isn’t surprising for a brand that has been a redirect since 2016. The only performance figure worth quoting is the 99.99% uptime guarantee now printed on the plan cards.

Kundenerfahrung

There is no AN Hosting review profile anywhere. The reviewable service is Midphase, which carries a TrustScore of 4.3 von 990 reviews as of 10 September 2026. The rating distribution is where it gets interesting: 779 Fünf Sterne, 71 Vier Sterne, 20 Drei Sterne, 14 Zwei-Sterne-und 100 Ein Stern. Das ist ungefähr 79% glowing and 10% wütend, mit fast nichts dazwischen.

Two things soften that 4.3. Nur 24 reviews arrived in the 12 months to September 2026, and the profile has review collection switched off. A score built on 990 lifetime reviews tells you about a decade, not about this year.

Was Kunden loben

Praise is consistent and narrow. Reviewers name individual support agents and thank them for solving a ticket quickly. Titles from 2026 enthalten “Outstanding Tech Support”, “Problem solved quickly” und “Courteous and capable tech-support staff”.

Long tenure comes up constantly too. Several reviewers describe 15 und 16 years on the platform. One in October 2025 credited 16 years of reliable uptime and domain management. That’s real evidence the hosting kept working for a long time.

Hier ist der Haken. Von der 24 Rezensionen aus dem vergangenen Jahr, 20 are invitation-sourced, meaning the customer was emailed a review link after their ticket closed. Those reviews measure how the helpdesk handled a problem. They don’t measure whether the hosting caused it.

Häufige Beschwerden

Negatives run in the opposite direction, and they’re almost all organic rather than invited. Both one-star reviews from the past year were written unprompted.

Migrations dominate. A 16-year customer wrote in March 2026 that system changes locked them out of their account and their email. Ihre Worte: “this has killed my business”. A 15-year customer with a reseller account and a business site wrote in July 2025 that something clearly changed, guessing at a change of ownership.

Support access is the second theme. The same March 2026 reviewer said the only route to support is a ticketwhich goes no where”. Other channels, sie haben geschrieben, had been abandoned.

Community-Feedback (Reddit & Foren)

Community discussion of AN Hosting by name is almost non-existent, which fits a brand that hasn’t advertised since 2016. What happened to its customers is a different matter.

One r/webhosting thread from 6 Kann 2024 makes the lineage explicit, betitelt “Migrating a legacy page from midphase”. The author writes that they werepreviously hosting a few pages and a bit of backend workflows on anhosting/midphase (work that pre-dates aws/gcp)”. They left over a change requiring a manual unlock of FTP access on a schedule, which couldn’t be disabled. FTP is the older protocol for uploading files to a server. That is an AN Hosting-era customer walking away over an operational change.

A larger r/webhosting thread from 21 Juni 2024, “Midphase support is not 24/7, at best 8/5”, collected 34 comments during the platform migration. The reported problems are specific. One commenter’s email had been down four days, and they couldn’t open a ticket, because that required a verification email they couldn’t receive. Another was repeatedly given DNS settings that turned out to be wrong. A third wroteLost like 5 years of emails”, because old messages didn’t carry across to the new mail system.

One failure mode deserves naming above the rest, and it’s the verification-email loop. Technischer Support ist nur per Ticket möglich, ticket access needs verification, and verification goes to your hosted mailbox. If the mailbox is what broke, you’re locked out of the only channel that can fix it.

This pattern isn’t new either. An r/sysadmin post from 2 Juli 2018 describes a customer who couldn’t get a domain transfer code. The code kept going to an email address that no longer existed, and support stayed silent for a month.

Support-Qualität

Support is narrower than AN Hosting’s 2016 Versprechen von 24/7 US-based phone help. The published number, +1 (302) 405 7677, covers sales and billing only, 6:00bin zu 3:00pm Eastern Time, Montag bis Freitag. Technical support for hosting, Domänen, email and ecommerce is ticket-only, though tickets are staffed 24/7.

Midphase’s contact page still opens by saying you can reach them “jederzeit, Tag oder Nacht”. For a technical fault at 2am on a Saturday, that means a ticket queue and nothing else.

When to Use AN Hosting

Seien wir direkt: no new buyer should choose AN Hosting in 2026. The signup path doesn’t exist and the domain doesn’t resolve. Anything sold to you as AN Hosting today is really somebody else’s product.

The Only Situation That Still Applies

You already have an old AN Hosting account: Your service still exists if you’ve been paying the same bill since before 2016. It runs on Midphase and hasn’t been cancelled. Log in through the Midphase control panel. There’s no AN Hosting portal left to hunt for.

You’re auditing an inherited website: Plenty of small businesses have a site somebody set up on AN Hosting fifteen years ago and then forgot. If your billing records still say AN Hosting, this review tells you where to look.

You’ll Need to Act If

  • Your domain is registered through the same account – weil die 2018 und 2024 reports both show recovery getting difficult when contact details go stale
  • Your email runs on the hosting accountbecause a mail outage locks you out of ticket support
  • You’ve never checked what you renew atbecause the entry rate you signed up on is long gone

When NOT to Use AN Hosting

Kein Gastgeber passt zu jedem, but this one suits nobody who is buying today. Look elsewhere if any of the following describes you.

Schauen Sie woanders hin, wenn

You want to buy hosting at all: Es gibt kein Produkt zum Kaufen. The website doesn’t load, the domain has no DNS zone, and no certificate has been issued for it since April 2026. Any page offering you an AN Hosting signup link is sending you to a dead address or quietly to somebody else’s checkout.

You need phone support for technical faults: The successor platform’s phone line handles sales and billing, on weekday business hours only. Technical problems go to a ticket queue. AN Hosting’s own 2016 site advertised 24/7 US-based phone support, so this is a real downgrade for anyone still on the account.

You want to know your renewal price before you commit: Der beworbene USD 1.00 deckt einen Monat ab. What you actually pay is between USD 5.00 und USD 22.00 ein Monat, je nach Stufe, and auto-renewals sit outside the refund policy.

Warnsignale für Ihre Situation

  • You keep your domain and hosting together: Two separate community reports describe domain recovery stalling when the account’s contact email died
  • You rely on hosted email for business: Das 2024 migration produced multi-day mail outages and at least one report of five years of messages lost
  • You dislike forced platform changes: These customers have absorbed a control panel change, a mail system change, and four owners since 2007

Falls einer dieser Punkte zutrifft, Die folgenden Alternativen gehen direkt darauf ein.

AN Hosting Plans and Pricing

⚠️ Verlängerungswarnung: AN Hosting has no live prices, because it has no live website. Anyone quoting one is reading a decade-old archive. On the successor platform, every shared plan costs USD 1.00 for a first month and then renews between USD 5.00 und USD 22.00 pro Monat. That’s a jump of 5x on the cheapest tier and 22x on the most expensive one. Budget for the second month, nicht der erste.

The Last Prices AN Hosting Ever Advertised

Von dem 19 Kann 2016 archive, the single Unlimited Web Hosting plan was sold on three terms:

  • 24 Monate: 5,95 USD/Monat, US Dollar 142.80 vorne, beworben als 25% aus
  • 12 Monate: 6,95 USD/Monat, US Dollar 83.40 vorne, beworben als 12% aus
  • 1 Monat: 7,95 USD/Monat

Small print under the prices readPlans renew at regular rates”. If you see USD 5.95 in an AN Hosting review published this year, that is where it came from. It’s the two-year rate from a page that stopped being served in June 2016.

What the Successor Charges Now

Verified on midphase.com on 10 September 2026, prices excluding VAT. On a one-month term all four tiers cost the same USD 1.00, then renew at wildly different rates.

  • Wesentlich: US Dollar 1.00 erster Monat, renews at USD 5.00/mo. 1 Webseite, 25GB Speicher, one 10GB mailbox
  • persönlich: US Dollar 1.00 erster Monat, verlängert sich zum Preis von 12,00 USD/Monat. 10 Websites, 50GB Speicher
  • Fachmann: US Dollar 1.00 erster Monat, verlängert sich zum Preis von 16,00 USD/Monat. 25 Websites, 75GB Speicher
  • Premier: US Dollar 1.00 erster Monat, verlängert sich zum Preis von 22,00 USD/Monat. Unbegrenzte Websites, 150GB Speicher

Annual terms cut the shock but not by much. Essential runs USD 50.00 for year one then USD 60.00, ein 17% Rabatt. Personal is USD 134.00 dann USD 144.00, welches ist 7% aus. Professionell ist USD 182.00 dann USD 192.00, beim 5% aus. Premier is USD 254.00 dann USD 264.00, beim 4% aus.

Beachten Sie das Muster. The more you spend, the smaller your discount gets. The two-year term follows the same shape, running USD 90.00 dann USD 120.00 on Essential. Nur 1 Monat, 1 Jahr und 2 year terms are offered.

Versteckte Kosten, die es zu beachten gilt

  • Automatische Verlängerung: excluded from the 30-day refund policy entirely
  • Stornierung: must be in writing via a support ticket, mindestens 14 Tage vor Ablauf
  • Renewal charge timing: genommen 7 days before your contract expires
  • Domänen: registered domain names can’t be refunded at all
  • SSL certificates and SEO tools: also excluded from refunds
  • SiteLock-Sicherheit: only bundled on annual Premier plans

Preisurteil

Here’s the trap: a one-month teaser. USD bezahlen 1.00 and then USD 22.00 makes the headline meaningless, and the 30-day refund window won’t help, because it excludes auto-renewals. The annual terms are honest enough, aber a 4% discount on the top tier is barely a discount. For a brand that sold itself on being cheap, that’s a long way from USD 5.95 eben.

AN Hosting Transparency Score

We assess how upfront the brand and its successor are about what matters before you pay.

  • Firmeninformation: Arm – AN Hosting publishes nothing, because it has no website. The successor’s footer names UK2 Group LLC in Wilmington, Delaware, while its postal address is UK-2 Limited in Leeds, England. Neither mentions Your.Online, the owner since February 2026.
  • Preistransparenz: Gut – renewal prices are printed on the plan cards, which many hosts hide. The problem is framing, not disclosure. Advertising USD 1.00 for a plan that renews at USD 22.00 is technically honest and practically misleading.
  • Technische Dokumentation: Begrenzt – data center choices and storage limits are clear. But the plan cards name StackCP, the group’s in-house control panel, while the contact page says to log into CHI. Two panel names on one site is a documentation problem.
  • Bedingungen & Richtlinien: Begrenzt – the refund and auto-renewal policies are readable and specific, Das ist wirklich gut. But the terms hub’s newest promotional terms are from 2021, and the page still carries UK2.net’s title tag rather than Midphase’s.
  • Brand Status Disclosure: Arm – no page anywhere tells an AN Hosting customer their brand is retired. The domain was allowed to fail silently.

Gesamttransparenz: Schwach. The successor discloses prices and refund rules better than most budget hosts do. What nobody discloses is that AN Hosting is finished. Customers found out when their email stopped working.

Alternatives to AN Hosting

Diese drei befassen sich mit den oben genannten spezifischen Lücken, and all pricing was checked on 10 September 2026.

For Renewal Prices You Can See: InMotion Hosting

InMotion prints the renewal rate beside the promotional one on every plan card. Entry shared hosting runs USD 4.79/mo and renews at USD 14.99/mo, in the same line of text. It keeps a 24/7 phone line for technical support and a 90-day money-back guarantee, three times the successor’s window. If losing phone support is what bothers you, Beginnen Sie hier. Compare it against the rest of the market in our Shared-Hosting-Leitfaden.

For Keeping cPanel: HostPapa

Losing cPanel for a proprietary panel is the single loudest complaint from AN Hosting-era customers. HostPapa markets directly at that group, with its own hosting page telling buyers “Sie möchten cPanel, not a proprietary control panel.Entry pricing is USD 2.95/mo on a three-year term, mit 30 Tagen Geld-zurück-Garantie. Renewal is at regular rates rather than a fixed multiple. It’s a reasonable landing spot for a small site that just wants its old workflow back.

For Month-to-Month Freedom: DreamHost

DreamHost lets you pay monthly instead of prepaying years, and shows the exact renewal rate on every plan card. Es trägt eine 100% uptime guarantee and a 30-day money-back guarantee. After watching a fifteen-year prepaid relationship end badly, not committing to a long term has obvious appeal. Unser Webhosting-Leitfaden für die USA covers how it compares with other US-based options.

Moving the mailbox is the hard part of any of these, Lesen Sie also unsere E-Mail-Hosting-Leitfaden zuerst. If your site has outgrown shared hosting, Beginnen Sie mit dem VPS-Hosting-Vergleich stattdessen.

AN Hosting Review at HowToHosting.Guide

Dieses Ergebnis kopieren

AN Hosting is a retired brand, not a hosting company. Its website has been a redirect since June 2016. Its certificates lapsed in July 2026, and today the domain doesn’t resolve at all.

Das Fazit

Mit 4.3/5 über 990 reviews of the platform that inherited its customers, the service behind the name isn’t bad. The helpdesk is well liked, and plenty of people stayed fifteen years. Aber nur 24 of those reviews are from the past year, most invited after a support ticket, und 10% of the total are one-star.

If you’re shopping, ignore this brand and pick from the alternatives above. If you’re already a customer, do two things this month. Confirm what you actually renew at, and move your domain registration somewhere separate from your hosting. That second step is the one the 2018 und 2024 community reports keep proving matters.

Häufig gestellte Fragen

Is AN Hosting still in business?

Nein. AN Hosting is a retired brand name. It stopped having its own website in June 2016 and redirected to midphase.com instead. Ab 10 September 2026, anhosting.com doesn’t resolve in DNS at all, so there’s no site, no email and no signup page.

What happened to my AN Hosting account?

It became a Midphase account. UK2 Group bought both companies in 2007 and merged them onto one platform. Your service should still be running. Log in at midphase.com, because no AN Hosting login page exists any more.

Who owns AN Hosting now?

Your.Online, indirectly. UK2 Group bought AN Hosting in 2007, then passed to Lloyds Development Capital in 2011 and to THG in 2017. Your.Online hat die UK2-Gruppe übernommen, including Midphase, auf 2 Februar 2026. That makes four owners since AN Hosting stopped being independent.

Why do reviews still list AN Hosting prices?

Because they’re copying a 2016 archive. The USD 5.95/mo figure that keeps appearing was AN Hosting’s 24-month rate on the last version of its homepage, captured on 19 Kann 2016. No AN Hosting price has been published anywhere since. Today the successor’s shared plans renew at USD 5.00 in USD 22.00 ein Monat.

Is the AN Hosting on Trustpilot the same company?

Wahrscheinlich nicht, and this catches people out. Trustpilot lists an “AN-Hosting” Wertung 4.4 von 11 Bewertungen. That profile belongs to anhosting.fr, a French game server host with no connection to the US brand. A separate company called AN Web Host exists too. The AN Hosting in this review used anhosting.com.

Should I move my website off it?

Ja, if you value phone support or a mailbox you can rely on. Technical support is now ticket-only, and ticket access needs a verification email sent to your hosted mailbox. If email breaks, you can’t reach support. Zumindest, move your domain registration to a separate registrar so a hosting problem can never cost you the domain.
