This review draws on ProfitServer’s own price tables and contract, UK company records, archived copies of its site, und 140+ customer reviews on three platforms. We didn’t buy or test a server. Instead we dated every review, matched copies across platforms, and compared the contract with the marketing. No other ProfitServer review we found does any of that.
The verdict in brief: ProfitServer is a fair deal for a self-managed Linux or Windows VPS you can afford to lose. It’s a poor pick for anything that needs an uptime promise, a refund window or a supplier you can clearly identify.

ProfitServer is a VPS company first. Its homepage says it currently hosts 10,481 Server. Shared hosting and dedicated machines exist, but they get a fraction of the attention.
The Product Range
- VPS, Linux und Windows – KVM-Virtualisierung (each server runs its own kernel with fixed resources) on Intel Xeon hosts. Root access and custom ISO uploads come with every plan.
- Speicher-VPS – HDD-based plans from 100 GB, sold in some locations.
- Dedizierte Server – ready-built machines from USD 79 ein Monat, mostly older Intel Xeon E3 and E5 hardware.
- Shared Hosting – four plans on ISPmanager (ein Webhosting-Kontrollfeld). The page title reads “Web-hosting in Russia and Amsterdam”.
What Stands Behind the Low Price
Windows Server 2012 R2 through 2022, plus Windows 10, sit in the one-click OS catalogue at Linux prices. Es gibt einen Haken, and it has been one since at least 2017. ProfitServer describes the included Windows as a free trial version, so a long-running Windows server needs its own licence.
The Linux list shows its age. Ubuntu stops at 22.04, although 24.04 came out in April 2024. CentOS 8 Stream and Debian 9 are still offered after reaching end of life. You can upload your own ISO to get around it.
Every VPS also gets L3-L4 DDoS filtering (blocking attack floods at the network level) and a public Looking Glass per location. A Looking Glass is a test point you can ping before you buy, so you can check the route to your users first.
Where the Servers Are
ProfitServer lists 26 Websites: 17 in Europa, five in the US, one each in Hong Kong and Singapore, and two in Russia (Moscow and Chelyabinsk). The European list reaches cities few budget hosts cover, such as Sofia, Thessaloniki, Bukarest, Riga and Milan. Most sites are rented space in facilities run by Equinix, NTT or Digital Realty.
Only one site carries the ProfitServer name: Chelyabinsk. When the homepage credits “our own data center” für Zuverlässigkeit, that’s the building it means. Yet the English VPS order grid doesn’t sell either Russian location.
Geschwindigkeit und Bandbreite
Our search turned up no third-party speed or uptime test of ProfitServer. Its own numbers are modest. A VPS gets a “non-guaranteed” 100 Mbit/s-Port, with a guaranteed floor of 50 Mbps in its own data center and 30 Mbps elsewhere. The Fair Use Policy adds that bandwidth is shared between customers.
Damit “unbegrenzter Verkehr” means no monthly data cap, not unlimited speed. Public high-traffic VPNs, seedboxes and Tor exit nodes are banned outright. Only dedicated servers may run the port at full speed all the time.
Kundenerfahrung
ProfitServer’s largest rating comes from a review platform showing 4.4 aus 5, mit 94 published user reviews. A second platform scores it 8.6 aus 10 von 56 Bewertungen, 50 recommending it and 6 gegen. A third has 2 reviews on a profile ProfitServer never claimed.
We read all 152 of those reviews. Seven are clearly the same review posted on two platforms, with the same date and near-identical text. Four more look like copies but differ in name or date. That leaves at least 141 separate reviews, Das ist, wo die “140+” in our title comes from.
How Old the Ratings Are

Reviews Rewarded With Free Server Time
Here’s what other ProfitServer reviews leave out. The company runs a “Free Server for a Review” Förderung. Post a review on any three of six named review platforms and follow ProfitServer on social media. In return you get 30, 14 oder 7 extra days of VPS rental. The instructions ask reviewers to “highlight what you liked”. Both large platforms above are on that list.
The results show. A long review dated 14 Kann 2026 appears on both platforms under the same reviewer’s name. A short review from 2 August 2026, praising how many servers ProfitServer has, appears in near-identical wording on all three. One platform records that reviewer’s hosting time as “unter 1 Monat”.
Older reviews show another pattern. One reviewer’s email address sits behind 4 reviews on the second platform between 2020 und 2022. The same name signs 3 more on the main platform. Another name appears three times on the main platform between 2019 und 2022. And one paragraph, beginning “ProfitServer is the best VPS Provider i have tried”, appears three times on each platform between 2018 und 2023.
None of this proves the servers are bad. Es bedeutet, dass 4.4 tells you more about 2017 and the promotion than about ProfitServer today.
What Satisfied Customers Mention
We tallied the themes in the 83 main-platform reviews rated 4 stars or higher.
Preis. 57 von ihnen (69%) mention price, cost or cheapness. It’s the one point ProfitServer’s fans agree on.
Unterstützung. 38 (46%) praise support, usually for fast replies. Das “innerhalb 10 Protokoll” figure you’ll see quoted comes from the copied paragraph above, so weigh it lightly.
Geschwindigkeit. 36 (43%) call the servers fast. Nur 3 mention the range of locations, although that’s ProfitServer’s main selling point today.
What Goes Wrong
Less than the plan promised. Ein Mai 2025 reviewer bought Optima in Chelyabinsk on the minimum 3-month term. They report getting 342 MB of RAM instead of 512 MB, und 30-50 Mbit/s instead of the promised 50-100.
Suspensions with prepaid money gone. Two of the seven 1-star reviews on the main platform describe an account or server shut down with prepaid money lost. One lost a full year. In an official reply in September 2019, ProfitServer called one of those reviewers “just a spammer”.
Refunds and slow support. Eins 2018 reviewer called the refund process “too convoluted”. EIN 2022 reviewer describes 3-5 hour support replies, a service that never worked, and a demand for a passport scan to get the money back.
Outages and wrong deliveries. EIN 2021 reviewer says more than 20 sites went down at once, and the dispute was never resolved. EIN 2023 reviewer says the VPS arrived in the wrong location, on an IP address with a bad reputation, and support never replied.
The Windows trial. EIN 2017 reviewer says the sign-up never mentioned that Windows was a trial version, and that ProfitServer refused a refund.
Community-Feedback (Reddit und Foren)
ProfitServer barely exists on Reddit. We searched Reddit for “profitserver”, “profitserver.net”, “profitserver.ru” und “profit server” VPS. None of the results discussed the service. Für einen Gastgeber, der behauptet 10,481 Server, that silence is unusual.
The one relevant hit is a repost of a Reuters report from 7 April 2026. It cites a Ukrainian intelligence assessment saying two Iranian hacking groups “used ProfitServer, a Russian VPS provider from Chelyabinsk, to register domains”. Budget hosts get abused by bad customers all the time, and the report doesn’t accuse ProfitServer of wrongdoing. It does show where outside observers place the company.
A German ex-customer’s 1-star review from October 2025 claims the company moved its seat from Chelyabinsk to London and Tbilisi after sanctions on Russia. We couldn’t verify that history, only the paperwork described under Transparency below.
Support and Refunds
Support läuft 24/7 through tickets and a Telegram channel. ProfitServer publishes no phone number and no response-time target.
ProfitServer has no money-back guarantee. Its refund policy pays out only unused account balance, never money for a service that’s already running. To get it, you sign a termination form, send a passport scan and wait three business days. The contract adds that only whole unused months are refunded, “without regard to discounts” earned by prepaying. In der Praxis, a prepaid year you leave early may be settled as if you’d paid the dearer monthly rate.
When to Use ProfitServer
ProfitServer suits buyers who treat a server as replaceable and can run it without help.
Where It Fits
A Windows VPS for bots, trading terminals or remote desktops: Windows Server is a one-click install at Linux prices. Bring your own licence for anything long-lived.
Personal VPN or proxy nodes in hard-to-find cities: Sofia, Thessaloniki, Bukarest, Riga and Milan are rare on cheap VPS plans. Private VPNs are an allowed use under the Fair Use Policy.
Test and staging machines: Optima costs USD 2.9 a month on a 12-month prepay. That’s cheap enough for a scratch server you wipe whenever you like.
You’ll Do Fine If
- You’ll prepay a year – that’s the only way to get the advertised price

When NOT to Use ProfitServer
Some of ProfitServer’s limits are about the product. The serious ones are about the paperwork.
Choose Something Else If
Uptime has to be in writing: The website promises 99.9% Betriebszeit und “x10 downtime compensation”. The contract you actually accept contains no uptime percentage and no compensation clause. It even says ProfitServer “does not guarantee the absence of out-of-scheduled restarts”.
Your supplier must be documented: A business with compliance or sanctions checks will struggle here. The contract, the contact page and the only company-owned data center point to three different countries. That’s a due-diligence problem even before the Reuters report.
Testing before committing matters: There’s no refund window. Once a service is active, the money is spent.
It’s for a business website: The shared plans stop at PHP 8.2 and cap mail at 20 messages an hour. Most of them come with 100 MB mailboxes.
Deal-Breakers to Check
- Mail servers: outgoing port 25 is blocked in some locations until you pass identity verification
- Missed payments: an unpaid VPS is blocked at midnight GMT+5 and deleted 72 Stunden später, disk included
- Contract changes: ProfitServer may change the agreement “at any time without prior notification”

ProfitServer Plans and Pricing
ProfitServer’s prices are flat: whatever you prepay is what renews, with no cheap first term. That’s a real strength in budget hosting. The trap sits in how the prices are advertised.
Prepay warning: every headline price on the site is the 12-month prepaid rate. The Profi VPS shows as US Dollar 4.3 ein Monat, but pay monthly and it’s US Dollar 5.4, welches ist 26% Mehr. The same 1.25-1.27x gap runs across the whole VPS range. The cheapest plan, Optimal, can’t be bought monthly at all.

Two plan families sit side by side, and they overlap. The M plan (2 Kerne, 2 GB, 15 GB) kostet USD 7.9 on a prepay, the same as Master. Master gives you twice the cores and more than three times the disk. Read the specs, not the plan names.
Das 2026 Price Rise
Archived copies of ProfitServer’s homepage show the old prices as late as 26 Kann 2026, and the new ones by 2 September 2026. On a 12-month prepay, Optima went from USD 1.9 zu 2.9 and Profi from 2.9 zu 4.3. Master rose from 5.9 zu 7.9 and Uber from 11.9 zu 17.2.
Prepaid rates took the biggest hit. Profi’s monthly price only moved from USD 4.5 zu 5.4, so the discount for paying a year ahead shrank from 36% zu 20%. The largest review platform still lists the old prices, and so did our own previous version of this page.
Shared Hosting
Eintrittspreis: US Dollar 1.2 a month for Easy (3 GB, 2 Websites), oder USD 21.6 für drei Jahre. Base+ costs USD 2.4, Profi+ USD 3.6 and Guru+ (25 GB, 50 Websites) US Dollar 5 ein Monat. All four include free SSL and daily backups.
ProfitServer’s own spec table gives Profi+ less CPU time than the cheaper Base+ (250 vs 300). PHP liegt an der Spitze 8.2, which loses security support in December 2026. Outgoing mail is capped at 20 messages an hour, and three of the four plans have 100 MB mailboxes.
Dedizierte Server

How much can a buyer learn about ProfitServer before paying? About prices, eine Menge. About who they’re paying, very little.
- Firmeninformation: Arm – The contact page names Global Profit LLC in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The contract names DATAGEAR LLP, a London partnership registered on 2 Juni 2025, whose two members give a correspondence address in Turkey. The Russian site and the only own data center point to Chelyabinsk. Our previous version of this page listed a Tbilisi, Georgia address.
- Preistransparenz: Gut – Every term price is published for every plan and location. The headline figure is the 12-month rate, but each plan’s monthly price is listed in its breakdown.
- Technische Dokumentation: Gut – Hardware, Virtualisierung, the OS list, port speeds and a Looking Glass for each site are all public. The Fair Use Policy spells out what’s banned.
- Bedingungen und Richtlinien: Begrenzt – The refund rules are clear but harsh. The uptime and compensation promises on the website are missing from the contract.

Our Take
The product is reasonable for the money. You get KVM servers in 26 Standorte, Windows at Linux prices, and no renewal jump once you’ve prepaid. The contract is the weak point. It has no uptime figure, kein Rückerstattungsfenster, and a contracting company registered in June 2025.
Buy ProfitServer for a throwaway VPN node, a bot or a test box that you back up yourself. Anyone who needs a documented supplier or a way out in the first two weeks should pick Cherry Servers or Hetzner instead.
