Kurze Antwort: Hostripples ist auf dem Etikett günstig und im Warenkorb teurer. Die auf der eigenen Website angegebenen Preise sind nicht die Preise, zu denen Sie kaufen können. And the review score you’ll find in search results isn’t the score the platforms show today.
This review is built from three sources. We walked a shared plan through the live order form on 28 Juli 2026 and wrote down what it charged. We read the company’s own terms and refund pages. Then we went through 1,100+ customer reviews across two separate Trustpilot profiles and HostAdvice. Im Gegensatz zu Affiliate-lastigen Bewertungen, we show the renewal math, the checkout fee nobody mentions, and the negative reviews from the last three months.
Gesamtbewertung: Hostripples scores 2.5/5 on its main Trustpilot profile and 3.3/5 on its Indian one, von 567 reviews combined. Strengths are low headline pricing and support agents that older reviewers name and praise. Das 2026 complaints involve a server migration that took sites down for days or weeks, hacked accounts, and refunds being refused. Best suited for a hobby site where a week of downtime costs you nothing. Eine Warnung: reviews written before 2025 describe a different company than reviews written since May 2026, so treat older ones with caution, including the glowing ones.

Funktionen und Dienste
Hostripples sells a broad catalogue for a company this size. Breadth isn’t the problem here. Consistency is.
Angebotene Hosting-Typen
- Shared hosting – Linux with cPanel, Windows with Plesk, plus an SSD tier
- Reseller hosting – Linux (Cpanel und Plesk) und Windows
- VPS hosting – an SSD line and a newer NVMe line (NVMe is a faster type of solid-state storage wired straight to the processor)
- Dedicated servers – USA, Kanada, Frankreich, Indien
- Application hosting – WordPress, Joomla, Magento, Drupal, Django, JSP/Tomcat
- Add-ons – business email, SSL, SiteLock, CodeGuard-Backups
Wichtige Funktionen, die Kunden hervorheben
Read the positive reviews and one thing dominates: named support agents. Reviewers thank people by name for fixing things, which is worth more than a feature list.
- cPanel and Plesk included – no proprietary panel to learn, and your site stays portable if you leave
- Kostenlos Verschlüsseln Sie SSL – included rather than upsold
- Softaculous One-Click-Installer – WordPress and 400+ other apps in a couple of clicks
- Unlimited disk and bandwidth on most shared tiers – with the usual fair-use caveats
Standorte von Rechenzentren
The location picker offers 17 choices for shared hosting: Singapur, Belgien, Kanada, Tschechische Republik, Finnland, Frankreich, Deutschland, Indien, Irland, Italien, Litauen, Niederlande, Polen, Portugal, Spanien, UK and USA. That count checks out, and it’s unusually wide for a budget host.
It matters because physical distance is latency you can’t optimize away. Letting you choose the country is a real advantage.
Eine Einschränkung. The site advertises “Tier-4 Data-center” Einrichtungen. Tier IV is a specific Uptime Institute certification held by a small number of facilities worldwide, and the claim names no certificate and no facility anywhere.
Leistungserwartungen
We have to be straight with you: there is no current independent performance data for Hostripples. The only hands-on speed and uptime test we could find was first published in August 2018. That’s eight years old, and we won’t quote it as though it describes today.
The contractual position is more revealing anyway. The homepage promises a “99.99% Uptime Guarantee.” The footer promises “Garantiert 99.9% uptime.” The Terms of Service, the document that actually binds anyone, commits to the network being free of total outages “99% of each calendar month.”
Those aren’t rounding differences. 99.99% erlaubt etwa 4 minutes of downtime a month. 99% erlaubt etwa 7 hours and 18 Protokoll. The weakest of the three is the one that governs a dispute, and it’s buried deepest.
Kundenerfahrung
The review picture is unusual, and the average score hides the story completely.
Hostripples runs two Trustpilot profiles. hostripples.com holds 263 Bewertungen unter 2.5/5, rated Poor. hostripples.in holds 304 beim 3.3/5. Kombiniert, das ist 567 reviews averaging about 2.9. HostAdvice separately shows 4.7/5 von 556 Bewertungen, while printing a disclaimer on the same page: “This brand does not have enough data for us to review properly.”
Now the part that matters. On the main profile, 80% of reviews are 5-star and only 11% sind 1-Stern. So how is the score 2.5? Trustpilot weights recent reviews far more heavily than old ones, and the recent ones are bad. Nur 7 arrived in the last 12 Monate. The 5-star wall behind them was built years ago.
Was Kunden loben
Support-Mitarbeiter, mit Namen, immer und immer wieder. Isabelle, Nelson, Aschisch, Isela, Remy, Trisha. Reviewers describe agents who stayed with a problem until it was solved. That’s consistent across years and it counts for something.
Price is the second theme, mostly from customers on Indian plans where the rupee pricing really is low. Longevity is the third: several reviewers describe five, seven, even ten years without incident. Whatever went wrong recently, it wasn’t always this way.
Häufige Beschwerden
Server migrations that broke everything. This dominates 2026. Twelve 1-star reviews between 18 May and 24 July describe the same event from different angles: “All my apps were down due to a server migration. No database is working, FTP account is not working.” Ein weiterer: “Their servers have been down for more than two weeks… the only response I have received is that they are migrating to another server.”
Security incidents. Three separate 2026 reviewers report being hacked. From the US: “alle 4 of my hosting accounts were hacked, I have sent in multiple support tickets with little to no response.” From Kazakhstan: “We lost access to nine websites… The websites were hacked and were down for several days.” An Egyptian customer titled their review “OUTDATED cPanel with Multiple Vulnerabilities.”
Refunds refused. Wiederholt, and specifically after outages. “We ask for refund then they deny saying you are not eligible.” “I purchased hosting but haven’t been able to get my site live for even a single day, and they are not providing a refund.”
Price rises without notice. A long-term US customer, Kann 2026: “they randomly increase their fees without notifying me.” EIN 2024 reseller customer: “nach dem 7 years changed many of the terms in my original contract.”
Community-Feedback (Reddit & Foren)
Here’s a finding in its own right. Search Reddit for “hostripples” and you get nothing. Not a thread, not a comment. Reddit’s search doesn’t recognize the word and offers “hostrippler” stattdessen. We found no discussion on WebHostingTalk or LowEndTalk either.
For a company advertising 50,000+ Kunden weltweit, silence across every independent hosting community is strange. It proves nothing on its own. But it does mean there’s no unfiltered record to check the review platforms against.
That gap matters here, because of how the review sources break down. Trustpilot tags how each review arrived. On the main profile, nearly every 5-star review is tagged company-invited, while nearly every 1-star review is organic, meaning the customer went looking for somewhere to complain. The praise was solicited. The criticism arrived on its own.
Noch etwas: hostripples.in displays “rated Excellent, 9.4 aus 10 bezogen auf 500+ Bewertungen” on its homepage, with no source named. That same domain’s Trustpilot profile reads 3.3 aus 5.
Support-Qualität
Support is genuinely the split personality of this company. Channels are 24/7 Plaudern, Fahrkarte, email and a US phone line, more than many budget hosts offer.
When the issue is routine, reviewers rate it highly and name the agent who helped. When the issue is an outage, the same channels go quiet. “Fahrkarte #734711 I posted on 16.07.2026 but solution not provided as on today 24.07.2026.” That’s eight days.
And one hard number: Hostripples has replied to 0 von 24 negative Bewertungen across both Trustpilot profiles. Not a low reply rate. Zero, on profiles held since October 2019.
When to Use Hostripples
There are real scenarios where this works out.
Ideal für
Indian hobby projects and personal sites: At INR 56 zu 70 ein Monat, the Indian Linux plan costs less than a cup of coffee. Für einen Blog, a portfolio or a college project, that value is hard to argue with, and a Mumbai data center keeps it fast locally.
People who want an unusual server location: 17 shared locations including Lithuania, Portugal, Czech Republic and Finland is a wider spread than most budget hosts offer. If you need your site physically in one of those countries and it isn’t critical, few competitors will do it this cheaply.
Windows and Plesk users on a budget: Windows shared hosting with Plesk is a shrinking market that usually carries a premium. Hostripples still sells it across multiple regions at low prices.
Sie werden es zu schätzen wissen, wenn
- You want cPanel or Plesk rather than a proprietary panel, because it means you can move out easily later
- You have simple, routine support needs, since that’s exactly where reviewers rate the team highly
- You’re happy prepaying a year or three to get the lowest rate
- You need a niche European location that bigger hosts don’t offer
When NOT to Use Hostripples
Kein Gastgeber passt zu jedem. Given what the last three months of reviews show, this list is longer than usual.
Schauen Sie woanders hin, wenn
Your site earns money: Mehrere 2026 reviewers report outages measured in days and weeks, with no ETA and no compensation. One wrote: “I lost most of my clients’ trust by hosting application here.” If downtime costs you revenue, the savings don’t cover the exposure.
You need a dedicated server: DDR3-era hardware at USD 160 in USD 235 a month is poor value, and dedicated servers carry no refund at all under Hostripples’ own policy. You’re committing money you can’t recover to hardware you can beat almost anywhere.
You’re a reseller: Reseller customers wrote the angriest 2026 Bewertungen, because when the server went down, every one of their clients went with it.
You need reliable backups: Backups sind ein kostenpflichtiges Add-on. One reviewer states outright that the company lacks a backup system. Another reported losing 1,000 rows from a MySQL database, with the issue denied when raised. Combine that with the hacking reports and run your own off-site backups from day one.
Warnsignale für Ihre Situation
- You need a refund safety net: die beworbene “30 Tage Geld-zurück-Garantie” only covers shared hosting. VPS bekommt 7 days and one refund per customer for life. Cloud and dedicated get nothing.
- You budget precisely: between the expired 50% Coupon, the one-time 20% Coupon, the three-year assumption and the 4.96% checkout fee, the real price is roughly triple the advertised one.
- You want a meaningful uptime guarantee: the binding figure in the Terms is 99% ein Monat, which permits over seven hours of downtime.
- You want to be heard when things go wrong: zero replies to 24 negative reviews is a deliberate posture, not an oversight.

Hostripples Plans and Pricing
We didn’t take the advertised prices on trust. We added a plan to the cart and walked it to checkout. What follows is what the order form charged.
⚠️ Preiswarnung: The advertised prices on Hostripples’ own website are not achievable at checkout. The SMART plan is headlined at USD 1.96/mo on one page and 3,20 USD/Monat auf einem anderen. In the cart it costs US Dollar 71.88 für das Jahr (5,99 USD/Monat), mehr hat 4.96% payment fee, for a real first-year total of US Dollar 75.45. That’s 3.2x the advertised annual equivalent.
Why the Advertised Price Doesn’t Exist
Three things stack up, and each one is verifiable.
Das 50% coupon is expired. A banner across the hosting pages reads “Get Flat 50% OFF on Web Hosting | Gutscheincode: FREEDOM.” Every price on the data center page is calculated from it. Enter it in the cart and you get: “The promotion code entered has expired.” Those USD 1.96 und USD 3.46 headlines cannot be bought at any term length.
A second coupon works, but only once. SUNSHINE20 applies, and the checkout labels it in plain text as a “20% One Time Discount.” It comes off your first invoice and never again.
The headline price is the 36-month rate. “3,20 USD/Monat” assumes you prepay three years. Buy annually and you’re at USD 5.99/mo, 1.88x the number on the page.
Shared Hosting (cPanel, verified in cart)
CLEVER: USD 71.88/year (5,99 USD/Monat) | 2 years USD 119.76 (4,99 USD/Monat) | 3 years USD 143.64 (3,99 USD/Monat)
Erneuert sich um: the same term price with no discount. Annual buyers pay USD 57.50 im ersten Jahr, dann USD 71.88, ein 1.25x step-up. Against the advertised price, the gap is 3.2x.
There’s no monthly option on SMART. Terms confirm it: “Payment is due every 6 oder 12 Monate.”
UNTERNEHMEN: USD 35.97/quarter (11,99 USD/Monat). Free .com domain if paid yearly, 10 Websites, 3 GB RAM.
UNTERNEHMEN: 16,99 USD/Monat. Unbegrenzte Websites, 10 GB RAM. The only shared tier you can buy month to month.
VPS-Hosting
NVMe line starts at: USD 16.56/mo (1 vCore, 2 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe) in Australien, Singapur, Frankreich, Deutschland, Polen, UK or Canada. Tops out at USD 264.96/mo.
SSD line starts at: USD 27/mo in Germany (3 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 150 GB SSD). The same spec is USD 33 in the USA and USD 36 in Singapur.
Note how far these sit from what aggregators list. Several still show Hostripples VPS at “US Dollar 1.33 to USD 2.33.” That figure is years out of date and still being copied around.
Dedizierte Server
USA starts at: USD 160/mo, rising to USD 235/mo
Read the specs before you buy. Der USD 160 plan is an Intel dual quad-core at 3.0 GHz with 16 GB von DDR3 ECC-RAM. Der USD 205 plan is a dual hex-core at 2.66 GHz with 32 GB DDR3. That memory type and those clock speeds place the hardware around 2010 zu 2012. You can rent far newer silicon elsewhere for less. This is the weakest value in the catalogue.
India dedicated starts at INR 6,500/mo for a quad-core with 8 GB RAM und a 1 TB SATA drive.
Indian Pricing (hostripples.in)
The Indian site prices separately and much lower. Linux shared is INR 70/mo (INR 56 with SUNSHINE20), SSD shared INR 280, Windows INR 170, Business INR 600, reseller from INR 700. The entry Linux plan is thinner than it looks: 2 GB-Festplatte, 10 GB Bandbreite, ein E-Mail-Konto.
Versteckte Kosten, die es zu beachten gilt
- Payment gateway fee: 4.96% added at checkout on every order. The About page promises “NO Hidden Charges, NO Extra Fee and NO set up charges.” The setup fee part is true. The rest isn’t.
- Einrichtungsgebühr: US Dollar 0.00, confirmed in cart
- Backups: CodeGuard is a paid add-on
- SSL: kostenlos (Verschlüsseln wir)
- Domain: free on BUSINESS and above if paid yearly, then charged at standard rates and excluded from refunds
Preisurteil
At USD 5.99/mo for the annual entry plan, Hostripples isn’t cheap. It’s mid-market, priced like a host with a reliability record. The problem isn’t the number. It’s how you arrive at it: an expired coupon, a one-time discount, a three-year assumption and an undisclosed fee. Trust the homepage and you’ll pay roughly triple what you budgeted.

Hostripples Transparency Score
This section rates how forthcoming Hostripples is with information, separately from how good the hosting is.
- Firmeninformation: Gut. Better than most budget hosts. Both legal entities are named with registration numbers you can verify: Sarps Technologies LLC (Delaware file 5611310) and Sarps Technologies Pvt. GmbH. (CIN U72900MH2017PTC291079, Nashik). A phone number and physical addresses are published. The marks against it are stale numbers. The About page still says “5 Years Of Web Hosting Excellence” while the contact page says 13 Jahre, and client counts of “5,000+” und “50,000+” appear on the same website.
- Preistransparenz: Arm. The worst category by a distance. An expired coupon drives the advertised prices. The working coupon’s one-time nature is disclosed only inside the checkout. The headline is a 36-month rate in small print. EIN 4.96% fee appears at the final step, on a site that promises no extra fees. Sogar die “Buy Now” buttons are broken, built with a second question mark in the URL so the promo code never passes through.
- Technische Dokumentation: Begrenzt. Server locations are listed clearly and VPS specs are precise. Aber die “Tier-4 Data-center” claim names no facility, and the dedicated listings describe CPUs by core count and clock speed without naming the processor generation. That’s how DDR3-era hardware ends up sold at 2026 Preise.
- Bedingungen & Richtlinien: Begrenzt. The refund policy is published in full and is detailed, which is worth credit. The problem is that it contradicts the marketing above it: one guarantee is advertised, three exist. Same with uptime.
Gesamttransparenz: Arm. The pattern is consistent enough to look like policy rather than sloppiness. Where a number appears twice, the version facing the buyer is the flattering one and the version binding the company is buried.
Alternatives to Hostripples
If the issues above are dealbreakers, these address them directly.
For Reliability and Honest Pricing: Hostinger
Similar entry pricing, a published SLA, and a review corpus in the tens of thousands with recent volume rather than a wall of old 5-stars. Renewal is higher than the promo, as it is nearly everywhere, but it’s shown before you pay. Hostinger erscheint in unserem gesamten Shared-Hosting-Vergleich.
For Better Dedicated and VPS Value: Contabo oder Hetzner
If the dedicated pricing is what put you off, this is the clearest saving in the whole review. Current-generation AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon hardware costs less per month than Hostripples charges for 2010-era kit sold with no refund. Both are covered in our Handbuch für dedizierte Server.
For Indian Hosting Without the Migration Risk: MilesWeb or BigRock
If you’re buying Hostripples for Indian data centers and rupee pricing, established Indian hosts offer the same locality with deeper and more recent review records. Sehen Sie sich unsere an Gastgeberführer für Indien and our comparison of Indian VPS providers.
Resellers should start with our Reseller-Hosting-Vergleich, since reseller customers reported the heaviest losses in 2026.
Hostripples is a long-running budget host with a support team people genuinely like and a 2026 track record that undoes most of that goodwill.
Das Fazit
It scores 2.5/5 über 263 reviews on its main profile and 3.3/5 über 304 on its Indian one. Hostripples delivers friendly support and wide location choice. It falls short on reliability, refund fairness and basic pricing honesty. It’s a reasonable choice for a hobby site in India where a week offline costs nothing. It’s the wrong choice for anything that earns money.
That 80%-5-star figure is real, and it’s also a museum piece. Nur 7 of those reviews arrived in the last year. What arrived instead were twelve 1-star reviews between May and July 2026, describing a migration that took sites down for weeks and a support desk that stopped answering. Until there’s evidence that’s fixed, budget for the possibility that it isn’t.
The simplest thing to take from this review: whatever price you saw advertised, open the cart before you decide. Für weitere Optionen, sehen Sie unsere Shared-Hosting-Vergleich.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
Is Hostripples good for beginners?
Teilweise. You get cPanel or Plesk, WordPress-Installation mit einem Klick, and support staff reviewers praise by name. But beginners are also the least equipped to run their own backups, or to notice a 4.96% fee added at checkout. Both matter here. If it’s your first site, pick a host with fewer traps.
Is Hostripples worth the price?
At the advertised price, Ja. At the real price, Nein. The entry plan is advertised from USD 1.96/mo and costs USD 75.45 for the first year in the cart. That’s mid-market. At that level you can buy from hosts with published SLAs and current scores above 4.
Worüber beschweren sich Kunden am meisten??
Im 2026, one thing above all: server migrations that took sites offline for days or weeks with no clear timeline. Twelve 1-star reviews between May and July describe it. Close behind are hacked accounts, refunds refused after outages, and tickets unanswered past a week. Older complaints center on unannounced price rises.
How does Hostripples compare to Hostinger?
Hostinger is cheaper at renewal, publishes an uptime SLA, and has a large recent review corpus rather than an old one. Hostripples wins on location choice, 17 shared locations against a smaller set, and on Windows Plesk hosting, which Hostinger doesn’t sell. For most buyers that trade isn’t close. See both in our Shared-Hosting-Vergleich.
Does Hostripples offer refunds?
It depends what you bought, and the homepage doesn’t tell you that. Shared Hosting bekommt 30 Tage, described as no-quibble and paid within 72 Std. VPS bekommt 7 Tage, claimable once ever. Cloud and dedicated servers get nothing: once the order is delivered, there’s no refund. Domaingebühren werden niemals erstattet. Mehrere 2026 reviewers report being told they weren’t eligible after outages.
Is Hostripples safe from hacking?
We can’t test that, but we can report what customers say, and it’s the most worrying theme of 2026. Three reviewers this year describe accounts being compromised, one losing access to nine websites at once. Another review is titled “OUTDATED cPanel with Multiple Vulnerabilities.” Backups sind ein kostenpflichtiges Add-on. If you host here, run your own off-site backups and patch everything yourself.
