Risposta breve: MelonCube è economico, semplice host Minecraft che addebita un importo fisso in USD 3.00 per GB di RAM. Da allora non ha più aumentato quel prezzo 2022. Il problema non è il prezzo. It’s that the marketing pages around it have drifted years out of date, and the refund window is only 3 giorni.
Questa recensione si basa su 383 recensioni pubbliche dei clienti, plus MelonCube’s order pages and contract terms read on 12 agosto 2026. We also pulled archived copies of the site back to 2017. A differenza delle recensioni pesanti di affiliazione, we show what the advertised “da USD 1,50/mese” really renews at. We also checked the DDoS and data center claims against MelonCube’s own hardware list.
Valutazione complessiva: MelonCube scores 4.7/5 attraverso 383 recensioni, con 80% valutandolo 5 stelle. Strengths are honest per-GB pricing and support that customers repeatedly call fast. The most common complaints involve lag on smaller plans and difficulty getting refunds. Best suited for small friend-group servers on a fixed budget.
Important context on older reviews: MelonCube replaced the Multicraft 2.0 control panel with its own in-house games panel between 11 February and 8 aprile 2026. So every review published before 2026 describes a panel you no longer get. Its own checkout still lists “Pannello di controllo: Multicraft” a partire da agosto 2026.

Servizio Clienti
Caratteristiche e servizi
MelonCube started as a Minecraft host in March 2013 and still leads with Minecraft. The other product lines exist, but they read like side projects.
Tipi di hosting offerti
- Minecraft Java hosting – the core product, sold purely by RAM (memoria), from 1GB to 48GB
- Hosting VPS – KVM virtual servers with root access
- web hosting – cPanel shared hosting, quattro livelli
- Server dedicati – metallo nudo, from USD 109/mo
Caratteristiche principali evidenziate dai clienti
Reviewers rarely talk about hardware. They talk about the panel and the support desk, so that’s where the real feature story sits.
- One-click plugin and modpack installers – the jar library is current, offering Minecraft 1.21.8 and recent snapshots. A stale jar list would force manual uploads.
- Unlimited player slots at no charge – most game hosts sell slots separately. MelonCube prices the slot add-on at USD 0.00.
- Free MySQL database – su ogni piano, useful for plugins that store data outside the world files.
- Automated restarts and crash recovery – configurable at checkout, up to twice a day.
One item on the order page hasn’t aged well. It still advertises “Giava 8 Supporto” as a selling point. Giava 8 dates from 2014, e il 1.21.8 servers in MelonCube’s own cart need Java 21. The platform is current; the page describing it isn’t.
The same page offers three free trials: Enjin Advanced, Buycraft Ultimate and Minetrends Lite. Two of those products no longer exist. The Enjin Website Builder shut down on 30 aprile 2023, and Minetrends has posted its own retirement notice. Buycraft still runs, but as Tebex, a name MelonCube uses on its homepage and not on its order page.
Posizioni dei data center
Here’s where things get strange. MelonCube gives four different answers about where its servers are, depending on which page you read.
- Informazioni sulla pagina: “4 Posizioni globali” e “13 Worldwide Nodes”
- Network page: five live sites (Montreal, Parigi, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles), plus Bristol marked “COMING SOON”
- Order page: six choices, adding Amsterdam, which the network page never mentions
- Checkout cart: seven choices, adding New Jersey, dropped from the public order page in late 2024
MelonCube’s network page has listed its Bristol, UK data center as “COMING SOON” since at least 6 giugno 2017. Nine years on, you still can’t book it. Need UK hosting? Treat Paris as the closest option, and see our Guida al web hosting nel Regno Unito for hosts with British sites today.
Location drives latency, the delay between a player’s key press and the server responding. European players on a Montreal node will feel it. There’s no Asian or Australian location at all, despite the site suggesting Los Angeles suits players there.
Aspettative di prestazione
MelonCube advertises “100% uptime” e protezione DDoS “in eccesso di 3 Tbps”. DDoS protection filters out attacks that flood a server with junk traffic, e 3 Tbps means 3,000 gigabits per second of it. Its own DDoS page then names the hardware. It lists a Cisco Nexus 7009 at 480Gbps, a Cisco ASR 9001 at 360Gbps, an Arbor PeakFlow unit at 90Gbps and Tilera appliances at 240Gbps. That totals 1,170Gbps, sotto 40% of the advertised figure.
The per-site numbers are further apart still. The network page rates Montreal and Paris at 480Gbps, but Miami and Los Angeles at 20Gbps each. Pick Miami and you get one 150th of the protection the homepage advertises. The order page settles on 480Gbps, so even the storefront won’t repeat the 3 Tbps claim.
We found no independent uptime or latency benchmark for MelonCube. Customer reviews are the only performance evidence available, and they split by plan size. Reviewers on 1GB and 2GB plans mention lag far more often than those on larger ones.
Esperienza del cliente
MelonCube holds a 4.7/5 segnare attraverso 383 recensioni pubbliche. The distribution across the 380 English-language ones is heavily positive. Ci sono 304 5-stella (80%), 33 4-stella, 10 3-stella, 13 2-stella e 20 1-stella (5.3%). Average those raw scores yourself and you get 4.5.
One caveat matters more than the score. This corpus has stopped growing. Del 160 recensioni più recenti, 48 landed in 2021, 60 in 2022, 28 in 2023, 23 in 2024 ed esattamente uno dentro 2025. None at all in 2026. The newest public review dates from 15 novembre 2025. All'incirca 71% di quelli 160 arrived through review invitations, which MelonCube has stopped sending. Quindi il 4.7 describes a service as it ran three or four years ago.
Ciò che i clienti elogiano
Support speed dominates the positive reviews, e non è vicino. Del 20 più recente, nearly all praise the support desk. Titles run “Best support ever!”, “Issue quickly resolved” e “Quick and extremely helpful”. That’s a consistent desk rather than a lucky week.
Il valore è il secondo tema. Reviewers who moved from cheaper hosts describe MelonCube as the first one that stayed up. That combination usually eludes this price bracket. Ease of use is third, with the plugin installer and file manager praised by first-time owners.
Reclami comuni
Lag is the single biggest complaint, and it clusters on small plans. One reviewer running mods described a server that “started lagging worse and would stutter” entro giorni. Another wrote that servers “crash at least once a day on lower tier packs”. Running mods on 1GB or 2GB? Expect trouble.
Refunds are the second theme, and the more serious one. A customer who asked on day six was refused, which matches the 3-day policy but caught them out anyway. Another wrote that MelonCube “didn’t have what they said they had, didn’t work and then didn’t send a refund”.
Account access problems form a smaller but sharper group. In the most recent negative review, from November 2024, a customer’s two-factor login page broke. Their ticket stayed open for nearly a month, and their service was cancelled while they were locked out.
Feedback della comunità (Reddit & Forum)
Oltre le piattaforme di recensione, MelonCube’s community footprint is thin and mostly old. Most Reddit discussion dates from 2019, when the host was compared with McProHosting and PebbleHost. Better to say that plainly than dress up 2019 opinions as current evidence.
The most detailed thread is a 2019 warning post on r/Minecraft. The author reported around five crashes a day and long block lag. Support then offered advice twice before acknowledging their refund request. Their sharpest point still applies: when the refund came through, the server was cut off immediately, leaving no window to move world data out. Back your world up before you ask for money back.
More recent activity is sparse and mixed. A marzo 2024, an r/admincraft user found that a MelonCube MySQL upgrade had broken the LogBlock plugin on an old server. In 2025, an r/ModdedMinecraft commenter recommended them as “rather easy to use” with fast support. That’s about the whole recent record.
Supporta la qualità
Support runs through tickets and a Discord community, 24/7, senza linea telefonica. The praise is consistent and well evidenced. The failure mode is visible too. When a problem needs a decision rather than an answer, such as a refund or a locked account, the same desk slows down. MelonCube lists a four-person team on its About page, which explains both the friendly tone and the thin cover.
When to Use MelonCube
MelonCube is a strong choice in specific scenarios:
Ideale per
Small friend-group servers on a fixed budget: A 4GB plan at USD 12.00/mo handles a vanilla or lightly modded world for a handful of players. You know what month two costs, which is more than most budget hosts offer.
First-time server owners: I programmi di installazione con un clic, free MySQL and free slots remove the setup steps that trip up beginners. Support answers quickly when the question is technical.
People who hate price rises: The per-GB rate has held at USD 3.00 since at least July 2022. If a host has ever doubled your renewal, that stability is the main draw here.
Lo apprezzerai se
- Vuoi pagare mensilmente, because there’s no lock-in and no setup fee
- You need many players on a small server, because slots cost nothing
- You’re in North America or western Europe, where the live nodes are
- You want to scale in 1GB steps, because upgrades are instant
When NOT to Use MelonCube
Nessun host è adatto a tutti. MelonCube isn’t the right choice if:
Cerca altrove se
You want time to evaluate: La finestra di rimborso è 3 days and covers the first payment only. That’s tight for testing a modded server properly. Peggio, Piani VPS, server dedicati, add-ons and domains carry no refund rights at all.
You’re running a large modded or public server: A flat USD 3.00/GB looks fair at 2GB and expensive at 32GB, where you’ll pay USD 96.00/mo. Hosts that discount at scale will beat that comfortably.
You need players in Asia, Oceania or South America: There are no nodes there. Los Angeles is the closest MelonCube gets, and calling that an Australian option asks a lot of the Pacific.
You’re relying on the DDoS headline: Pick Miami or Los Angeles and you sit behind 20Gbps of filtering, non 3 Tbps. That matters if your server is a real attack target.
Bandiere rosse per la tua situazione
- Il supporto telefonico è essenziale: Non ce n'è uno. Tickets and Discord only.
- Potrebbe essere necessario contestare un addebito: A chargeback triggers a USD 200.00 tassa, 66 times the entry plan’s monthly price.
- You want a contractual uptime promise: Il 100% guarantee pays 50% credit at most, and only after a claim. The terms separately disclaim liability for “any disruption, delay, or disconnection of services for any period of time”.
- You depend on backups: Daily backups keep 7 giorni, but the contract says MelonCube isn’t responsible if they fail.

MelonCube Transparency Score
We assess how upfront MelonCube is with the information a buyer needs:
- Informazioni aziendali: Eccellente – the parent company, VentureNode LLC, is named on the About page with an Ohio registration and a postal address. Team size and founding date are stated too.
- Trasparenza dei prezzi: Buona – the per-GB ladder is published in full, with billing-cycle discounts stated as percentages. The mark against it is the “da USD 1,50/mese” titolo, which never says it covers one month.
- Documentazione tecnica: Limitato – the specs and network pages are detailed, but they contradict the order page on DDoS capacity and each other on locations. A Bristol site has been “Prossimamente” da 2017.
- condizioni & Politiche: Buona – the 3-day refund limit, the no-refund product list and the USD 200 chargeback fee are all written plainly. Harsh, but not hidden.
Trasparenza generale: Better than most on who they are and what they charge, weaker on what they’ve built. The contract tells you the truth. The marketing pages haven’t been reconciled with it, or with each other, in years.
Alternatives to MelonCube
If MelonCube doesn’t fit, questi risolvono le sue lacune specifiche:
Per un costo inferiore per GB: PebbleHost
PebbleHost advertises its budget Minecraft line at USD 1.00 per GB, a third of MelonCube’s rate. The trade-off is shared CPU on the budget tier, so it suits small vanilla worlds rather than heavy modpacks. See where both sit in our Guida all'hosting del server Minecraft.
For Easier Refunds: Shockbyte
Shockbyte’s refund window is also 3 giorni, but you trigger it yourself from the control panel without opening a ticket. Refund friction is MelonCube’s most repeated complaint, so taking the support desk out of that path is worth something.
Per prezzi di rinnovo onesti: Hosting Apex
Apex prints the first-month price next to the recurring price on every plan card, quindi USD 11.24 sits beside USD 14.99. It costs more than MelonCube, but you can’t misread month two.
For other games, Nostro Confronto hosting di server di gioco covers hosts running Rust, ARK and titles MelonCube doesn’t offer.
MelonCube earns 4.7/5 attraverso 383 reviews and remains a decent, cheap home for a small Minecraft server. It’s held its price for four years, doesn’t charge for slots, and answers tickets fast.
La linea di fondo
Buy it for what it does now, not for what the website says. Those pages promise 3 Tbps of protection the hardware doesn’t support, a UK data center nine years late, and free trials for two dead products. None of that breaks a 4GB survival server. The price you’re quoted is the price you’ll keep paying.
Con 4.7/5 attraverso 383 recensioni, MelonCube delivers on price stability and support speed. It falls short on accuracy and refund flexibility. Buy it for a small friend-group server, not a large modded network.

Domande frequenti
Is MelonCube good for beginners?
sì. The one-click installers handle plugins and modpacks without file editing. Player slots and a MySQL database are free, so there’s little to configure. Support answers quickly when you get stuck.
Is MelonCube worth the price?
At small sizes, sì. A 4GB server costs USD 12.00/mo and stays there. But the rate is flat at USD 3.00 per GB, so value drops as you scale. At 32GB you’d pay USD 96.00/mo, and hosts that discount larger plans will beat that.
Di cosa si lamentano di più i clienti??
Tre cose. Lag and crashes on the 1GB and 2GB plans, especially with mods. Refunds refused after the 3-day window closes. And slow ticket handling when the problem is account access rather than a technical fault.
How does MelonCube compare to Shockbyte?
MelonCube is cheaper per gigabyte and includes free slots. Shockbyte has more locations and lets you request a refund yourself from the control panel. Both use a 3-day window, so neither gives you long to test.
Does MelonCube offer refunds?
Solo 3 giorni, and only on your first payment for Minecraft or web hosting. Piani VPS, server dedicati, add-ons and domains have no refund rights at all. Back up your world first, because customers report the server being cut off the moment the refund goes through.
Is MelonCube’s 100% uptime guarantee real?
It’s a real policy, but a limited one. You get a 10% account credit after 15 minutes of downtime in a month, salendo a 50% dopo 24 ore. It never pays more than half your monthly fee, and MelonCube can decline a claim at its discretion.
