Risposta breve: Flexwebhosting is a Dutch host that costs a lot more than it did three years ago, for exactly the same product. Its entry shared plan was EUR 10.99 per month in January 2023. Today it’s EUR 24.99. The feature list on that plan hasn’t changed at all in those three and a half years.
This review draws on the provider’s own live pages and terms, read in July 2026, più 244 customer reviews across two platforms. We also pulled archived copies of its pricing page back to 2021. That shows what the price actually did, not what today’s marketing page says. Most reviews of this host quote a promotional rate and stop there. There is no promotional rate here, and that’s the least of the problems.
Valutazione complessiva: Flexwebhosting scores 1.4 fuori da 5 a partire dal 101 Recensioni di Trustpilot, e 3.1 fuori da 5 a partire dal 143 on the Dutch platform webhosters.nl. Strengths are real but narrow: phone support that helps once you reach it, and Dutch data centers. The complaints are about price rises, cancellation friction, and an unreachable helpdesk. Best suited for existing customers who value a Dutch phone number over price.
Una nota sulle recensioni precedenti. Flexwebhosting’s entry shared plan cost EUR 19.99 per month on 23 novembre 2025 ed EUR 24.99 sopra 9 dicembre 2025. Any review quoting a lower figure describes a price that no longer exists. PCextreme also acquired Flexwebhosting in December 2019 and the founder left, so anything written before then describes a different business.

Caratteristiche e servizi
Flexwebhosting has run since 2001 and claims over 60,000 customers and roughly 6,500 server web. The product range is broad but shallow.
Tipi di hosting offerti
- Hosting condiviso – three plans, all on DirectAdmin (a control panel for managing domains, posta elettronica e database)
- Hosting rivenditori – three plans from 25 per 100 siti web, also DirectAdmin
- Hosting VPS – both fixed packages and configurable cloud instances
- Server dedicati – listed in the range, with unmanaged options in the add-on price list
- Email packages – standalone mailbox hosting, sold separately from web hosting
Non esiste un prodotto WordPress gestito, despite what the site says. The shared hosting page tells you “onze WordPress hosting” handles installation, updates and backups for you. Click the link and you land on an unrelated blog post about a WordPress security warning. Abbiamo controllato 31 luglio 2026: no WordPress plan exists to buy anywhere on the site.
Caratteristiche principali evidenziate dai clienti
Reviews rarely praise features here. Lodano le persone. When customers do name something concrete, it’s almost always one of these:
- Dutch phone support – a real number staffed on weekdays, which many budget hosts don’t offer
- Filtraggio di SpamExperts – on every shared plan, with access to the management dashboard
- Uptime in normal conditions – some reviewers say their sites simply run, while complaining about everything else
Now the gap. Certificati SSL (the encryption that puts the padlock in a browser’s address bar) are not part of any shared plan. They start at EUR 5.99 per month billed annually. Versio and Vimexx, two of the alternatives below, both include a free Let’s Encrypt certificate.
Posizioni dei data center
Servers are in the Amsterdam region. For a Dutch or Belgian audience that’s the right answer: a shorter physical distance means lower latency, the delay before a server starts responding. Flexwebhosting doesn’t name the specific facilities.
Aspettative di prestazione
We found no independent benchmark data for Flexwebhosting. Nessun test di velocità di terze parti, no published uptime monitoring, nothing recent enough to cite. We won’t invent numbers to fill that gap.
What we can check is the spec sheet, and it hasn’t aged well. Il “always included” list says “PHP7 met 128MB geheugen”, and that line has been on the page since at least August 2021. PHP 7.4, the last release in that line, stopped receiving security fixes in November 2022. In practice the platform runs newer versions: the knowledge base documents PHP 8.3 e 8.4 on Flexwebhosting servers. So the software is fine and the page describing it is five years stale. A buyer comparing spec sheets would conclude otherwise.
Esperienza del cliente
Here’s where the review breaks open. The two headline scores disagree wildly, and neither is wrong. They’re measuring different eras.
The Trustpilot distribution is 72 one-star reviews and 20 five-star reviews, senza quasi nulla in mezzo. Split those by year and the pattern is unmistakable. In 2020 the profile averaged 4.4 attraverso 18 recensioni, 15 of them five-star. In 2024, tutti 20 reviews that year were one-star. In 2026 finora, tutti 8 reviews are one-star. That five-star cluster is a burst from 2020, right after the profile was claimed in January of that year. The webhosters.nl split of 44% cinque stelle e 40% one-star tells the same story in a different shape.
Ciò che i clienti elogiano
Positive reviews here are about individuals rather than the product. Un novembre 2025 reviewer locked out of their email praised a named staff member for walking them through a password reset. Another spent months failing to configure email on an iPhone. Flexwebhosting eventually traced it to a misplaced full stop in the settings.
The provider’s own site carries testimonials along the same lines, including an agency hosting more than 300 siti. Treat those as curated, because they are. But they match what the independent positive reviews say. When you reach a competent person here, the service is good.
Reclami comuni
Price is the dominant theme, and reviewers give figures. One describes a 270% rise over three years. Another watched an email package go from EUR 24 è l'EUR 188 un anno. A third started at EUR 12 a year and recently paid EUR 102. These are self-reported, but the direction matches the archived pricing pages exactly.
Cancellation is the second theme, and it’s uglier. Reviewers say services are easy to start online and hard to stop. Several report invoices arriving after they believed they had cancelled, including one for EUR 220. Some mention debt collectors. Article 27.10 of the terms is relevant: if you could have switched a service off yourself and didn’t, the contract is treated as renewed.
Third is reachability. A recurring quote is the hold message: “langer dan u van ons gewend bent”, longer than you’re used to from us. One reviewer waited 47 minuti.
Feedback della comunità (Reddit & Forum)
Here’s an unusual finding: Flexwebhosting has essentially no community footprint. We searched Reddit and the Dutch hosting forums and found no substantial recent discussion. The webhostingtalk.nl thread about the provider dates from 2011 e 2012, and it’s positive. It describes a company that no longer exists in the same form.
So the candid feedback lives on Trustpilot instead, and the mechanics there are worth showing. Del 74 recensioni negative, 72 arrived organically, meaning the customer sought out the platform unprompted. Del 21 recensioni positive, 9 came through a company-distributed invitation link. Flexwebhosting has also switched off review collection, and it has replied to none of the 12 negative reviews in Trustpilot’s reply-behaviour sample.
Uno 2026 complaint is worth repeating because it’s checkable: “php wordt niet geüpdate”, PHP isn’t being updated. The platform does offer PHP 8.4. But the product page still advertises PHP 7, so you can see how a customer reached that conclusion.
Supporta la qualità
Channels are ticket, chat and telephone, nei giorni feriali. Sales is 040 235 9290 and customer service is 038 726 0087. Having a phone line at all puts Flexwebhosting ahead of many cheaper Dutch hosts, and the strongest praise reviews describe phone calls.
Getting to that line is the problem. There’s also a structural catch: anything beyond routine support is billable at EUR 120 all'ora, o EUR 175 outside office hours.
When to Use Flexwebhosting
There are a few specific situations where this host works.
Ideale per
Agencies and resellers who want a Dutch phone number: The reseller plans include external backup space matching your storage. Long-term agency customers praise the technical staff. If your clients call you and you need to call someone, that chain works here.
Businesses that need many mailboxes on Dutch infrastructure: Every plan carries unlimited email accounts with SpamExperts filtering, on servers in the Amsterdam region. That covers a common Dutch data residency requirement without extra thought.
Lo apprezzerai se
- You want predictable in-year billing, because there’s no promotional rate that expires and doubles
- You need VPS capacity on Dutch infrastructure, where entry pricing starts at EUR 26.99 al mese
- You value talking to a person over saving twenty euros a month
- You’re already a customer with a working setup, and migration risk outweighs the saving
When NOT to Use Flexwebhosting
Per la maggior parte degli acquirenti 2026, this isn’t the right host. Here’s specifically why.
Cerca altrove se
You’re price sensitive: euro 24.99 al mese per 20 GB is roughly double the market rate. Vimexx, TransIP and Antagonist all give you more for less.
You need a guaranteed uptime figure: The shared hosting page advertises “99,9% uptime garantie” through an SLA (Contratto di servizio, un impegno contrattuale di uptime). That SLA link returns a 404 errore, checked 31 luglio 2026. Article 18.1 is explicit: no availability guarantee applies unless a separate SLA has been agreed.
You’re relying on the host for backups: The same page promises a daily backup of every hosting package. Article 19.1 says the opposite: “rust er geen plicht op Leverancier om reservekopieën (back-ups) te maken”. No obligation to make backups at all. Restores are billed hourly.
Vuoi WordPress gestito: The product doesn’t exist, whatever the shared hosting page says.
Bandiere rosse per la tua situazione
- You want to walk away from a price rise: Article 22.3 grants annual and mid-term increases, with no cancellation right
- Odi gli impegni lunghi: One-year minimum term, no interim cancellation, under article 27.1
- You need free SSL: Certificates start at EUR 5.99 al mese, when the market standard is free
- You want to know who owns your host: The site never names a parent company

Flexwebhosting Transparency Score
We assess how upfront Flexwebhosting is with information that affects your buying decision:
- Informazioni aziendali: Limitato – The KvK number, VAT number and both addresses are published. Ownership is not. Two traces confirm the group link today: kennisbank.flexwebhosting.nl redirects to versio.nl, and the company’s IP range is announced by an autonomous system registered to “Your Hosting B.V. part of Your.Online”.
- Trasparenza dei prezzi: Buona – Prices are on the page, VAT status is stated, and there’s no bait promotional rate. The gap is history: nothing tells you the price rose 127% in three and a half years.
- Documentazione tecnica: Povero – The spec sheet advertises PHP 7 while the servers run PHP 8.4. The SLA link is dead. The WordPress link goes to an unrelated blog post. Data centers are described only as “regio Amsterdam”.
- condizioni & Politiche: Buona – The terms are thorough and honest about the limits of what’s promised. That’s the twist: they’re clear precisely where the marketing pages are not. No money-back guarantee exists beyond the statutory 14-day consumer withdrawal right.
Trasparenza generale: Misto, and mixed in a costly direction. The legal documents tell the truth about backups, uptime and price rises. The sales pages tell you something warmer. A buyer who reads only the product page will be surprised later.
Alternatives to Flexwebhosting
Questi tre risolvono le lacune specifiche di cui sopra.
For More Storage at the Same Price: Versione
This one is awkward, because Versio appears to sit in the same corporate group. Its Complete Web plan is EUR 24.99 per month on a one-year term, exactly what Flexwebhosting charges for Complete. For the same money you get 150 GB invece di 20 GB, lo stesso 5 siti web, gratuito Crittografiamo SSL, e 14 giorni di backup. Three years drops it to EUR 17.49.
For the Best Value: Vimexx
Vimexx publishes both promo and renewal prices openly, che è raro. Its Compleet plan renews at EUR 11.99 per month with unlimited SSD storage, free SSL and daily backups kept 60 giorni. Less than half Flexwebhosting’s entry price, for more of everything.
For Honest Renewal Pricing: Antagonista
Antagonist prints the standard rate next to the promotional one, in the form “Nu 1 jaar van EUR 17,99 voor EUR 9,99”. You can see what year two costs before you buy. Its Slim plan is EUR 5.55 per month in year one and EUR 9.99 dopo, con 50 GB SSD. Twice Flexwebhosting’s storage for well under half the price.

Flexwebhosting Plans and Pricing
Every price below excludes 21% Dutch VAT, and every plan runs on a one-year minimum term. There’s no promotional rate, no multi-year discount, no first-year teaser. In that narrow sense there’s no renewal shock: you pay in year two what you paid in year one.
⚠️ Price Escalation Warning: The catch isn’t the renewal multiplier. It’s the list price itself. Flexwebhosting’s cheapest shared plan went from EUR 10.99 è l'EUR 15.99 è l'EUR 19.99 è l'EUR 24.99 per month between January 2023 and December 2025. That’s 2.27x in three and a half years, on a plan whose specification never changed. Article 22.3 allows those rises “zonder dat dit resulteert in een mogelijkheid voor Klant om de Overeenkomst op te zeggen”. Translated: a price rise gives you no right to cancel.
Hosting condiviso
Completare: euro 24.99 al mese. 5 siti web, 20 GB di archiviazione, account di posta elettronica illimitati, database illimitati.
Max: euro 29.99 al mese. 10 siti web, 100 GB di archiviazione.
Energia: euro 34.99 al mese. 10 siti web, 200 GB di archiviazione.
Look at the jump between Complete and Max. Five euros a month buys five times the storage, which makes the entry plan poor value against its own stablemates.
Hosting VPS
A partire da: euro 26.99 per month for a Standaard Cloud VPS on local NVMe storage (a flash storage type much faster than older SSDs). The High Available option is EUR 37.50 and runs on Ceph. That’s a clustered storage system: it copies your data across several machines, so one failure doesn’t take you offline. Fixed packages run from EUR 41.99 up to EUR 164. Budget for administration time: hands-on support is billed by the hour, non in bundle.
Reseller and Email
Reseller plans are EUR 29, euro 59 ed EUR 89 al mese per 25, 50 e 100 siti web. Each includes external backup space matching the plan size, more than shared customers get. Standalone email is EUR 14.99 al mese per 20 GB, o EUR 16.99 per 50 GB.
Costi nascosti da tenere d'occhio
- Certificato SSL: dall'EUR 5.99 al mese, fatturato annualmente. Not included on any plan.
- Support beyond the basics: euro 120 per hour in office hours, euro 175 per hour outside them.
- Backup restores: billed at the hourly rate under article 19.2 of the terms.
- Traffic over your limit: euro 0.25 per GB.
- Installatron (programma di installazione dell'app con un clic): euro 7.50 al mese.
Verdetto sui prezzi
Against the Dutch market, Flexwebhosting is expensive. TransIP’s Max plan is EUR 29.99 per 250 GB e 5 siti web. Flexwebhosting asks EUR 24.99 per 20 GB and charges extra for SSL. Per gigabyte that’s roughly EUR 1.25 un mese, against about EUR 0.12 for TransIP’s Max.

Flexwebhosting earns 1.5 fuori da 5 da noi. The people are good and the infrastructure works. Almost everything around them has moved against the customer.
La linea di fondo
Con 1.4 fuori da 5 attraverso 101 Recensioni di Trustpilot e 3.1 attraverso 143 on webhosters.nl, Flexwebhosting delivers competent Dutch phone support but charges roughly double the market rate for a plan that hasn’t improved since 2023. The terms let it raise your price without giving you the right to leave. They also disclaim the uptime guarantee and daily backups the product page advertises.
It’s defensible for an agency that values a Dutch phone line and has budget to spare. It’s not a sensible choice for anyone buying on value in 2026. Already a customer? Compare your renewal invoice against what EUR 25 buys elsewhere before you pay it. I nostri Netherlands VPS hosting guide covers stronger options at similar money.
Domande frequenti
Is Flexwebhosting good for beginners?
Non proprio. The panel is DirectAdmin, capable but less friendly than modern alternatives. No one-click installer is bundled: Installatron costs EUR 7.50 per month on top. There’s no managed WordPress plan at all. The phone support helps, but beginners get better value elsewhere.
Is Flexwebhosting worth the price?
Sui numeri, no. The entry plan is EUR 24.99 per month excluding VAT for 20 GB. Vimexx charges EUR 11.99 for unlimited storage with free SSL. You’re paying a premium for Dutch phone support and little else.
Di cosa si lamentano di più i clienti??
Tre cose, al fine. Price rises, with one reviewer reporting 270% oltre tre anni. Cancellation problems, including invoices and debt collectors after customers believed they had stopped the service. And an unreachable helpdesk, with one reviewer reporting a 47-minute wait.
Who owns Flexwebhosting?
PCextreme acquired it in December 2019 from founder Jeroen Bouten. PCextreme is part of Total Webhosting Solutions, which merged with Gandi in 2023 to form Your.Online. The site names no parent company, so many customers only noticed the change through billing.
Does Flexwebhosting guarantee uptime and backups?
Not by default. The shared hosting page advertises a 99.9% uptime guarantee and daily backups, both tied to an SLA whose page returns a 404 errore. Article 18.1 gives no availability guarantee without a separately agreed SLA, and article 19.1 states there’s no obligation to make backups.
Does Flexwebhosting offer refunds?
Non è prevista alcuna garanzia di rimborso, only the statutory 14-day withdrawal right. Dopo il primo anno, consumers can cancel with one month’s notice under the Dutch Wet van Dam, with unused months refunded pro rata. Business customers are locked to the contract end date.
