Two limits the plan pages skip. The shared hosting contract blocks six PHP functions: set_time_limit(), passthru(), système(), popen(), shell_exec() and proc_open(). Most WordPress sites never touch these, but a custom application that shells out to a system binary will break. The same contract sets guaranteed bandwidth at 100 Mbit / s. So what does that mean if your visitors aren’t European? There is no US, Asian or Australian region. Readers in Sydney or Los Angeles pay for a round trip to Geneva on every request. For a Swiss or European audience that’s fine. For a global one it’s a real handicap.

Infomaniak is also quiet about the details. We checked the ecology, sovereign cloud, housing and hosting pages and found no data center count and no site list. The housing page states only that the facilities are in Geneva.

We found no independent benchmark from a primary publisher, so we won’t quote one. Infomaniak’s own incident log is public and dated, so we read that instead.

The control panel is the second theme. One reviewer in April 2026 wrote that adding an email address to a newly bought domain took three calls to support. Others describe account recovery loops where the reset instructions require the credentials you lost.

Billing accuracy comes up too. A reply in the 15 août 2026 pricing thread said the manager sometimes shows two different prices for the same item on one page.

The seven-day phone window belongs to Support Plus at EUR 50/mo, which also cuts the guaranteed response to four hours. Pro Support at EUR 250/mo brings that to two hours plus 24/7 emergency calls. All paid tiers carry a six-month minimum.

That explains a July 2026 complaint we found, where a customer wrote that reaching a human costs 50 euros par mois. Infomaniak’s own comparison page backs them up. Support is included and it’s competent, but the advertised availability is the paid version.

Now the transparency problem. Infomaniak publishes the entry price and the ceiling of the range, but not the ladder between them. There is no public price for a 400 Forfait GB. A Reddit user raised this on 15 août 2026 and reported that support confirmed no public price list exists. We tested the order flow: after picking a domain, the next screen asks you to create an account, before any hosting price appears.

Against European rivals Infomaniak is mid-priced and predictable. Against budget hosts it looks expensive, because those hosts quote a first-term rate they have no intention of keeping. Work out the four-year cost and the gap narrows sharply. The genuine cost risks here are the annual prepayment, the unpublished middle of the range and clause 5.7.

Infomaniak Transparency Score

We assess how upfront Infomaniak is with important information:
