DDoS-Guard sells mitigation first and infrastructure second. Every product wraps the same filtering network. The company says it has protected over 710,000 enterprises since 2011, and publishes nothing you can use to check that.

You can buy servers in exactly two cities: Moscow and Amsterdam. Dedicated servers list five halls across them. Two cities. That’s the whole map.

The scrubbing nodes are a separate network, and here the company turns vague. Its technology pages place nodes in “the largest data centers in Europe, les Etats Unis, South America and Asia” and never name one. For a service whose entire value is where its filtering sits, that omission matters. The IP blocks are odd too. Addresses serving the company’s own site and its cPanel servers sit under the netname IQWEB-LLC-NET with the country code BZ, for Belize. That’s a registration record, not proof of where the metal sits. It does fit a recurring complaint about addresses that visitors’ networks treat with suspicion.

DDoS-Guard publishes 4 Tbps of scrubbing capacity, 2,503,891 attacks mitigated during 2025, and a largest single attack of 2.46 Tbps. All self-reported. We found no independent benchmark of its mitigation or hosting speed, which is normal here.

Two other numbers matter more. The uptime commitment reads “up to 99.95%” on the network protection page and a flat “99.95% Disponibilité du SLA” sur la page À propos. The agreement is published only as a PDF of images, so you can’t search it or paste a clause into an email.

Shared hosting is the weaker half. The hosting page advertises “PHP 7.0-8.2 versions support” while the comparison table on the same page says 7.0-8.3. Both are behind. PHP 8.2 loses security patches on 31 décembre 2026, 8.3 gets critical fixes only, and current is 8.5. Cette “PHP 7.0-8.2” line has sat unchanged since September 2024.

DDoS-Guard has 256 reviews across five public platforms, and the scores don’t agree. Two put it at 2.0/5 et 2.1/5. Three put it at 4.5/5, 9/10 et 9.3/10. That looks like a contradiction until you check the dates.

le 9.3/10 rests on 41 reviews whose newest entry is from May 2022, et 36 were written between 2017 et 2019. le 9/10 comes from four ratings and one written review, dated March 2025, which that platform labels incentivized. le 4.5/5 sits on a directory page still quoting a plan called Start-Up at USD 17 un mois, which DDoS-Guard no longer sells. The mitigation works when it’s aimed at the right problem. A network engineer in April 2026 called the On-Demand plan production-ready and a direct replacement for black-holing attacked addresses. That reads like someone who runs a network for a living.

Reviewers on the business software platforms call the control panel clean and readable for non-specialists. Real-time attack analytics come up often, and so does setup speed. Protection activates in minutes rather than days, and for someone whose site went down this morning, that’s the whole product. No reviewer reports a surprise bill after a large attack either.

Plaintes courantes

Refunds dominate. One customer in January 2026 wrote that they had waited a month for their money and were still waiting. Another in August 2025 reported a flat refusal. The pattern goes back years, and the company publishes no refund policy either way.

Cost is the second theme, usually paired with support charges. A developer in July 2025 described a client paying over USD 300 un mois pour un VPS, plus over USD 500 in support tickets. Whether every ticket carried a fee is one person’s account. The frequency of “they keep asking for more money” is not.

Third comes IP reachability. A customer in August 2025 said their site went unreachable from some countries after being assigned Russian addresses. Another in April 2026 ordered an Amsterdam server and got an address geolocated to the Emirates. If your traffic is regional, ask what address you’ll get before you pay.

Reddit tells a different story, because the loudest voices there aren’t customers. They’re the customers’ visiteurs.

The most common DDoS-Guard thread is somebody stuck on the check page. Users in r/TOR (avril 2026) and r/Annas_Archive (October and November 2025) describe a verification loop that regenerates request IDs and never passes. One thread covers an “I’m not a robot” box that ignores clicks. Threads in r/techsupport and r/firefox from March 2026 show ordinary users alarmed by the interstitial, asking whether they’ve been hacked. En octobre 2021, r/CrackWatch users reported Verizon blocking sites behind the service, which we couldn’t confirm independently.

The second finding is an absence. Search the hosting subreddits and there’s almost no discussion of buying from DDoS-Guard. Then there’s the company it keeps, which reaches you through IP reputation. The European Commission’s Counterfeit and Piracy Watch List, published on 22 Mai 2025, names DDoS-Guard.net again. It reports that rightholders say the service does not respond to takedown notices. Reviews on three platforms, daté 2024 à travers 2026, describe filing abuse reports about illegal content and getting no reply.

When to Use DDoS-Guard

DDoS-Guard fits a narrow set of situations, and fits them well.

Sites under attack right now: if your host has suspended you or can’t cope, protection activates in minutes. The bill won’t grow with the attack. That combination has real value mid-incident.

Network operators with their own AS: BGP-based protection with On-Demand billing gives 24 hours of mitigation per month. That suits an operator who gets hit occasionally, and it’s what the most credible positive reviews describe.

You need a refund path: there’s no money-back guarantee anywhere on the site. We checked the whole 449-URL sitemap and found no refund page. Customer reports about getting money back are consistently bad.

Your visitors use privacy tools: the challenge page defeats Tor Browser users repeatedly, going by threads still posted in 2026. If part of your audience can’t reach you, protection has cost you the traffic the attack was meant to.

You need a clean jurisdiction on paper: regulated buyers, public-sector procurement and anyone facing a compliance questionnaire will struggle. The transparency section explains why.

An inode is one stored file, donc 40,000 is a real ceiling on a busy site. Moscow and Amsterdam cost the same. Simple takes no third-party SSL certificate and has no email, so it’s thinner than the price suggests.

The custom builder shows how those totals are assembled, and it’s the most useful page on the site. A CPU core costs USD 9 un mois, a GB of RAM USD 14, et 10 GB of SSD USD 9. Now run the arithmetic on the entry plan. Compute comes to USD 55 and the port to USD 115. Two thirds of your bill is the protected connection, pas le serveur. That’s the honest shape of this product, and it’s why comparing it against a normal Hébergement VPS plan misses the point.

We assess how upfront DDoS-Guard is with the information a buyer needs.

• Documentation technique: Limité. The tutorial library is large and useful. But scrubbing locations are never listed, the PHP version contradicts itself, and the capacity figures can’t be verified.
• termes & Politiques: Pauvre. The SLA is a PDF of images, so its terms can’t be searched or quoted. The uptime figure is “up to 99.95%” in one place and 99.95% in another. There is no refund policy at all.
