One nuance. Dandomain rents the buildings rather than owning them. Its compliance document calls these firms suppliers of “the physical premises for our own data centre operations”. The servers are Dandomain’s; the halls are not. L'ISO 27001 certificate lists six Danish sites plus one in Oslo.

Here’s what to know before you buy. Dandomain’s marketing tells you not to worry about uptime: “you shouldn’t have to think about uptime, operations and stability. That’s what you pay us for.”

Its business terms say something different. We searched all 48,061 characters for an uptime figure and found none. Non “99.9%”, no percentage of any kind, and no SLA (un accord de niveau de service, meaning a guaranteed uptime commitment with compensation if it’s missed). Clause 10.4 says only that Dandomain “strives for” the systems to be available 24 heures par jour.

So there’s no contractual uptime promise and no compensation if your site goes down. The infrastructure may well be reliable. You just have no remedy in writing if it isn’t.

No independent speed benchmarks were available at the time of writing. The VPS page describes “dual 18-core Intel Xeon” processors but names no model or generation, so you can’t tell how old the hardware is.

The Number That Explains the Score

The prompted ones are short notes after a support call: “Super service as always”, “Friendly and competent customer service”. The unprompted ones are about billing and the product.

Reviewers mention that the phone gets answered, that the person speaks Danish, and that they aren’t transferred around. One five-star review from August 2026: “You’re always ready on the phone. Sensible, Danish-speaking and they ALWAYS know what they’re talking about.”

Plaintes courantes

Price increases on existing customers are the dominant theme. Nous avons scanné 160 une- and two-star reviews. 27 d'entre eux, about one in six, complain about price rises, and those complaints stretch from November 2013 to May 2026.

The cluster is recent. novembre 2025 was the worst single month in the scan, with six negative reviews, four of them about pricing. 2025 produced 28 une- and two-star reviews, the most of any year since 2017.

The specifics vary by product. One reviewer describes two mailboxes going from DKK 120 a year to DKK 1,050 sur cinq ans. Another reports a webshop rising DKK 400 un mois. A third describes a forced upgrade priced on an order count that included credit notes. These are customer accounts rather than figures we could verify, because web archives never captured Dandomain’s historical prices in readable form.

Dandomain has almost no Reddit footprint, and that’s not a red flag. Danish hosting discussion happens on Danish platforms, chiefly the business forum Amino and local comparison blogs. It’s a language market, not a silence.

Those Danish comparison sites match our own findings. They report that the entry package has no backup access, and that Dandomain costs three to four times what rival Danish hosts charge. Their conclusion is ours too: you pay more, and what you get for it is support.

Dandomain publishes its own support metrics through its website’s data feed. It claims a 4-minute response on support, 5 minutes on chat, et une équipe de 20.

So the 365-day claim describes an email queue, not a phone line. Premium customers get an extended weekday window of 07.00 à 19.00; Starter and Standard get 08.00 à 16.00.

When to Use Dandomain

Danish small businesses that need to phone someone: This is Dandomain’s real product. Phone support in Danish is included on the cheapest plan, and the review record shows customers rate it highly and consistently. If a broken website costs you a day of trading, that access is worth paying for.

Organisations with a Danish data residency requirement: Servers are in Denmark and the supplier list is published. The ISAE 3402 et ISO 27001 documents are downloadable. If your compliance officer needs paperwork, it exists and it’s current.

Single-site businesses that plan to stay put: One website per plan is a hard limit, but plenty of companies only ever need one. Si c'est toi, and you intend to stay for a decade, the renewal price is simply the price.

You want a contractual uptime guarantee: There’s no uptime figure anywhere in the business terms. If you need an SLA with service credits, get it in writing from someone else.

Dandomain Transparency Score

One disclosure gap is worth naming. Dandomain added Webnode GmbH of Switzerland to its subprocessor list on 20 Mars 2026, naming that Swiss firm as the supplier behind the website builder Dandomain sells as its own. So any review calling that builder Dandomain-built is out of date. The product page itself never mentions Webnode. Two details corroborate the disclosure: the page’s images load from a folder named “webnode”, and the free tier hands you an address ending in webbuilder.nu.

Alternatives to Dandomain

Before comparing, know this. Dandomain trades under company number 29412006, which belongs to team.blue Denmark A/S. That single company holds 41 registered trading names. Twenty-one of them are Danish hosting brands, including ScanNet, Wannafind, Curanet, Simply.com, Surftown, UnoEuro, Meebox, Danhost, Cloud.dk and Zitcom.

So switching between most familiar Danish hosting names doesn’t change the company you’re buying from. If your complaint is Dandomain’s pricing policy, a sibling brand may not fix it.

For Multiple Sites: A Mainstream Shared Host

Dandomain earns 3.7 hors de 5 de nous. That’s below its 4.7 Score Pilote de confiance, and it’s deliberate. It matches the 3.74 average from customers who went to Trustpilot unprompted rather than after a support call.

The support is as good as the reviews say. The infrastructure is Danish, and PwC’s audit of 2025 noted no exceptions across 26 contrôles. It’s also certified to ISO 27001, on a certificate re-issued on 20 avril 2026. Those are real strengths, and not every host has them.

Buy Dandomain if Danish phone support is worth a premium, and if you’re comfortable paying the renewal price rather than the advertised one. Avoid it if you’re comparing on cost, running several sites, or need a guarantee you can enforce.

Does Dandomain offer refunds?

Il n'y a pas de garantie de remboursement. Consumers get the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. But clause 5.1.1 ends that right the moment setup begins, and setup begins the moment you order. Clause 12.3.1 refuses refunds if you cancel mid-period. Domaines, Microsoft 365 licences and SSL certificates are excluded from the 14-day right entirely. The website builder does come with a real 14-day free trial, and it needs no card.

How does Dandomain handle backups?

Better than most hosts document, though not as generously as the plan cards suggest. The audited commitment in the ISAE 3402 report is 14 jours de rétention. Its recovery point objective is 24 heures, so up to a day of data could be lost. The plan cards advertise 30-day restore, but self-service restore starts at the Standard tier. Starter customers cannot restore files or email themselves. The audit report is blunt about the limits. It states: “We guarantee the integrity of our backup systems, but only the customer can test if their backup is valid.”
