Scriptsun, Ltd founded UltaHost in 2018, and the brand became a US company, UltaHost, Inc., dans 2021. The About page names the founders, Elin Doughouz (CEO) and Deen Doughouz (CTO). The contact page gives an address in Middletown, Delaware. Its terms add three more entities: UltaHost Dubai, UltaHost Istanbul and UltaHost Ltd UK.

UltaHost also runs its own network. Its Frankfurt shared server sits on AS214036, an autonomous system (a block of internet addresses a company routes itself) registered to Ultahost, Inc. Its New York server sits on a second network in the same name. At least in Frankfurt and New York, UltaHost routes its own addresses instead of renting them.

What UltaHost Sells

• Hébergement partagé: four plans run on cPanel, the dashboard most hosts use for managing site files, mailboxes and databases.

For a shared plan, the location list is shorter. The Europe tab in the checkout offers Frankfurt, Londres, Amsterdam, Madrid, Istanbul, Oslo, Warsaw and Zurich.

We measured network latency to three UltaHost shared servers on 30 septembre 2026, from home and mobile internet connections in ten countries. The targets were real cPanel servers: cp3 in Frankfurt, cp10 in New York and cp8 in Singapore. Each probe sent ten pings, and none were lost. This measures how quickly the network answers, not how fast a website loads.

The pattern is what geography predicts, and it shows why the location you pick at checkout matters. Frankfurt answers Western Europe in 12 à 22 SP. We didn’t measure UltaHost’s Sydney location, so Australian buyers should test it themselves.

That’s a Service Level Agreement: the part of a hosting contract that compensates you when a server stays down too long. They say the opposite: UltaHost has “no control over the uninterrupted and continuous availability” of its services. Both groups are real customers. Invitations usually go out after a support contact, so invited reviews tend to catch UltaHost at its best. People who write without an invitation mostly do it after something has broken. One caution on the unprompted group. Where It Goes Wrong

Migration outages. This dominated August and September 2026. Un critique sur 7 August wrote that UltaHost migrates servers so often “you have a downtime for days”. Sur 22 September another reported a “second extended downtime in less than a month”.

Sudden suspensions. Several buyers lost a domain or server shortly after paying. One on 27 August had a new domain suspended the next day. Sur 27 September another’s domain was terminated for “Fraude”, and support asked for a photo of them holding their ID.

Charges after cancelling. Sur 23 August a customer reported USD 220 taken for an account billed at USD 68. Two September reviewers say they were charged after turning off auto-renew or telling billing to stop.

Email landing in spam. Commentaires sur 10 et 24 September blame UltaHost’s server setup for sites ending up on the Spamhaus blocklist, a widely used list of spam sources. Remboursements refusés. Sur 31 July a buyer asked for a refund in the first week for a VM that didn’t work. UltaHost cited the non-refundable clause on discounted plans. That matches the written policy.

What Reddit Shows That Trustpilot Doesn’t

Reddit gives the one thing star ratings can’t: a dated, public record of how UltaHost behaves during an incident. Its staff answer there under an official account.

Le mois d'août 2026 outage is the clearest case. Sur 8 août, threads in r/webhosting and r/Hosting described day two of an outage on CP3, a shared server in Frankfurt, with no status updates. One customer confirmed service came back “après 4 journées”. Sur 17 August the official account admitted the CP3 migration “took significantly longer than the original 24-hour estimate”. It also admitted “our communication during the incident was not frequent or clear enough”.

UNE 7 September thread went further. A customer running an online store on UltaHost VDS and VPS servers described two years of crashes. Their server had shipped with two web servers, Apache and LiteSpeed, running at once. Soutien, ils disent, kept restoring infected backups during a malware incident. UltaHost replied publicly ten days later. The customer answered that UltaHost only showed interest once the complaint was public.

Weigh the positive Reddit posts carefully. UltaHost runs its own subreddit, r/UltaHostHub, created in December 2025, avec 55 les abonnés. Reviews describe a consistent gap. Chat answers fast. Tickets are slower, and the gap widens during incidents. During the August outage, one customer’s ticket drew only “we’re sorry, be patient, we have no estimated time to recovery”. The status page tells the same story in smaller form. A network problem on dedicated servers in Amsterdam on 17 septembre 2026 was first given a one-hour estimate. It took about 18 heures, and the estimate changed three times.

When to Use UltaHost

UltaHost pays off for buyers who stay put and choose their billing term on purpose.

Where It Fits

You need an unusual server: macOS, les fenêtres, Android emulator, radio and game servers all sell from one account. That breadth is hard to match at this price.

You hate renewal shocks: a two-year Starter plan bought at USD 82.59 showed a recurring total of USD 82.59 dans le chariot. Many budget hosts charge two to four times more at that point.

Most of UltaHost’s weak points are written into its terms. The rest surface during outages.

You’re buying a dedicated server to test it: there’s no refund window at all, and the entry model runs on DDR3 memory. Ask for the exact hardware before you pay.

Warning Signs to Weigh

UltaHost Plans and Pricing

UltaHost’s renewal pricing is honest in the checkout. We added SHARED Starter to the cart on the monthly, annuel, two-year and three-year terms. We read each order summary without entering any personal details. Chaque fois, “Total Recurring” matched the first bill, and the setup fee was USD 0.00. Prices below are as listed on UltaHost’s US dollar pages, with no tax line shown.

All prices are per month, and each renews at the same rate in the checkout. For Starter, the cart totals are USD 4.39 un mois, USD 48.39 une année, USD 82.59 for two years and USD 103.59 for three.

Here’s the real cost of a refund. Two years of Starter on annual billing costs USD 96.78, which you can still get back in the first 30 journées. • Free domain clawback: cancel within a year and UltaHost deducts USD 16.99 from your refund.

The prices are fair and the renewals are flat, which is worth real money over a few years. The presentation is the problem. A permanent sale, two different crossed-out prices and a default term with no refund all push buyers towards the choice that suits UltaHost. Buy annual, and you get almost all of the value with a refund window intact.

UltaHost Transparency Score

Two UltaHost documents are precise: the refund policy and the checkout. Much of the rest of the site contradicts itself.
