The rest were Space Engineers, PixArk, Dark and Light, Citadel, Miscreated, Rend, Outlaws of the Old West and Atlas. Atlas was already marked “Out Of stock”.

Look at that list closely. It’s a museum of 2015 à 2019 survival games. Minecraft, which they sold in 2016, had been dropped. ARCHE: Survie Élu, released on 25 octobre 2023, was never added.

Fifteen of the 109 reviews we read scored one or two stars, and they cluster tightly around three problems.

Reviewers describe it failing on the wrong port, and describe being locked out by automatic IP bans while trying to install mods. Advanced users found the control panel limiting. Complaints name missing configuration file import and export, a thin settings page, and no explanation of what each setting did. One December 2021 reviewer went further and called the panel “unsecured”, though no detail was given and we can’t verify that.

There’s a pattern in the timing. The one and two-star share was 14% of reviews in 2020, then jumped to 26% dans 2021, before the review flow dried up. Whatever went wrong at ActiveGameHost, 2021 is where it starts showing in the data.

ActiveGameHost’s community footprint is thin, and most of it was written by the company. Posts in r/ARK_pc and r/playrustservers are self-promotion, written in the first person plural. We found no LowEndTalk discussion at all.

There Is No Current Use Case

There’s no scenario in 2026 where ActiveGameHost is the right answer. The order forms are gone, the client area returns a 404 Erreur, and no billing or control panel subdomain resolves. Nobody can take your payment and nobody will answer a ticket.

If You Were a Customer

Red Flags Worth Recognising
