Resposta curta: don’t buy, because there’s nothing left to buy. ActiveGameHost stopped trading, and the domain that once sold ARK server hosting now runs an Indonesian-language blog padded with gambling links. Its security certificate expired on 22 Junho 2026 and nobody renewed it.
This review covers what ActiveGameHost was, what customers said, and how we know it’s gone. Our sources are the full set of 111 avaliações, archived copies of the company’s own pages, and live checks on its domain and certificate. Unlike the affiliate pages still ranking for this name, we checked whether you can hand over money today. Você não pode.
Avaliação geral: ActiveGameHost holds 4.6/5 através 111 avaliações, com 71% em cinco estrelas e 10% at one star. Nenhuma dessas resenhas foi escrita depois 29 novembro 2023. Customers praised fast, friendly support and cheap ARK servers. The recurring complaints were broken file transfers, a weak control panel, and refunds that never arrived.
Contexto histórico: ActiveGameHost’s last customer review arrived on 29 novembro 2023, and by 20 abril 2024 its website served only cPanel’s “unconfigured domain” placeholder. Qualquer 2026 review quoting ActiveGameHost’s plans describes a company that stopped taking orders over two years ago.

Recursos e serviços
ActiveGameHost sold game servers from 2016 until late 2023, and never stopped being an ARK specialist. Everything below is recovered from archived copies of its own pages, because the live ones are gone.
Tipos de hospedagem oferecidos
- Hospedagem de servidor de jogos – the core product, sold per slot (one slot is one player connection)
- Cluster hosting – linked ARK servers, letting players carry characters and items between maps
- Hospedagem na Web – a small side line, buried in the billing cart
- VPS e servidores dedicados – advertised in 2016, quietly dropped by 2023
By March 2023 the catalogue held 14 jogos. Survival titles led: ARCA: Sobrevivência Evoluída, Valheim, Ferrugem, 7 Dias para morrer, Conan Exiles and DayZ. The rest were Space Engineers, PixArk, Dark and Light, Citadel, Miscreated, Rend, Outlaws of the Old West and Atlas. Atlas was already marked “Out Of stock”.
Look at that list closely. It’s a museum of 2015 para 2019 survival games. Minecraft, which they sold in 2016, had been dropped. ARCA: Sobrevivência Ascensionada, released on 25 Outubro 2023, was never added.
Principais recursos destacados pelos clientes
- One-click mod installs – paste a mod ID, press a button. Reviewers mentioned this more than any other feature.
- Backups gratuitos a cada 12 horas – stored off the game server, sem nenhum custo, em cada plano.
- Settings help at no cost – staff would configure mods for you, which mattered to first-time admins.
- Um teste gratuito de 24 horas – your server was built before payment. You ignored the invoice until you were happy.
- Proteção DDoS – incluído, covering distributed denial of service attacks that flood a server with junk traffic.
Underneath sat TCAdmin v2, a widely used game server panel. ActiveGameHost had bolted its own configuration editor, mod installer and rollback tools onto it.
Locais de data centers
Five sites, all in North America: Dobrar (Oregon), Dallas (Texas), Lenoir/Charlotte (Carolina do Norte), Latham (Nova york), e Montreal (Canadá). Nothing in Europe, Ásia, Oceania or South America.
That’s a real limit, não é uma nota de rodapé. A player in Berlin connecting to Dallas eats roughly 120 para 150 milliseconds of round-trip latency before the game does any work. In melee combat, that’s the difference between landing a hit and watching it whiff.
Expectativas de desempenho
No independent benchmark data exists for ActiveGameHost. No third party published speed or uptime measurements, and the company published none itself.
What we can check is what they claimed. Their About page carried three uptime figures at once: uma “100% network up-time guarantee”, “99.99% network up time”, e “sobre 99% tempo de atividade”. Those aren’t rounding differences. The gap between 100% e “over 99%” is up to three and a half days of downtime a year.
Hardware was described only in ranges: 64GB to 320GB of RAM, e 8 to 40-plus CPU cores. You couldn’t tell which you’d land on.
Experiência do cliente
111 avaliações, pontuação 4.6/5. The distribution is 71% cinco estrelas, 12% quatro estrelas, 3% três estrelas, 4% duas estrelas e 10% uma estrela. That’s a polarised shape: most people were happy, and a hard tenth had a bad time.
Two caveats matter more than the average. Primeiro, every review we captured came through Trustpilot’s invitation flow, meaning the company asked for it. There’s no organic pool to compare against. Segundo, the reviews stop dead. Here’s the count by year:
- 2018: 1 Reveja
- 2019: 17 avaliações
- 2020: 49 avaliações
- 2021: 23 avaliações
- 2022: 11 avaliações
- 2023: 8 avaliações
- 2024, 2025, 2026: none at all
Trustpilot’s own profile data confirms it: zero reviews in the last 12 meses, and the company is no longer collecting them.
O que os clientes elogiam
Support speed dominates the positive reviews. A frase “never too busy” recurs, and several customers mention help late at night. Um 2023 reviewer had a server running in under five minutes.
Price against performance comes second. Customers running ARK and 7 Days to Die servers describe stable, lag-free play for the money. UMA 2020 o revisor colocou isso claramente: servers were “stable and lag free” apart from occasional spikes.
Terceiro, and this is what made the host memorable, staff would join your game server to fix things in person. Multiple customers describe seeing an “ActiveHost Rep” appear in their world to sort out a setting. How many hosts do that? Not many, and none of the large ones.
Reclamações Comuns
Fifteen of the 109 reviews we read scored one or two stars, and they cluster tightly around three problems.
File transfers broke, repetidamente. FTP is File Transfer Protocol, the standard way to upload mod files to a server. Reviewers describe it failing on the wrong port, and describe being locked out by automatic IP bans while trying to install mods. Um 2021 customer wrote that installing mods was “imposible with it banning the ip”.
Advanced users found the control panel limiting. Complaints name missing configuration file import and export, a thin settings page, and no explanation of what each setting did. One December 2021 reviewer went further and called the panel “unsecured”, though no detail was given and we can’t verify that.
Billing and refunds went wrong. Um dezembro 2021 customer had their service cancelled immediately and still hadn’t received a refund when they wrote. Um fevereiro 2022 customer had their account disabled over PayPal automatic payments. They’d been told to arrange those outside the company’s own site.
There’s a pattern in the timing. The one and two-star share was 14% of reviews in 2020, then jumped to 26% no 2021, before the review flow dried up. Whatever went wrong at ActiveGameHost, 2021 is where it starts showing in the data.
Feedback da comunidade (Reddit & Fóruns)
ActiveGameHost’s community footprint is thin, and most of it was written by the company. Posts in r/ARK_pc and r/playrustservers are self-promotion, written in the first person plural. We found no LowEndTalk discussion at all.
One genuine thread survives, de 2016 in r/ARK, and it’s revealing. A user asked whether anyone had used ActiveGameHost. The replies are warm: Apoio, suporte “incrivelmente bom”, por aí 30 milliseconds of ping, servers that never dropped, and staff logging into customer worlds to help.
Duas coisas se destacam. One commenter was blunt about the price: “seems to cheap to be good”. The other is a moment of accidental honesty. Accused of working for the company, a heavy promoter replied that he’d “gotten to know one of the reps pretty good. So your instincts aren’t terrible lol”. The enthusiasm in those early threads wasn’t entirely arm’s length.
After roughly 2019, community discussion stops. For a host that ran until 2023, that silence is its own signal.
Qualidade de suporte
Support was this company’s best feature and its worst, depending on which game you played. ARK customers rated it highly. Customers on other titles did not.
A September 2021 Conan Exiles customer wrote that the team had “no real support or understanding” of the game. They were ignored for over five days. UMA 7 Days to Die customer found the world generator broken in both random and pre-built modes. Um agosto 2020 reviewer asked for help and was told to figure it out themselves.
In public, they almost never answered. Entre 109 avaliações, we found a single reply from ActiveGameHost.
When to Use ActiveGameHost
There Is No Current Use Case
There’s no scenario in 2026 where ActiveGameHost is the right answer. The order forms are gone, the client area returns a 404 erro, and no billing or control panel subdomain resolves. Nobody can take your payment and nobody will answer a ticket.

If You Were a Customer
Check two things. Primeiro, cancel any recurring PayPal or card authorisation at your bank rather than on their site, because their site can’t cancel anything now.
Segundo, if you registered a domain through them, Mova isso. Carry that lesson to your next host: keep your registrar separate from your hosting company. A lost server is an annoyance. A lost domain is permanent.
When NOT to Use ActiveGameHost
A resposta honesta é “sempre, agora”. But the reasons it failed are worth naming, because they’re the questions to ask the host you pick next.
Procure em outro lugar se
You play ARK: Sobrevivência Ascensionada: ActiveGameHost never supported it. The remaster launched on 25 Outubro 2023, weeks after the original game’s official servers closed on 30 setembro 2023. An ARK specialist that didn’t follow its own game to its successor had a narrow future. That’s the sequence, not a proven cause, but the last review arrived a month after Ascended shipped.
Your players aren’t in North America: five locations, all US and Canada. Latency from Europe or Asia was never going to be competitive.
You want a meaningful trial window: the money-back guarantee ran three days. The 24-hour free trial softened that, but three days is thin if a problem surfaces in week two.
Red Flags Worth Recognising
- Contradictory uptime claims: a host quoting 100%, 99.99% e “over 99%” on one page hasn’t measured any of them.
- A frozen news feed: de 2023, the newest announcement was from February 2020. Three years of silence on a live site is a decay signal you can check in seconds.
- A catalogue of dead games: Rend, Miscreated and Citadel had lost their players years before 2023, yet all three stayed on the menu.
- Unsourced statistics: “People choose us over the other guys statistically 8 times out of 10” appeared with no source, sample or date.
ActiveGameHost Transparency Score
We assess how upfront ActiveGameHost was, using its own archived pages.
- Informações da Empresa: Pobre. No headquarters address, no phone number and no named leadership on the site. Trustpilot’s contact record holds an empty address, empty phone and empty email.
- Transparência de preços: Boa. The ARK price was on the page, the coupon’s one-month limit was stated, and cluster exclusions were spelled out. Other games hid their pricing behind the cart.
- Documentação Técnica: Limitado. Hardware given only as broad ranges. No named CPU models, no network capacity figures, no status page.
- Termos & Políticas: Limitado. The 3-day refund window was clear. The uptime commitment contradicted itself three ways on one page. That leaves no usable service level agreement, meaning no guaranteed uptime figure you could hold them to.
Transparência geral: misturado, and worse than it looked. Pricing was refreshingly plain for a game host. Everything about who ran the company, on what hardware, under what guarantee, was vague. When the company disappeared, that vagueness is exactly why customers had nowhere to turn.
Alternatives to ActiveGameHost
All three below were verified as trading on 19 agosto 2026.
For ARK Players Who Need Survival Ascended: PingPerfect
PingPerfect lists both ARK: Survival Ascended and Survival Evolved, which closes ActiveGameHost’s biggest gap. It advertises close to 300 games and data centres across six continents, so European and Asian players get a local option. That directly answers the North America-only limit.
For a Broad Survival Catalogue: Host Havoc
Listas de hospedagem Havoc 121 jogos, including ARK: Sobrevivência Evoluída, Conan exilados, 7 Days to Die and DayZ, alongside current titles like Enshrouded and Abiotic Factor. Be aware its money-back guarantee is also three days, so it doesn’t fix that particular complaint. It does sell web hosting and servidores dedicados também, if you outgrow a rented slot.
For Budget Servers: ScalaCubeGenericName
ScalaCube carries ARK: Survival Evolved and runs a free Minecraft tier you can test without paying. If Minecraft is your actual target, nosso Guia de hospedagem de servidor Minecraft compares the options properly.
O que você escolher, check the attack protection first, since game servers get hit far more often than websites do. Nosso guia para hosting with DDoS protection covers what’s worth paying for.

ActiveGameHost earned a 4.6/5 de 111 customers and then vanished without telling any of them.
O resultado final
The rating is real, and it’s also a fossil. Every one of those 111 reviews predates 29 novembro 2023. Seventy-one percent are five-star, and every single one arrived through an invitation the company sent. The service they describe was cheap, friendly and hands-on, run by people who clearly played ARK themselves. None of it is available now.
Treat any 2026 page presenting ActiveGameHost as a live option, ours included until today, as proof the page wasn’t checked. Its certificate expired on 22 Junho 2026, its former URLs return 404 erros, and its domain now points visitors at gambling sites. perguntas frequentes
Is ActiveGameHost still in business?
Não. Its website stopped serving hosting pages between November 2023 e abril 2024. Today activegamehost.com hosts an unrelated Indonesian blog. The billing area and control panel are gone, and no support channel answers.
Why does ActiveGameHost still show a 4.6 Avaliação?
Because review platforms don’t retire scores when a company closes. Tudo 111 reviews were written between September 2018 e novembro 2023. Trustpilot records zero reviews in the past 12 meses. The score describes a service that no longer runs.
What happened to the activegamehost.com website?
It changed hands. Registered in February 2016, the domain never lapsed, so it was transferred rather than lost at auction. Em março 2024 it briefly redirected to a parking page. By April 2024 it showed cPanel’s default “unconfigured domain” tela. Since May 2024 it has run an Indonesian WordPress blog carrying 23 outbound links to gambling sites.
What did ActiveGameHost cost?
An ARK server was USD 12.00 um mês para 25 slots, ou dólares americanos 0.48 por slot. A two-server cluster was USD 21.60 um mês. UMA 20% coupon applied to the first month only and never to clusters. Notavelmente, aquele dólar 12.00 headline was unchanged from 2016 para 2023.
Did ActiveGameHost offer refunds?
It advertised a 3-day “sem perguntas” garantia de devolução de dinheiro, plus a 24-hour free trial where your server was built before you paid. Delivery didn’t always match. At least one customer reported never receiving a refund after their service was cancelled.
What did customers complain about most?
Três coisas. File transfers failed or triggered automatic IP bans that blocked mod installs. The control panel lacked configuration file import and export and explained little. Billing problems, including missing refunds and a disabled account over PayPal settings, surfaced repeatedly. Support was excellent for ARK and noticeably weaker for other games.
