Resposta curta: don’t buy hosting from WebUp Hosting. You can’t. Their website has been a parked domain since mid-2024, and the last customer review landed in June 2024. There’s no working sign-up, sem painel de controle, no support channel. This review exists to tell you that, and to help you if your domain is still trapped there.
That verdict comes from live checks of WebUp’s domain and DNS records, and web archive snapshots back to 2022. Unlike the affiliate pages still ranking for this host, we won’t hand you a price list for a company that can’t take your money. Several competing sites publish “Review 2026” pages for WebUp with bookable plans. One even claims a reviewer spent six months testing the service. We checked instead.
Avaliação geral: WebUp Hosting scores 2.9 fora de 5 através 214 avaliações. It hasn’t had a single new review in over two years. The complaints that ended its run are consistent and serious. Support tickets went unanswered, backups stopped working, and customers lost domains they’d registered through the company. Best suited for nobody. If you’re a former customer, skip to the recovery steps below.

Recursos e serviços
WebUp Hosting was a Spanish provider based in Logroño, in the La Rioja region. It sold shared hosting, Hospedagem WordPress, VPS, servidores dedicados, e domínios, and it ran its machines out of Munich, Alemanha. The Trustpilot profile was claimed in January 2018, and the earliest positive reviews date from 2019.
Past tense is doing a lot of work in that paragraph. Here’s what the service looks like today.
What’s Actually Left
We ran live checks on webuphosting.com on 14 Julho 2026. The results aren’t ambiguous:
- The website is a parking page. The domain serves a 114-byte stub that bounces visitors to a generic “lander” página. That’s the standard placeholder a registrar shows for a domain nobody is using.
- There’s no control panel and no client area. We checked the addresses a host would need, including cpanel, Correio eletrónico, faturamento, and soporte. Every one of them points at the same parking page.
- The company can’t receive email. WebUp’s domain has no MX records at all. An MX record is the DNS entry that tells the internet where to deliver a domain’s mail. Sem um, every message sent to an @webuphosting.com address bounces. That’s why customers reported writing and getting nothing back.
A hosting company that cannot receive email is not a hosting company. It’s a domain name.
Locais de data centers
While it operated, WebUp advertised servers in Munich, Alemanha, and offered Spanish IP addresses on its VPS range. For a Spanish audience, a German data center is a reasonable choice. Latência (the delay before a server responds) from Madrid to Munich is low enough that most visitors would never notice. None of that matters now, because there are no servers to connect to.
Expectativas de desempenho
There’s no independent benchmark data for WebUp Hosting, and no honest way to produce any. You can’t measure the speed of a service that doesn’t run. Any site publishing WebUp load times or uptime percentages in 2026 is either recycling old numbers or making them up.
Experiência do cliente
UMA 2.9 fora de 5 classificação em 214 avaliações. That’s where WebUp Hosting finished. But the rating distribution is where this gets interesting, and it’s the single most useful thing in this article.
o 77% Paradox
Look at how those 214 reviews break down:
- 5 estrelas: 77%
- 4 estrelas: 9%
- 3 estrelas: 2%
- 2 estrelas: 1%
- 1 Estrela: 11%
Now ask the obvious question. How does a company with 77% five-star reviews score 2.9 fora de 5?
It isn’t a contradiction. It’s a timeline. Trustpilot weights recent reviews more heavily than old ones, so a score can collapse while the raw percentages still look glowing. WebUp’s praise is almost entirely from 2019 cedo 2022, when the service worked. Nearly everything after that is a one-star review from someone who couldn’t reach support.
This is exactly why review aggregate scores mislead you. A simple average of WebUp’s stars comes out above 4, which is roughly what several sites still display. The time-weighted score tells the truth: 2.9, and falling off a cliff.
What Customers Praised
The positive reviews were real, and they’re worth taking seriously. Through 2019 para 2021, customers consistently described WebUp as good value, cheaper than the Spanish competition, with support that actually replied. One reviewer in early 2021 noted that technical tickets were answered in under an hour. Outro, tarde 2022, was helped through a purchase on a Sunday.
Customers liked the feature set too: cPanel, MariaDB, PHP, Pitão, FTP, o email, e subdomínios, all at a low price. For small Spanish sites, it was a sensible pick. That’s what makes the ending sting.
Reclamações Comuns, With Dates
The collapse is documented review by review. The dates matter, so here they are:
- dezembro 2022: “They don’t answer emails. They don’t answer support tickets. The backup system doesn’t work.” That customer was migrating everything out in a hurry, afraid of losing it all overnight.
- janeiro 2023: “I think they’ve closed and they don’t respond or do anything. I think we should all report them together.”
- fevereiro 2023: A multi-year customer found their domain renewal had vanished from their account. A month of attempts by email, telefone, and Twitter produced no reply.
- marcha 2023: “They’ve closed. My domain was registered with them. I can’t get them to answer, or to give me my money back.”
- Junho 2023: A one-star review titled simply “ESTAFA” (fraude): “They don’t respond and I can’t move my domains.”
- Junho 2024: The final review ever left for WebUp Hosting. “The first year everything was fine. The second year they deleted the host and I was left with just the domain. The third year they disappeared, and with that I lost my domain.”
Then nothing. Silence for over two years, because there was nobody left to complain about.
Feedback da comunidade (Reddit e fóruns)
We searched Reddit, LowEndTalk, and the Spanish hosting forums for WebUp discussion. We found essentially nothing, and that absence is itself a finding. WebUp was small and regional, so it never built the community footprint that a Hostinger or an OVH has. The review platform was the only public record its customers had.
One review from December 2022 explains why even that record is incomplete, and it’s the most quietly damning thing we read. The customer gave three stars and wrote that you can’t safely leave an opinion while you still have services with the company. You have to leave first, to avoid possible reprisals. Read that alongside the 77% five-star figure, and the glowing scores look a little different.
Qualidade de suporte
Support was WebUp’s best feature, then its worst. Early reviews praise sub-hour ticket responses and a real phone line. From late 2022, the same channels went dead: bilhetes, o email, telefone, Twitter, Instagram. Customers tried all of them. Today the support story is simple. There is no support, and with no MX records on the domain, there is no way to contact the company at all.
When to Use WebUp Hosting
Nunca. There is no scenario, no use case, and no type of user for whom WebUp Hosting is an option in 2026. The company isn’t taking customers because the company isn’t there.
Normally this section weighs trade-offs. There are none to weigh. Did you arrive here from a comparison page or an old blog post recommending WebUp? That page is out of date. Treat everything else on it with suspicion.
If Your Domain or Site Is Still Stuck With WebUp
Here’s the one group this article can actually help. If you registered a domain through WebUp Hosting and can’t get into your account, don’t give up on the name. Try this order:
- Run a WHOIS lookup on your domain. WHOIS is the public record of who a domain is registered with. It will name the registrar currently holding it, which may not be WebUp at all. Contact that registrar directly.
- Check the expiry date in that same record. If the domain has already lapsed, you may simply be able to re-register it. Many abandoned domains fall back into the open pool.
- Ask the registrar for an auth code, not WebUp. An auth code (sometimes called an EPP code) is the password that lets you transfer a domain elsewhere. The registrar of record can issue it. A reseller that has vanished cannot.
- Rebuild from your own backups, not theirs. Reviewers reported WebUp’s backup system failing as early as December 2022. Assume nothing on their side survived.
If the name is gone for good, nosso guia para registering a domain cheaply covers registrars that let you hold it yourself. That’s the point of the next section.
When NOT to Use WebUp Hosting
Sempre. But the more useful question is how you avoid the next WebUp, because there will be one. Small hosts fail, and they rarely announce it. They just stop replying.
The Mistake That Cost WebUp Customers Their Domains
Read the complaints again and one pattern runs through all of them. The worst-hit customers had bought their domínio e deles hospedagem from the same small company. When that company evaporated, both went at once. The website they could rebuild. The domain name, which was their identity and their email, they couldn’t.
Keep your domain at a large, dedicated registrar and point it at whichever host you like. Then a host failure costs you a weekend of migration instead of your brand. It’s the cheapest insurance in hosting, and almost nobody buys it until after they’ve needed it.
Red Flags That Showed Up Before the Collapse
WebUp’s customers had roughly six months of warning. The signals were there, and they generalise:
- Support latency creeping up. Ticket replies went from under an hour to never. A host whose response times are quietly sliding is a host in trouble.
- Backups failing without explanation. Flagged in December 2022, well before the site went dark. Broken infrastructure that nobody fixes means nobody is minding the store.
- Customers who feel they can’t complain. If people are afraid to leave an honest review while they’re still customers, the reviews you’re reading aren’t the full picture.
- A rating that’s sinking while the star percentages look fine. Always check the dates on the good reviews. If the praise is three years old, so is the good service.
WebUp Hosting Transparency Score
How upfront was WebUp with the information that mattered? Its score here is unusual, because the company never really lied. It just stopped existing without telling anyone.
- Informações da Empresa: Limitado. While trading, WebUp identified itself as a Spanish company in Logroño with a published phone number, which is more than many budget hosts manage. But it never announced a closure, never emailed customers, and never posted a notice. Customers worked out it had closed by watching their tickets go unanswered.
- Transparência de preços: Boa, historicamente. Prices were listed plainly, with no renewal shock, which is the trap most budget hosts set. Today the rating is meaningless. There is no pricing.
- Documentação Técnica: Limitado. Basic specs were published. No uptime SLA (a Service Level Agreement, the contractual uptime a host commits to) was ever clearly stated.
- Termos e Políticas: Pobre, No final. Refund requests went unanswered. Domain transfers were blocked by silence rather than policy. A term you can’t enforce against a company that won’t reply isn’t a term at all.
Transparência geral: Pobre. The worst kind of failure isn’t a host that hides its renewal prices. It’s a host that takes your renewal, keeps your domain, and stops answering the phone. WebUp exited without a word to the people paying it.
Alternatives to WebUp Hosting
If you came looking for WebUp, you probably wanted affordable Spanish or EU hosting with support in Spanish. That market is healthy. These providers are live, and we checked that they’re still trading before recommending them.
For a Direct Spanish Replacement: Raiola Networks
Spanish-run, with a data center in Madrid and support in Spanish. It runs LiteSpeed (a web server that handles busy sites more efficiently than the older Apache). O armazenamento é NVMe, the fastest common type of solid-state drive. It costs more than WebUp did. That’s rather the point. See where it lands in our best Spain web hosting guide.
For WordPress Sites: Webempresa
Another established Spanish host, focused on WordPress, with a reputation built on hands-on support in Spanish. A sensible landing spot if WebUp was running your WordPress site. Nosso managed WordPress hosting in Spain guide compares the current options.
For Cheap VPS in Germany: netcup or Hetzner
WebUp’s servers sat in Munich, so German infrastructure clearly worked for you. Both netcup and Hetzner are long-established German providers with budget VPS ranges. Both are also large enough that they won’t quietly vanish. Compare them in our Guia de hospedagem web na Alemanha.
Chasing that low VPS price specifically? Both run ranges that start near what WebUp charged, without the disappearing act.

WebUp Hosting Plans and Pricing
⚠️ Warning: The prices below are historical. They are not offers. You cannot buy any of them, and any site presenting them as current pricing is wrong. We’re including them only so you can recognise the figures if you see them republished elsewhere as if they were live.
These come from the last real captures of WebUp’s own website, taken in mid-2023 before the site went dark. All figures are in euros per month.
Shared and WordPress Hosting (a partir de 2023)
Hospedagem Compartilhada: from EUR 4.00/mo. Hospedagem WordPress: EUR 4.00/mo entry, EUR 7.00/mo for the Estándar tier, EUR 15.00/mo for Profesional.
Hospedagem VPS (a partir de 2023)
Six KVM tiers, running from EUR 2.00/mo at the bottom to EUR 55.99/mo at the top. KVM is a virtualisation type that gives each customer a genuinely separate slice of the server rather than a shared pool.
Servidores dedicados (a partir de 2023)
Entry dedicated machines started at EUR 45.00/mo on a 1 Porta Gbps, rising to EUR 220.00/mo. UMA 10 Gbps range ran from EUR 100.00/mo to EUR 350.00/mo.
The Real Cost, and Who Paid It
Here’s the part the old price lists leave out. The customers who lost the most weren’t the ones paying EUR 55.99 a month for a VPS. They were the ones who had registered a domain through WebUp. When the company stopped answering, those domains became unreachable, and several reviewers describe losing them outright.
So the honest pricing verdict is this: WebUp was cheap, and for a few years customers thought it was good value. The final bill arrived later, and it was paid in lost domains and rushed migrations.

This one’s finished. WebUp’s site is a parking page, its mail server doesn’t exist, and its last review is two years old. o 2.9 fora de 5 it carries across 214 reviews is the score of a company that was good, then wasn’t, then wasn’t there.
O resultado final
Don’t try to buy hosting from WebUp Hosting. There’s nothing to buy. Former customers still chasing a domain should run a WHOIS lookup and find the registrar of record. Deal with them directly, not with a company that can’t read its own email.
And take the lesson, because it’s the valuable part. WebUp’s customers didn’t get burned by a bad server. They got burned by keeping domain and hosting under one small roof. They also trusted an average star rating that was three years stale. Check the dates on the praise. Split your domain from your host.

perguntas frequentes
Is WebUp Hosting still in business?
Não. As of July 2026, webuphosting.com is a parked domain. There’s no website, no client area, and no MX records, so the company can’t even receive email. The last real version of the site was archived in December 2023. It had become a parking page by July 2024.
Why does WebUp Hosting have a 2.9 rating if 77% das avaliações são 5 estrelas?
Because review scores are weighted by date. The five-star reviews are mostly from 2019 para 2021, when the service worked well. Since late 2022, almost every review has been one star. The score reflects the recent reality, while the raw percentages still reflect the good years.
What happened to WebUp Hosting?
It appears to have been abandoned rather than formally wound up. Support stopped answering tickets around late 2022. Customers were publicly asking whether it had closed by January 2023. The website itself stayed up until roughly the end of 2023, then went dark. No closure announcement was ever made to customers.
I still have a domain registered with WebUp Hosting. Can I get it back?
Possivelmente. Start with a WHOIS lookup on your domain to find which registrar actually holds it, since that’s often a larger company rather than WebUp itself. Contact that registrar directly and ask about regaining access or an auth code. If the domain has expired, you may be able to simply re-register it.
Are the WebUp Hosting prices I see on other sites real?
Não. Several review and comparison sites still publish WebUp price lists, some under 2026 manchetes. At least one claims a reviewer tested the service for six months. Those pages haven’t been checked against reality. You cannot buy any plan at any price from WebUp Hosting.
What’s the best alternative to WebUp Hosting?
For Spanish hosting with Spanish support, Raiola Networks and Webempresa are the established replacements. For cheap VPS on German hardware, which is what WebUp actually ran, look at netcup or Hetzner. O que você escolher, register your domain somewhere separate from your host.
