TMDHosting has run since 2007 and sells fully managed hosting only. There’s no unmanaged tier. Everything uses cPanel (o painel de controle de hospedagem padrão da indústria) except the Windows plans, which use Plesk.

Backups are the gap. The entry Starter plan lists “No Backups” in its own feature table. They start on the Business tier, às 30 stored copies. The terms treat offsite backup as a paid recurring service. Buy the cheapest plan expecting nightly backups and you won’t get them.

Only three appear on both lists. You can’t buy Chicago, Amsterdam or Tokyo. Five locations you can buy are missing from the page meant to describe them. Choosing on latency to your audience? Check the cart, not the marketing page.

A May 2025 reviewer of seven years wrote that support went from near-instant to unresponsive “since their merger with World Host Group in late 2024”. Others describe simple issues taking over 24 hours and every ticket needing escalation.

Product labelling is third. A November 2025 reviewer said the dedicated server they’d bought was a virtual machine, não hardware físico. They’d overpaid for years with no clear way to tell.

Complaint volume is rising. Do 127 one-star reviews we catalogued, 22 were posted in the first seven months of 2026. That’s more than any full year before it, contra 17 no 2025 e 14 no 2024.

The poster had deliberately left another World Host Group brand, picked TMDHosting believing it independent, then found the connection. Their complaint: cancelling inside the 30-day window only offered end-of-term cancellation, forcing a billing ticket. Commenters replied that contacting billing is normal at most hosts. Both points seem fair.

The most uncomfortable item is an April 2026 review alleging a free month was offered for a positive review. We can’t verify that. A relic remains: the shared hosting page still bills itself as “as low as $2.99/mo”, text last updated in 2023. Every price below came from the live billing system in July 2026.
