respuesta corta: TMDHosting es un host con soporte, una base leal y un precio que silenciosamente se triplicó. El plan de entrada de USD 2,99/mes que la mayoría de las reseñas aún citan ya no existe. A partir de julio 2026, the cheapest route in is USD 9.52/mo on three years, or USD 11.90/mo monthly.
Este análisis se basa en 1,655 reviews from the largest review platform and 648 from a hosting aggregator. We pulled current prices from TMDHosting’s live billing system and read the candid threads on Reddit and hosting forums. A diferencia de las reseñas con muchos afiliados, we show what the checkout charges, not the figure in the provider’s page description. We also cover an ownership change TMDHosting has never announced.
Evaluación general: TMDHosting scores 4.8/5 a través de 1,655 comentarios, con 89.9% cinco estrellas y 6.8% una estrella. Strengths are fast support and flat pricing with no renewal shock. Complaints centre on a December 2024 aumento de precio, slower support since the ownership change, and vague product labelling. Best for non-technical owners of small sites who want a human to fix things.
Nota: TMDHosting raised prices across every plan in December 2024 and moved its billing to a new platform. Reseñas escritas antes 2025 describe a different company at a different price.

Atención al cliente
Características y servicios
TMDHosting has run since 2007 and sells fully managed hosting only. There’s no unmanaged tier. Everything uses cPanel (el panel de control de alojamiento estándar de la industria) except the Windows plans, which use Plesk.
Tipos de hosting ofrecidos
- Hosting Compartido (Linux y Windows) – three tiers, entry level to unlimited storage
- Cloud Hosting – sold on its own page, though the products are identical to the shared plans
- WordPress and WooCommerce Hosting – shared plans with the cPanel WordPress toolkit added
- Alojamiento VPS (Linux y Windows) – eight managed sizes, 4GB to 256GB RAM
- Dedicated Servers – four tiers, totalmente gestionado
Here’s an oddity. The Cloud Hosting and Shared Hosting pages sell the same three products at the same prices. We checked the product IDs behind each buy button and they match exactly. “Nube” is a label, not a different platform.
Características clave Los clientes destacan
- LiteSpeed web server – serves pages faster than standard Apache under traffic, on every shared plan
- CloudLinux – isolates each account’s resources so a busy neighbour can’t starve your site
- CPanel gratuito, Certificados SSL, Cloudflare CDN and Softaculous one-click installers
- Transferencia de sitio web gratuita, which reviews mention more than any feature except support
Backups are the gap. The entry Starter plan lists “No Backups” in its own feature table. They start on the Business tier, a 30 stored copies. The terms treat offsite backup as a paid recurring service. Buy the cheapest plan expecting nightly backups and you won’t get them.
Ubicaciones del centro de datos
This is where the published information falls apart. The Data Centers page lists six sites: Chicago, Londres, Amsterdam, Singapur, Sídney y Tokio. The checkout offers eight: Londres, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Singapur, Sydney, Dallas, Toronto and Mexico.
Only three appear on both lists. You can’t buy Chicago, Amsterdam or Tokyo. Five locations you can buy are missing from the page meant to describe them. Choosing on latency to your audience? Check the cart, not the marketing page.
Expectativas de desempeño
Advertised uptime is 99.9% en planes compartidos y dedicados, 99.99% en VPS. We found no independent benchmark publishing uptime or TTFB figures (Tiempo al primer byte, qué tan rápido un servidor comienza a responder). One aggregator scores the host 78.52% without showing its measurements.
Contract terms tell a narrower story. The Service Level Agreement (un compromiso contractual de tiempo de actividad) pays out only above 0.1% annual downtime, Cuál es el 99.9% cifra. no hay 99.99% tier in the contract, so the VPS number has nothing behind it. Claiming also requires 12 months of tenure.
Experiencia del cliente
The numbers are strong and unusually polarised. Al otro lado de 1,655 reviews the host holds 4.8/5: 89.9% cinco estrellas, 2.1% cuatro estrellas, 0.2% tres estrellas, 1.0% dos estrellas y 6.8% una estrella. A second aggregator, utilizando 648 independent ratings, lands within a point of that shape at 9.2/10.
Look at the middle of that distribution. Three reviews out of 1,655 gave three stars. People either love this host or they’re furious with it. Almost nobody sits between. That pattern usually means two different things are being measured.
Lo que los clientes elogian
El apoyo domina, y no esta cerca. Recent five-star titles read like a support log: “Problem was solved quickly”, “fixed the issue fast”, “Best Support Team ever”. Reviewers describe tickets answered in minutes and staff who finish the fix rather than sending links.
Tenure is the second theme. Five-star reviews routinely open with how long the writer has stayed: five and a half years, seis años, over a decade. For a shared host, that’s a real signal.
Managed service is third. Customers who call themselves non-technical repeatedly say TMDHosting handled migrations, installs and server-side fixes they couldn’t do alone.
Quejas comunes
That December 2024 price rise is the loudest. Every plan went up 17% a 22%, applied at each customer’s next renewal. Legacy customers took the hardest hit: one older three-year plan went from USD 178.20 a USD 392.40, arriba 120%. Domain renewals rose 25% a 33%.
One reviewer complained in June 2025 of being billed USD 27.90 against an advertised USD 23.90. We can confirm the mechanism. Dólar estadounidense 27.90 is exactly the new price of the legacy Enterprise Package on TMDHosting’s own price-change table. That customer sat on an older plan than the website advertised. The billing was right. The communication wasn’t.
Declining support is the second theme, and it’s specific about timing. un mayo 2025 reviewer of seven years wrote that support went from near-instant to unresponsive “since their merger with World Host Group in late 2024”. Others describe simple issues taking over 24 hours and every ticket needing escalation.
Product labelling is third. un noviembre 2025 reviewer said the dedicated server they’d bought was a virtual machine, no hardware físico. They’d overpaid for years with no clear way to tell.
Complaint volume is rising. Del 127 one-star reviews we catalogued, 22 were posted in the first seven months of 2026. That’s more than any full year before it, contra 17 en 2025 y 14 en 2024.
Comentarios de la comunidad (Reddit & El)
Más allá de las plataformas de reseñas, community discussions are thinner but blunter.
One dedicated server thread ran on r/webhosting in November 2025. The poster published the Linux commands they’d used to detect virtualisation and argued the product was mislabelled. The thread pushed back usefully: since cloud hosting arrived, “dedicado” has meant dedicated resources rather than bare metal across much of the industry. Our own check found the page never uses the words “metal desnudo” and never says whether the hardware is virtualised.
A separate r/Hosting thread that month is titled “Don’t fall for WH Group – TMD host ads”. The poster had deliberately left another World Host Group brand, picked TMDHosting believing it independent, then found the connection. Their complaint: cancelling inside the 30-day window only offered end-of-term cancellation, forcing a billing ticket. Commenters replied that contacting billing is normal at most hosts. Both points seem fair.
The most uncomfortable item is an April 2026 review alleging a free month was offered for a positive review. We can’t verify that. We can verify the context: del 100 most recent reviews, 76 arrived through invitation links and only 17 were unprompted. UNA 4.8 built on solicited post-ticket surveys measures how a support conversation went, not whether the server stayed up.
Calidad de soporte
Carreras de soporte 24/7/365 a través de boletos, live chat and phone on 1-888-771-5990. A staffed phone line is rare at this price. TMDHosting advertises a 15-minute response target.

Reviews suggest that target is often met and sometimes missed badly. Five-star reviews describe minutes. One-star reviews describe hours or days, and cluster after late 2024. TMDHosting replies to about 44% de sus críticas negativas.
When to Use TMDHosting
TMDHosting is a strong choice in specific situations:
Ideal para
Non-technical owners of small business sites: The product is built around someone else doing the server work. Migración libre, phone support and a 15-minute response target are worth real money if you don’t want to learn cPanel.
People who hate renewal surprises: There’s no promotional pricing to expire. What you sign for is what you’ll pay in year four. After a decade of hosts hiding a 3x renewal in the small print, that has value.
Sites needing an uncommon region: Mumbai, México, Toronto and Sydney are all buyable at checkout. Few managed hosts at this price offer that spread.
Lo agradecerás si
- You want phone support, because TMDHosting still staffs a line
- Estás migrando un sitio existente, because transfers are free and reviewers rate them highly
- You run WordPress or WooCommerce and want the cPanel toolkit with staging
- You’d rather pay a flat rate than chase introductory offers every two years
When NOT to Use TMDHosting
Ningún anfitrión se adapta a todos. busca en otra parte si:
Mira en otra parte si
Tienes un presupuesto ajustado: USD 9.52/mo is the floor, and it buys one website with no backups. Budget hosts start near USD 3 with backups included. If price decides it, este no es tu anfitrión.
Necesitas verdadero metal desnudo: The dedicated pages never confirm physical hardware, and at least two customers say they found a virtual machine. If bare metal matters to your workload or compliance, buy from someone who states it plainly. Vea nuestro guía de servidor dedicado.
You want root access cheaply: Every VPS is managed and starts at USD 57.50/mo. Unmanaged providers sell comparable specs for a fraction of that. Nuestro Guía de alojamiento VPS lists them.
You register a lot of domains: En USD 24.99 per .com renewal, you’re paying double the going rate. Keep domains at a registrar.
Banderas rojas para su situación
- You need backups on the cheapest plan: Starter has none. Budget for Business at USD 12.72/mo
- You want a contractual 99.99%: The VPS pages advertise it, the terms only back 99.9%
- Refund certainty matters: Product pages promise 30 dias, but the terms exclude servers and domains
- You care who owns your host: The evidence points to World Host Group, and TMDHosting hasn’t said so

TMDHosting Plans and Pricing
⚠️ Price Warning: TMDHosting no longer runs renewal shock, which is genuinely good. It removed the discount instead. The old USD 2.99/mo rate renewed at USD 9.99, a 3.34x jump. Today you pay USD 9.52/mo from day one on three years. El multiplicador de renovación es 1.0x, but entry costs 3.2x what most reviews still quote.
A relic remains: the shared hosting page still bills itself as “as low as $2.99/mo”, text last updated in 2023. Every price below came from the live billing system in July 2026.
Alojamiento compartido y en la nube
Inicio: USD 9.52/mo on three years, Dólar estadounidense 10.12 on two, Dólar estadounidense 10.71 on one, Dólar estadounidense 11.90 mensual. Se renueva al mismo ritmo..
Negocio: USD 12.72/mo on three years, hasta USD 15.90 mensual.
Empresa: USD 19.12/mo on three years, hasta USD 23.90 mensual.
Discounts are 10% anualmente, 15% cada dos años, 20% triennially. They’re structural, not introductory, so they apply again at renewal. Starter covers one website with 50GB SSD storage and no backups. Business adds unlimited sites, 100GB, double the CPU and 30 copias de seguridad.
Watch the default. The order form pre-selects three years, so the button asks for USD 342.72 up front on the cheapest plan.
Hosting WordPress
A partir de: USD 9.99/mo on three years | USD 12,49/mes mensual
These are the shared plans with the cPanel WordPress toolkit and one-click staging added. The toolkit costs about 50 cents a month over plain shared hosting.
Alojamiento VPS
A partir de: USD 57.50/mo billed annually | USD 69/mo mensual
Entry buys 2 núcleos, 4GB RAM and 100GB NVMe SSD storage (a faster class of solid-state drive) en procesadores AMD EPYC. All plans are managed, with cPanel and WHM. The range tops out at 256GB RAM for USD 2,199/mo. There’s no unmanaged option, which is why these sit well above budget VPS providers.
Servidores dedicados
A partir de: USD 159.99/mo on three years | USD 199,99/mes mensual
Entry gives 8 Núcleos de CPU, 8GB DDR4 RAM and 250GB of RAID 10 Almacenamiento SSD. The top tier runs USD 299.99 a USD 374.99. The page never uses the words “metal desnudo”, a point customers have raised (see Community Feedback).
Costos ocultos a tener en cuenta
- Renovación de dominio después del primer año gratis: Dólar estadounidense 24.99 para .com, .org and .net, well above the market rate of roughly USD 12 a 15
- Other domains: .co.uk, .eu and .us renew at USD 19.99; .info at USD 32.99
- Copias de seguridad: none on Starter. Included from Business upward
- SSL and migration: gratis
- Tarifa de instalación: pages say none, but the terms reserve the right to charge non-refundable setup fees
Veredicto de precios
This is now a mid-market host priced like one. At USD 9.52/mo minimum it costs three to four times what budget hosts charge, and that tier has no backups. What you get is honest arithmetic: the price you sign at is the price you keep paying.

TMDHosting Transparency Score
We assess how upfront TMDHosting is about things that affect a buying decision:
- Información de la empresa: Limitado. año de fundación, address and phone number are easy to find. Ownership is not. TMDHosting’s mail runs on infrastructure shared with a confirmed World Host Group brand, and its billing sits on that group’s platform. There’s been no announcement, and the group’s public acquisitions page doesn’t list TMDHosting.
- Transparencia de precios: Bueno. Better than most, with one lapse. En diciembre 2024 TMDHosting published a price-change page showing old and new prices side by side for every plan, legacy ones included. Very few hosts do that. The lapse: the shared hosting page still advertises “as low as $2.99/mo” in its description.
- Documentación técnica: Limitado. Plan specs are detailed and honest, incluyendo el “No Backups” line most hosts would bury. But the Data Centers page contradicts the checkout on five of eight locations, and the dedicated pages never say whether you’re buying physical hardware.
- Condiciones & Políticas: Pobre. Product pages advertise a 30-day money-back guarantee. The terms exclude “Dominios, Servers and certain third-party supplier products” from it. Reclamaciones de marketing 99.99% uptime where the contract offers 99.9%. Pages say “Sin tarifa de instalación” while the terms reserve the right to charge one.
Transparencia general: Mezclado. TMDHosting is more honest about prices than most competitors and less honest about everything else. The pricing page is a model of disclosure. The terms contradict the sales pages on refunds, uptime and setup fees, and the ownership question goes unanswered.
Alternatives to TMDHosting
If TMDHosting doesn’t fit, estos abordan sus brechas específicas:
Para precios de entrada más bajos: Hostinger
Hostinger’s entry plans start in low single digits with backups included, against a USD 10/mo floor here. The trade is renewal shock, which TMDHosting has removed, so compare four-year costs rather than sticker prices.
For Independent Ownership: Krystal
If unannounced group ownership bothers you, Krystal remains independently held and documents its infrastructure in detail. We compare the two in TMDHosting vs Krystal.
For Cheaper Managed VPS: ScalaHosting
Managed VPS here starts at USD 57.50/mo. ScalaHosting sells managed VPS with its own control panel at a much lower entry point.
TMDHosting earns 4.8/5 a través de 1,655 reviews on the strength of its support, and it deserves that score for support specifically. It’s no longer a budget host, and hasn’t been since December 2024.
La línea de fondo
Con 89.9% five-star ratings across 1,655 comentarios, TMDHosting delivers support customers stay five and ten years for, at flat pricing with no renewal trap. Disclosure is where it falls short. Refund terms contradict the sales pages, the data centre page doesn’t match the checkout, and customers found the ownership change themselves.
Buy it if you want a managed host that answers the phone and won’t ambush you at renewal. Omítelo si eres sensible al precio, need backups on the cheapest tier, or need certainty about what “dedicado” medio. And ignore any review still quoting USD 2.99. That price died in 2024.

Preguntas frecuentes
Is TMDHosting good for beginners?
si, y esa es su principal fortaleza. Every plan is fully managed, la migración es gratis, y carreras de soporte 24/7 por telefono, chat y ticket. Beginners in the reviews say staff fixed problems for them rather than sending instructions. El problema es el precio.: roughly triple what a budget host charges.
Is TMDHosting worth the price?
It depends how much you value support. Shared hosting starts at USD 9.52/mo on three years, o USD 11.90 mensual. That’s high. But no promotional rate expires, so your cost stays flat. Más de cuatro años, TMDHosting often beats a budget host whose price triples at renewal.
¿De qué se quejan más los clientes??
Tres cosas. primero, the December 2024 price rise of 17% a 22%, which hit long-term customers hardest. Segundo, slower support since the ownership change. Tercero, unclear labelling, especially whether a “servidor dedicado” is physical hardware. One-star reviews are also running at their highest rate ever in 2026.
Who owns TMDHosting?
TMDHosting hasn’t said. Fundado en 2007, it presented itself as independent for years. The technical evidence now points to World Host Group. Its email runs on infrastructure shared with a confirmed group brand, and its billing moved to that group’s platform. Customers report a buyout in late 2024 or early 2025. Treat pre-2025 reviews as describing a different company.
Is TMDHosting good for WordPress?
It’s a reasonable fit. The WordPress plans start at USD 9.99/mo on three years, adding the cPanel WordPress toolkit and one-click staging for about 50 cents a month. LiteSpeed and CloudLinux help under traffic. Remember the entry tier has no backups. Nuestro guía de alojamiento de WordPress administrado covers specialists.
Does TMDHosting offer refunds?
Product pages advertise a 30-day money-back guarantee. Read the terms first. They exclude domains and servers, apply only to your first term, and can be used once. Customers also report the portal defaults to end-of-term cancellation, so you may need a billing ticket. Open it well before day 30.
