VPS.NET sells one thing now: a Linux or Windows virtual private server on SSD storage. A VPS is a slice of a physical server with its own operating system and root access. The About page claims a 2009 launch and over 10,000 clients.

This is the part older reviews get badly wrong. VPS.NET advertised 24 data centers in December 2019 and three by May 2026, so reviews quoting 17 ou 22 locations are stale. The steps in between were 16 in June 2025 and nine that August. We traced the decline through archived copies of the company’s own locations page.

Today the order form offers two: UK London and US Salt Lake City. That same page still says the company “maintient 3 cloud data center locations worldwide”. The homepage says three. The comparison table says seven. A banner still announces Frankfurt as “NEW FOR 2018”. Four numbers, un site Web.

VPS.NET is migrating every Atlanta customer to Salt Lake City on 17 et 18 août 2026. That’s why the third location already vanished from the order form. It isn’t a guess: the company published that notice on its own status page.

Three of the four Ubuntu images offered (16.04, 18.04 et 20.04) are past end of standard support. Canonical no longer ships free security patches for them.

Prices are in pounds sterling and quoted monthly. There’s no annual discount and no promotional rate that expires.

Notice the plan names. le “-19” suffix dates this line to 2019, and nothing on the site suggests a hardware refresh since.

Value improves as you climb. The entry plan works out at GBP 9.90 per gigabyte of RAM; the 16GB tier is GBP 3.16. Buy the cheap end and you pay premium rates for a small box.
