Resposta curta: Serverwala sells competent budget servers behind marketing claims that don’t hold up. The hardware is real and the prices are fair. The company’s story about itself is not.
This review checks the claims instead of repeating them. We ran a WHOIS lookup on all 58 locations in Serverwala’s own looking glass. We pulled the Indian company registry record and read the terms line by line. We also include LowEndTalk threads and the full Trustpilot rating spread, which affiliate reviews skip.

One thing to know before you read older reviews. Serverwala advertised a 30-day money-back guarantee on its homepage as late as March 2021. By October 2021 its terms had cut that to 7 dias, paid as store credit rather than money back. Any review quoting a 30-day Serverwala refund describes a policy that ended five years ago.

Serverwala sells infrastructure, não sites. There’s no shared hosting and no reseller hosting; both product pages now redirect away. What’s left are servers you administer yourself.

What the Hardware Actually Is
Here’s what most reviews miss. Serverwala’s eight headline cloud plans match Hetzner’s published catalogue tier for tier.
- AMD-ComputeX1 through X5 have the specs of Hetzner’s CPX11, CPX21, CPX31, CPX41 and CPX51
- AMND-PowerX1 through X3 have the specs of Hetzner’s CCX13, CCX23 and CCX33
The match includes odd numbers you wouldn’t land on by coincidence. CPX21 has 3 vCPUs, não 2 ou 4. CPX41 has 240GB of disk, not 256GB.
Bare metal follows the same pattern. Serverwala’s entry machine sits in Helsinki: um AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 8700GE with 64GB of DDR5 ECC memory. That processor and memory pairing is Hetzner’s AX42, sold from Hetzner’s Helsinki facility. The tier above matches Hetzner’s AX102 exactly, down to the “NVMe SSD Datacenter Edition” wording.
Two details point the same way. Serverwala’s cloud plan codes end in “-DE-FKSN”, and Falkenstein is a Hetzner site. And serverwala.com resolves to 128.140.127.189, inside Hetzner’s CLOUD-FSN1 network in Falkenstein. A company advertising 50 of its own data centres runs its website inside somebody else’s.
None of this makes the servers bad. Hetzner hardware is good hardware. But Serverwala never names Hetzner, and that matters for the pricing section below.

We looked up who owns all 58 addresses in the regional internet registries. Exactly one, Bangalore, sits on IP space registered to Serverwala Cloud Datacenters Private Limited. O outro 57 belong to other companies.
The real owners read like a directory of the wholesale hosting market. M247 holds seven of them, em Oslo, Bruxelas, Dublin, Copenhague, Dubai, Vienna and Budapest. Zenlayer holds a dozen across Asia and Latin America. OVH, Eonix, PhoenixNAP, Psychz, WorldStream, Web Werks, IPXON and HostAfrica hold most of the rest.
assim “50+ data centers” means 50-odd places you can rent a server. It does not mean 50 buildings Serverwala owns. The homepage doesn’t distinguish them.

The source labels matter too. The March 2025 cluster of five-star reviews is marked invited, meaning Serverwala asked for them. Every one-star review is organic, meaning the customer arrived unprompted.

Support response speed comes up constantly, and in the detailed reviews rather than the one-line ones. Customers describe getting a human within minutes, and staff who stay with a problem instead of closing the ticket. Individual employees get named and thanked, usually a sign the praise is real.
Price is the second theme: buyers who compared quotes say Serverwala came in lower for equivalent hardware, and our own comparison supports that. Indian customers praise delivery speed too, several mentioning servers that arrived the same day.

Non-delivery is the loudest complaint. Um dezembro 2025 reviewer ordered a VPS and reported no progress at all. Um julho 2024 reviewer waited a month, was promised a refund, supplied billing details, and reported the money never arrived. These aren’t complaints about slow servers. They’re about servers that never appeared.
Billing and suspension come second. One February 2025 reviewer had their server suspended for non-payment while their Serverwala account still held a credit balance.
KYC is the third theme. Serverwala requires identity documents before delivery, citing an Indian government directive. That requirement is lawful, and the company is upfront about it. But buyers outside India arrive unaware, then react badly to being asked for a passport scan.

Reddit has essentially nothing. Searching turns up posts with Serverwala in the title, but they’re all company marketing, not user discussion. Um, posted to r/webdev in March 2017 by the account serverwaladatacenter, marcou 1 point and drew zero comments. There is no thread anywhere of customers comparing notes. LowEndTalk, where budget hosting buyers actually gather, is more revealing. Serverwala posted a dedicated server offer there in July 2024. Another member called the company “known for lying, spamming, scams and bad service”. The same post added that many forums “have denied them a provider tag and/or banned them”. A third was blunter: “anyone can get better config at this price in other locations.”
One clarification, because it’s widely misread. UMA 2017 LowEndTalk thread titled “Serverwala.org is a scam, do not buy” ranks well in search. It isn’t a customer complaint. A moderator rewrote a Serverwala staffer’s promotional post as a penalty for ban evasion and repeat spamming. That’s evidence of how the company markets itself, not evidence anyone was defrauded. We read it, because plenty of reviews cite it without doing so.

Support is the part customers like best. There’s live chat, bilhetes, email and separate phone numbers for sales, technical support and billing. Phone support is unusual at this price point.
A captura: support quality and delivery reliability are separate problems. Reviews praising fast, friendly help and reviews describing servers that never arrived are both plentiful. Good support doesn’t fix a missing server.
When to Use Serverwala
Ideal para
Budget-conscious buyers who administer their own servers: Can you install and secure a Linux box yourself? Then you’re getting current AMD hardware in a European data centre, well under what the underlying provider charges.
Indian businesses needing local servers: This is where Serverwala’s own infrastructure genuinely exists. Bangalore runs on their own registered IP space, and Indian customers report same-day delivery. Rupee billing includes tax, which removes the friction of buying abroad.
Buyers who need an unusual location: Want a server in Ecuador, Uruguai, Kuwait or Bulgaria? Serverwala pulls dozens of wholesale networks into one account and one invoice. Sourcing those individually is hard work.

When NOT to Use Serverwala

You need a refund to be a refund: The guarantee runs 7 days and pays into your Serverwala account, not back to your card. The terms then state that “the credit that you have added is non-refundable”. Money that goes in doesn’t come out. Dedicated servers are excluded outright: “we do not offer refund or credit back guarantee on dedicated servers”. So are renewals. And if you’ve bought before, you’re out, because there’s “no refund policy for second time users”.
You’re buying from Latin America: Os termos dizem “the Refund Policy is not applicable to Colombia, Argentina, Panamá, Peru, Brasil, Chile, Uruguai, Ecuador locations”. Serverwala sells servers in all eight. Buy one and you have no refund rights at all.
You need an uptime guarantee you could enforce: A página inicial anuncia 99.90% uptime in one place and 99.99% in another. The service level agreement names no percentage at all, and never says what a credit is worth. It excludes planned, unplanned and emergency maintenance, which between them cover every outage there is. It also requires you to report downtime within one hour or forfeit the credit. The terms then disclaim any warranty that service “will not be interrupted or be error-free”.
You want a compliance-grade paper trail: The certifications page shows ISO logos as images, with no certificate number, issuing body or date. There’s nothing there to verify.

Serverwala Plans and Pricing
⚠️ Setup Fee Warning: Serverwala advertises dedicated servers “starting from USD 78.00”. That plan, and only that plan, carries a USD 300 taxa de configuração that appears at step three of checkout. Pay annually and year one costs USD 1,143. The next tier up costs USD 1,070 for the same year, with a faster processor and twice the storage. The cheapest plan is the expensive one.

GPU and Colocation
GPU servers are priced in rupees only. An NVIDIA L4 costs INR 74/hour or INR 53,820/month. An H100 SXM costs INR 273/hour or INR 199,342/month. The location field for every GPU plan reads “**”, with no footnote. You don’t know which country your GPU is in until you ask.
Colocation starts at INR 7,300/month for one 1U server, EM R 38,450 for a half rack, EM R 50,450 para um rack completo.

Against the catalogue these plans match, Serverwala is cheap. The Helsinki Ryzen 9 machine costs USD 1,880 por um ano. The identical Hetzner configuration in the same city lists at USD 304/month plus USD 149 configuração, ou dólares americanos 3,797 for that year. Serverwala is roughly half price.
Why cheaper? Most likely because the capacity was bought before Hetzner raised prices during 2026, and resellers on older contracts can undercut the current list. What you give up is who you’re buying from: rent direct and you get that provider’s terms, rent here and you get Serverwala’s.

How upfront is Serverwala with information that affects a buying decision?

The Indian register shows Serverwala Cloud Datacenters Private Limited was incorporated on 18 Junho 2020, under CIN U72501RJ2020PTC069177. The brand’s earliest archived site is serverwala.org from April 2016, and serverwala.com was still parked for sale in 2018. Four offices are listed with full addresses, qual é bom. The founding date is not.

- Termos & Políticas: Pobre – The refund pays in currency you can’t withdraw. It excludes dedicated servers, renovações, repeat customers, and eight countries the company sells to. The SLA carries a “Last Updated: 19 July 2021” date and no uptime figure at all.
Transparência geral: Pobre. O padrão é consistente. Every claim aimed at a buyer runs ahead of what the documents support, and the documents themselves are years out of date.

You’re buying current AMD hardware in European data centres, often at half what the underlying provider charges, sem aumento de renovação. For someone who can run a server without help, that’s a genuinely good deal.
What you can’t do is rely on the safety net, because there isn’t one. A 7-day guarantee that pays in non-withdrawable credit, and excludes dedicated servers, renovações, repeat customers and eight countries, isn’t a guarantee. An SLA last touched in July 2021 with no uptime figure isn’t a commitment. Both sit on Serverwala’s own website, under marketing that says otherwise.
