ScanNet is one of the most expensive shared hosts in Denmark, and it does not pretend otherwise. The entry webhotel costs DKK 229 per month excluding VAT (aproximadamente USD 35), nearly eight times what the cheapest Danish hosts charge. What you get for it is Danish data centres, audited security certifications and phone support in Danish. What you don’t get is a second website, because every tier hosts exactly one.
Everything here was verified in July 2026. We pulled live prices from ScanNet’s own checkout. We read the business terms in full, and broke down the ratings behind its Trustpilot score. Email is a bigger part of the business than the hosting pages suggest. Every webhotel tier gives you unlimited mailboxes with no per-account size cap, and Hosted Exchange sells separately. - Danish data centres – your data stays in Denmark, which settles a lot of procurement questions before they start.
- YO ASI 27001 and ISAE 3402 – ISO 27001 is an audited information-security standard, and ISAE 3402 is an auditor’s report on internal controls. Both are things a Danish accountant or a public-sector buyer will actually ask for.
- A public status page – ScanNet publishes live incidents and planned maintenance with timestamps. Most hosts hide this.
What the Comparison Table Says That the Plan Cards Don’t
Here’s something worth checking before you buy. The Starter plan card on ScanNet’s webhotel page lists six features:
- Acceso SSH (a command-line login to the server, used for deployments and maintenance)
- Empleos de Cron (scheduled tasks that run automatically, like a nightly backup script)
- 30-day restore of files
- 30-day restore of email
- A WordPress cache plugin
- An advanced spam filter with its own configuration and reports
Scroll down to the comparison table on the same page and Starter has none of them. Standard and Premium get SSH, trabajos cron, GIT over SSH, the cache plugin and the 30-day restore. Starter gets a blank cell in every one of those rows. The advanced spam filter is Premium-only, even though the Standard card claims it too.
We checked the underlying markup rather than trusting the layout. Rows where a tier is included carry a check icon; Starter’s cells for those six features are empty. So the cheapest ScanNet plan, at DKK 229 por mes, has no shell access, no cron jobs and no self-service restore. That’s a real limitation, and the plan card doesn’t tell you.
How long has this page gone unchecked? The comparison table still tags SSH, trabajos cron, GIT and the cache plugin with a green “NYHED” etiqueta, Danish for “new”. ScanNet announced those features in a blog post dated 2 julio 2020. They’ve been labelled new for six years.

All hosting runs in Danish data centres near the Skanderborg head office, connected by a redundant fibre ring. For a Danish audience that means latency measured in single-digit milliseconds and no cross-border data questions. For anyone outside Scandinavia it means the opposite: there is no US, Asian or southern European location to pick.
One detail from the status page hints at the group structure. ScanNet’s backup servers are named TSM7.zitcom.dk y TSM16.zitcom.dk. Zitcom is the team.blue Denmark entity, so the backup platform is shared across the group rather than built for ScanNet alone.

No independent benchmark data for ScanNet was found. That’s worth stating plainly rather than filling with guesses.
What we can check is what ScanNet promises. The VPS page advertises “Uovertruffen oppetid på 99,95%”. The webhotel page advertises no uptime figure at all. And the business terms contain no uptime percentage anywhere: we searched the full 44,808-character document and found zero mentions of “oppetid”, “99,” o “LECHUGA”. Clause 10.4 says only that ScanNet “tilstræber” (strives) to keep systems available around the clock, and reserves the right to interrupt service for maintenance.
Entonces el 99.95% is a marketing figure with no SLA behind it. An SLA (Acuerdo de Nivel de Servicio) is the contractual promise that pays you back when uptime falls short. sin uno, the number is a goal, not an obligation. That isn’t unusual in this market, but it’s worth knowing what you’re buying.
En hardware, the Cloud Server examples still specify a 1 vCPU slice of an Intel Xeon Gold 6234. Intel launched that processor on 2 abril 2019. Seven-year-old silicon isn’t automatically slow, but it isn’t what “topmoderne” suggests either.

Not one walk-in review in 19 meses. That doesn’t make them fake. It does mean the 4.8 measures how satisfied customers answer when prompted, not how the average customer feels.

Longevity comes up too. un junio 2026 reviewer opens with “Jeg har været kunde hos Scannet i over 20 år!” Customers who stay two decades are a real signal for a hosting company.
Reviewers repeatedly mention reaching a competent Danish speaker quickly, without a queue or a script. If you’ve spent an evening in a chat window with an offshore first-line agent, you’ll understand what that’s worth.
Quejas comunes
The one-star reviews cluster in two eras. Most sit between 2015 y 2018 and describe a company that was slow, expensive and dismissive. Those are old enough that they say little about ScanNet in 2026.
Recent ones are more useful. There are only two, both from April 2026, and neither is about servers. Both concern billing and account administration.
The first describes a company website and email going down over Easter. Support said the domain had been cancelled and told the customer to contact Punktum.dk over an unpaid annual fee, which the customer says wasn’t correct. El segundo, from a customer of nine and a half years, says ScanNet sent an order confirmation and an invoice for something never ordered.
Neither has a reply from ScanNet. Older negative reviews from 2015 a 2024 mostly do. That change is small but visible.
Older complaints add a theme worth knowing about: a discontinued product taken down without warning. UNA 2023 one-star review describes WEB Publisher being retired with no notice to the customer.

Here’s an honest finding: ScanNet has almost no community footprint. Searching Reddit for ScanNet returns a 3D computer-vision dataset with the same name, not the Danish host.
More telling is where it should have appeared and didn’t. An r/Denmark thread from February 2023 asks for webhotel recommendations and runs to 26 comentarios. ScanNet is not mentioned once. Commenters name Simply.com, Giga host, Chosting.dk, azehosting and a one-man operation called hostingdk.net. Nobody brings up ScanNet, positively or negatively.
That absence fits the customer base. ScanNet sells to Danish companies through sales calls and long relationships, not to hobbyists comparing prices on forums. It also means that if you want unfiltered opinion before buying, there isn’t much to find.
Danish comparison sites do cover ScanNet, and their verdict is consistent: good technology and support, priced at the top of the market. Several of them, aunque, still quote DKK 99 per month for the entry plan, a price ScanNet stopped charging in autumn 2024.

The status page is a real strength here. En 24 julio 2026 it posted a DDoS attack against its DK2 site at 09:30. A DDoS attack floods a network with junk traffic to knock it offline. An update at 11:59 confirmed further mitigation and continued monitoring. Planned work gets the same treatment. A VMware ESXi 8.0 upgrade runs across all hosts from 29 July to 21 agosto 2026, flagged as short-notice because of security advisory VMSA-2026-0006. That’s more operational honesty than most hosts offer.
When to Use ScanNet
There is a buyer this fits well, and that buyer is not price-sensitive.
Ideal para
Danish businesses with compliance requirements: YO ASI 27001 Certificación, ISAE 3402 auditing and Danish data centres answer the questions a procurement officer or auditor will ask. Getting those from a budget host usually isn’t possible at any price.
Companies running ASP.NET applications: Windows shared hosting has quietly disappeared from most of the Danish market. ScanNet still sells it on three tiers, with MSSQL database space included. If you have a .NET site and don’t want to manage a Windows VPS, the shortlist is short.
Organisations that need a phone number: Danish-speaking support during business hours, incluido en cada plan, sin ventas adicionales. For a small company without an IT department, one good phone call can be worth more than the annual price difference against a cheaper host.

When NOT to Use ScanNet

You’re buying a VPS on the advertised price: DKK 58 per month lasts six months, then becomes DKK 275. Over a full year you’ll pay an average of DKK 166.50 per month for one vCPU and 2 GB de RAM. European VPS providers routinely beat that by a wide margin without any renewal step.
You want a contractual uptime guarantee: The VPS page markets 99.95%. The business terms contain no uptime percentage and no compensation clause, only a statement that ScanNet strives for 24-hour availability. If downtime carries real cost for you, get an SLA in writing before signing.
Your budget is personal-project sized: DKK 3,558.75 IVA incluido, due up front, is a serious commitment for a hobby site. Danish alternatives start around a tenth of that.

- You need SSH on a budget: Starter has no shell access, no cron jobs and no self-service restore, whatever the plan card says.
- You register a lot of domains: .com renews at DKK 294 per year and .io at DKK 582, well above what dedicated registrars charge.

ScanNet Plans and Pricing
ScanNet’s pricing is unusual in a way that cuts both directions. Shared hosting has no promotional trap at all: the price you see is the price you keep renewing at, a 1.0x multiplier. The VPS line is the opposite, and it’s severe.

Starter gives you 25 GB, 1 GB de RAM y 100% UPC. Standard doubles that to 50 GB y 2 GB de RAM, and adds SSH, cron jobs and self-service restore. Premium brings 150 GB, 4 GB RAM and the advanced spam filter. Every tier hosts one website and one MySQL database.
That last point deserves repeating. At DKK 469 por mes, Premium still hosts a single site. A second domain is DKK 10/mo, a second database DKK 20/mo.

This is pricing for Danish businesses that expense hosting, not for individuals. Gigahost charges DKK 29 por mes para 47 GB, unlimited domains and unlimited databases. ScanNet Transparency Score
We assess how upfront ScanNet is with information that affects your decision:

- Condiciones & Políticas: Good – the terms are complete, readable and specific about billing periods and cancellation. But the marketed 99.95% uptime has no counterpart in the contract, and clause 4.4 lets ScanNet raise prices with no notice at all when supplier or legal costs change.

Renewing at roughly 4.8x the advertised rate makes ScanNet’s VPS hard to recommend on price alone. Providers with flat pricing and no promotional period give you a number you can budget against. How does ScanNet compare to Simply.com?
Both are Danish and both belong to team.blue. Simply.com is far cheaper to start and is the name Danish forums recommend, but its renewal prices rise steeply after the first term. ScanNet costs much more from day one and then stays flat. Simply.com is shared hosting only; ScanNet also sells VPS, cloud and Windows hosting.
Is ScanNet good for WordPress?
On Standard and Premium, si. Those tiers include a LiteSpeed cache plugin. LiteSpeed is a web server that serves cached pages faster than standard Apache. You also get HTTP/3, Brotli compression and TLS 1.3. Starter has no cache plugin, despite what its plan card says. The real constraint is one website per plan.
Does ScanNet offer refunds?
Effectively no. Clause 12.3.1 states ScanNet does not refund payments if you cancel mid-period. Consumers can only exit a subscription after five months, with one month’s notice and a handling fee. The 14-day right of withdrawal exists on paper, but clause 5.1.1 ends it as soon as provisioning starts. Use the 30-day free trial instead, before any money changes hands.
