Midphase recoge un 4.2 fuera de 5 a través de 987 comentarios, y 79% de esas son cinco estrellas. Mira cuando fueron escritos y la imagen cambia.. Solamente 23 de ellos llegaron en los últimos doce meses. The rest describe a company under different owners, running different software, with a support desk you could still phone.
We pulled the prices from the live checkout, not the marketing page. We read the actual service level agreement instead of the banner headline. And unlike affiliate-heavy reviews, we separate the solicited praise from the unprompted anger. You’ll also see renewal prices at every contract length, not just the cheapest one.
Evaluación general: Midphase scores 4.2 fuera de 5 a través de 987 comentarios. Pero 10.2% of those are one star, and almost all of that anger dates from a 2024 migración de plataforma. Strengths are cheap renewals and a support team that resolves tickets well. The complaints are the migration fallout and the missing ways to reach a technician. Best suited for a small, low-stakes site whose owner will never need to phone anybody.
Your.Online acquired UK2 Group, Midphase’s parent company, en 2 febrero 2026, so any Midphase review written before that date describes a different owner.

Características y servicios
Midphase sells shared hosting, WordPress hosting, alojamiento de correo electrónico, domains and a website builder directly. The bigger products come from elsewhere in the group.
Tipos de hosting ofrecidos
- Alojamiento compartido: cuatro niveles, from 25GB to 150GB of storage
- WordPress Hosting – four tiers, adds automatic core updates and staging (una copia privada de su sitio para probar los cambios de forma segura)
- Email Hosting – standalone mailboxes, sold separately from hosting
- VPS Hosting – not built by Midphase. Its own page says “Midphase works with Heart Internet, a specialist hosting provider within our group, to deliver our VPS hosting”
- Dedicated Servers – the link goes to heartinternet.uk. Midphase doesn’t sell them
- Website Builder and eCommerce Builder
That matters more than it looks. Si se te queda pequeño el hosting compartido, you’re not upgrading within Midphase. You’re starting an account with a sister brand.
Características clave Los clientes destacan
Las reseñas rara vez mencionan características. They mention support tickets. But a few things do come up:
- Free domain for the life of the plan – on 1-year terms and up. Most hosts give you one year, then charge you
- Unlimited Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates – every plan, no per-domain fee
- Migración libre – no cap on how many sites
- Choice of three regions – Dallas, London or Singapore, picked at checkout
Ubicaciones del centro de datos
Here’s a gap worth knowing about. The About page claims “a presence on five continents and dozens of powerful data centers.” The checkout offers three: Dallas, London and Singapore. Those cover North America, Europe and Southeast Asia sensibly enough. But if your visitors sit in Sydney, Toronto or Mumbai, the nearest server is a long way off. Latencia (el retraso antes de que un servidor comience a responder) will show it.
Expectativas de desempeño
No independent benchmark data for Midphase exists that we could verify. Its own status page does better than a marketing figure. Over the 90 days ending 30 julio 2026, Midphase reported 99.949% uptime for Stack Webmail and 99.989% for StackCP, its hosting control panel. No shared hosting server appears on that page at all, so there’s no published record of whether your site stayed up.
Now compare that to what’s advertised. The web hosting page carries a banner reading “99.995% uptime guaranteed.” Scroll down on the same page and every plan card says “99.9% uptime guarantee.” Those aren’t the same promise. 99.995% permits about 2 minutes of downtime a month. 99.9% permits nearly 44 minutos. The service level agreement (LECHUGA, the contractual uptime commitment) settles it: credits start only when uptime drops below 99.9%, and above that you get nothing.
So the honest reading is 99.9%, no 99.995%. Stack Webmail’s measured 99.949% works out at roughly 22 minutos al mes. That’s about ten times the downtime the headline figure allows.
Experiencia del cliente
Midphase holds 4.2 fuera de 5 desde 987 comentarios. la distribucion: 780 cinco estrellas (79.0%), 71 cuatro estrellas (7.2%), 21 tres estrellas (2.1%), 14 dos estrellas (1.4%) y 101 una estrella (10.2%). The ratings pile up at the two extremes, con muy poco en el medio.
Two things about that number deserve your attention. primero, solamente 23 de esos 987 reviews were written in the last twelve months. The score is a historical artifact. Segundo, the straight average of that distribution is 4.43. The published score is 4.2 because recent reviews carry more weight, and recent reviews are worse.
Lo que los clientes elogian
Support engineers, por nombre, una y otra vez. Reviewers thank Daniel, Amit, Maher and Ryan A for fixing SSL certificates, repairing MX records and restoring mailboxes. The praise is specific and it reads as real.
La longevidad es el segundo tema.. A striking number of reviewers open with how long they’ve been customers: ten years, fifteen, sixteen, twenty. Midphase kept people for a very long time.
Price is the third. Nobody calls Midphase fast. Plenty call it cheap and stable, and for a brochure site that was enough.
Quejas comunes
One event dominates. In the first half of 2024, Midphase moved shared hosting off cPanel onto StackCP and moved email to StackMail. The one-star reviews from March to July 2024 read like an incident log.
Sites and mailboxes went down for days, in several accounts for weeks. Nameservers changed without notice. SSL certificates broke on migrated sites, so visitors got security warnings. Live chat queues ran to six and nine hours. Reviewers posted the old technical support number to show it simply disconnected.
The cruelest detail is the lockout loop. Midphase verifies you before it will help, and the verification code goes to your email address. When the thing that broke is your email, you can’t open the ticket that is the only route to technical support. Multiple reviewers described exactly this.
Legacy features went too. cgi-bin support was dropped in the migration without warning, breaking older sites that relied on it.
Comentarios de la comunidad (Reddit & El)
Más allá de las plataformas de revisión oficiales, we looked for community discussion. There isn’t much, and that’s worth saying plainly rather than padding. Midphase’s Reddit footprint is thin, mostly predates 2021, and no substantial thread covers the 2024 migración.
What the older discussions do show is a resource ceiling. One r/webhosting thread describes a shared account that “barely works anymore” after hitting its inode and CPU limits. Un inodo es un archivo, so that cap limits how many files you can keep, not how large they are. The poster concluded shared hosting couldn’t stretch any further.
Another older thread, on r/sysadmin, describes trouble prising an EPP code out of an unresponsive Midphase. That’s the authorization code you need to move a domain to a different registrar. Not a good sign when you want to leave.
The independent aggregators are harsher than Trustpilot. One directory rates Midphase 2.5 fuera de 10 a través de 22 comentarios: 3 users recommend it, 19 no, spanning 2006 a 2024. Another shows 2.6 from just 3 Opiniones de los usuarios, the newest dated 2020. Neither has the volume to carry much weight. Neither flatters.
One caveat on that second aggregator. Its expert write-up, updated December 2024, says Midphase has no VPS product, corre 24/7 toll-free phone technical support, and hosts in Lindon, Utah. All three are wrong today. Treat older Midphase reviews as descriptions of a company that no longer exists.
The Solicited-Versus-Organic Split
This is the part most reviews won’t show you. We checked how each of the last 160 or so reviews reached Trustpilot. Among the five-star entries, 96 came through an invitation link and 4 arrived organically. Among the one and two-star entries, 47 arrived organically and 3 came through an invitation.
Nobody is faking anything here. Pero el patrón es claro. Midphase asks for feedback after it closes a ticket, and happy people answer. Angry people find Trustpilot on their own.
That also explains what the reviews are about. Read the five-star entries and almost every one describes a single support ticket being handled well. Very few describe uptime, velocidad, or what it’s like to run a business on the platform for a year. los 4.2 measures helpdesk courtesy, not hosting quality.
Midphase has since switched Trustpilot review collection off entirely, which is why only 23 reviews landed in the past year.
Calidad de soporte
The contact page opens by saying Midphase wants you to reach it “en cualquier momento, day or night.” Then it lists the channels, and the gap between those two things is the whole story.
Ventas: phone on +1 (737) 221 2535, 6:00yo igual 3:00pm Eastern, de lunes a viernes, plus 24-hour chat. Facturación: same number, same weekday hours. Soporte técnico: “please submit a ticket.”
Eso es. No phone for technical problems, no chat either. The technical team does work 24/7, and reviews say they’re good once they reach you. But when your site is down, a ticket queue is the only door.
When to Use Midphase
Midphase makes sense in a narrow set of cases.
Ideal para
A small site you want to park cheaply for years: USD 5.00/mo at renewal is genuinely low for the long haul. The free domain stays free too, for as long as you keep the plan. Más de cinco años, the total cost beats most rivals.
Owners who care more about the bill than the clock: Say a rare hour of downtime costs you nothing, and a next-day support answer is fine. Then Midphase’s weaknesses barely touch you.
Existing customers who came through 2024 intact: If your account migrated cleanly, the renewal pricing beats what you’d get moving. The case for leaving is weaker than the reviews suggest.
Lo agradecerás si
- You want a domain that stays free, not free for twelve months
- You want SSL on many domains without paying per certificate
- You want someone else to move your existing sites, at no charge
- You want to try before committing, because month one costs USD 1.00
When NOT to Use Midphase
Ningún anfitrión se adapta a todos. Midphase is the wrong choice in several common situations.
Mira en otra parte si
Downtime costs you money: Technical support is ticket-only. There is no phone number and no chat for a broken site. If an outage costs you sales, you need a host you can shout at. InMotion Hosting takes technical calls on weekdays and runs chat 24/7.
You need more than a small site: Above the entry tier the value collapses. USD 12.00/mo for 50GB and ten sites is poor in 2026. Namecheap’s Stellar Plus runs USD 2.98/mo on a two-year term with unlimited websites and unmetered SSD storage.
You plan to grow into a VPS or dedicated server: Midphase builds neither. VPS plans come from sister brand Heart Internet, and the dedicated server link sends you to heartinternet.uk. Growth means a new account elsewhere in the group.
Your audience isn’t near Dallas, London or Singapore: Those are the only three regions at checkout. There’s no Australian, sudamericano, Indian or German option.
Banderas rojas para su situación
- You run legacy scripts: cgi-bin support was dropped in the 2024 migración. Anything old enough to need it will break
- You rely on your host for backups: the plan cards list backups, but the Master Services Agreement says Midphase has “no obligation to back-up your data.” Guarde sus propias copias
- You forget renewal dates: miss the 15-day cancellation window on a 3-year plan and you’re locked in for another three years, with the refund policy explicitly excluding auto-renewals
- You want to see how the host is doing right now: solamente 23 reviews in the past twelve months, and review collection is switched off

Midphase Plans and Pricing
Midphase does something unusual. Most budget hosts advertise a huge discount and then triple the price at renewal. Midphase barely discounts at all, and barely raises the price either. Whether that’s honest or just expensive depends on the tier.
⚠️ Advertencia de renovación: El dólar 1.00 headline on the homepage is a first-month-only monthly rate. Se renueva en USD 5,00/mes from month two, una 5.0x aumento. Longer contracts are gentler: the 24-month Essential plan runs at USD 3.75/mo and renews at USD 5.00/mo, a 1.33x rise. Your domain is the real jump. A .com costs USD 0.99 the first year and se renueva en USD 16.59 por año, a 16.8x increase.
Hosting Compartido
Precio de entrada: USD 3.75/mo (Esencial, promocional, requires a 24-month commitment)
Renueva en: USD 5,00/mes
Essential gets you 1 sitio web, 25GB de almacenamiento, 10 databases of 1GB each, 25 subdomains and one 10GB mailbox. The higher tiers:
- Personal: USD 10.75/mo, renews at USD 12.00/mo. 10 sitios web, 50GB, 10 buzones
- Profesional: USD 14.75/mo, renews at USD 16.00/mo. 25 sitios web, 75GB, 25 buzones
- Primer ministro: USD 20.75/mo, renews at USD 22.00/mo. Sitios web ilimitados, 150GB, 50 buzones
Look at the discounts: 25% off Essential, entonces 10%, 8% y 6%. On the top plan you’re signing a two-year contract to save USD 1.25 un mes.
The Contract Length Trap
We ran the Essential plan through checkout at all four terms. Here’s what it actually costs.
- 1 mes: Dólar estadounidense 1.00, then USD 5.00/mo. That’s 5.0x
- 1 año: Dólar estadounidense 50.00 (USD 4.17/mo), then USD 60.00/year
- 2 años: Dólar estadounidense 90.00 (USD 3.75/mo), luego USD 120.00 por 2 años
- 3 años: Dólar estadounidense 135.00 (USD 3.75/mo), luego USD 180.00 por 3 años
Localízalo? The 3-year term costs exactly the same per month as the 2-year term. Signing away a third year buys you nothing. Take the 2-year deal and keep your options open.
Hosting WordPress
A partir de: USD 6.74/mo | Renueva en: USD 7,99/mes
WordPress Essential gives you the same 25GB, one site and one mailbox as shared Essential, for USD 2.99/mo more. The extra buys staging, actualizaciones automáticas del núcleo, one-click restore and daily malware scans. It also costs you databases: uno, down from ten on the cheaper plan.
Want staging and hands-off updates? Fair value. Just want to run WordPress? The shared plan installs it in one click for less. For managed alternatives, Vea nuestro guía de alojamiento de WordPress administrado.
Alojamiento VPS
A partir de: USD 11.39/mo for 1 vCPU, 2GB RAM and 75GB SSD, rising to USD 76.19/mo for 8 vCPU y 16 GB de RAM.
Renewal pricing isn’t published on the VPS page. Neither is the control panel, nor whether the servers are managed. Remember these are Heart Internet machines sold under the Midphase name.
Costos ocultos a tener en cuenta
- Renovación de dominio: USD 16.59/year for a .com after the USD 0.99 primer año. Above market
- Copias de seguridad: listed on every plan card, but the Master Services Agreement says “you agree that we have no obligation to back-up your data”
- SSL: gratis, unlimited Let’s Encrypt certificates on all plans
- Migración: gratis, no limit on the number of sites
- Renovación automática: you must cancel in writing at least 15 calendar days before expiry, or the plan renews for the full original term
The Mistake That Costs Real Money
Read those last two lines together. Sign a 3-year contract, forget about it, miss the 15-day cancellation window, and Midphase renews you for another three years at USD 180. Then check the refund policy: “Auto Renewal of Midphase services is also excluded from this policy.” The 30-day money-back guarantee does not cover it.
Set a calendar reminder for 20 días antes de su fecha de renovación. Do it the day you sign up.
Veredicto de precios
At the entry tier Midphase is competitive and, extraordinariamente, stays competitive at renewal. USD 5.00/mo for a small site is fair when most rivals renew at USD 10 o más. Above Essential the value falls off a cliff. USD 12.00/mo for 50GB and ten sites is poor in 2026, and the tiny discount means the lock-in earns you almost nothing.

Midphase Transparency Score
We assess how upfront Midphase is with information that affects your decision.
- Información de la empresa: Limitado. The legal entity and Delaware registered office are stated clearly, which beats many hosts. But the About page still claims “23 años de experiencia” a partir de una 1998 establecimiento, which dates the copy to 2021. It still calls Midphase “part of a multinational tech giant” after two changes of owner, and never mentions the February 2026 adquisición
- Transparencia de precios: Bueno. Renewal prices are printed on every plan card, which most hosts avoid. The checkout shows the exact renewal figure before you pay. The catch is the USD 1.00 homepage headline, which is a first-month monthly rate presented as if it were the standard price
- Documentación técnica: Limitado. The public status page is detailed, a real point in Midphase’s favor. But no shared hosting server appears on it, the VPS pages omit renewal prices and the control panel, y “dozens of data centers” doesn’t match the three regions on offer
- Condiciones & Políticas: Pobre. Three different uptime figures appear across the marketing and the SLA. The plan cards advertise backups the Master Services Agreement disclaims. The 15-day cancellation notice and the auto-renewal refund exclusion are both buried in documents nobody reads before buying
Transparencia general: Mezclado, and the mix is unusual. Midphase is more honest than most about renewal pricing and publishes a real status page. It’s less honest than most about uptime, backups and what happens when your contract rolls over. Read the terms before signing a multi-year deal.
Alternatives to Midphase
If Midphase doesn’t fit, these three address its specific gaps.
For Reaching a Human: Hosting InMotion
Midphase’s biggest weakness is technical support with no phone and no chat. InMotion runs technical phone support 9am to 9pm Eastern on weekdays, with chat and tickets 24/7. It also sells shared, VPS and dedicated hosting under one account, so growing doesn’t mean switching brands. Aparece en nuestro Guía de alojamiento web de EE. UU..
For More Resources at Entry Price: Hostinger
Hostinger’s entry plan includes 100GB of SSD storage against Midphase Essential’s 25GB, at a comparable promotional price. Be clear-eyed about the trade. Hostinger renews around USD 10.99/mo, more than double Midphase’s USD 5.00. You buy capacity now and pay for it later.
For Multi-Site Value: Namecheap
Midphase asks USD 10.75/mo for ten sites and 50GB. Namecheap’s Stellar Plus costs USD 2.98/mo on a two-year term, with unlimited websites and unmetered SSD storage, verificado julio 2026. There’s a free 30-day trial, but taking it forfeits the standard money-back guarantee. Pick one or the other.
Need a VPS rather than shared hosting? Nuestro Guía de alojamiento VPS covers providers that build their own. For mailboxes alone, Vea nuestro guía de alojamiento de correo electrónico.
Conclusión
Midphase earns 4.2 fuera de 5 a través de 987 comentarios, but that score belongs to an older company. It is now a cheap, quiet place to park a small site, and a poor place to run anything that matters.
La línea de fondo
The renewal pricing is honest and low, the free lifetime domain is a real perk, and the support engineers get praised by name. Contra eso: technical support is ticket-only, and three different uptime figures appear across the site. The plan cards advertise backups the contract disclaims. And 2024’s migration cost the company a wall of one-star reviews from customers of fifteen and twenty years.
Buy Essential on a two-year term for a personal or brochure site and you’ll probably be fine. You’ll pay less at renewal than almost anywhere else. Don’t put a shop on it. Don’t put anything on it that needs someone to answer the phone.

Preguntas frecuentes
Is Midphase good for beginners?
For a simple first site, si. La configuración es rápida, WordPress se instala con un clic, and migration is free. Pero hay una trampa. si algo se rompe, your only route to a technician is a support ticket. sin telefono, no chat. Beginners often need to talk to someone.
Is Midphase worth the price?
At the entry tier, si. USD 3.75/mo on a two-year term, renewing at USD 5.00/mo, is good value for a small site, and most rivals renew far higher. Above that tier, No. Personal costs USD 10.75/mo for 50GB and ten sites, and competitors beat that comfortably. Also note the 3-year term costs the same per month as the 2-year, so there’s no reason to take it.
¿De qué se quejan más los clientes??
los 2024 migración de plataforma, por un amplio margen. Midphase moved shared hosting off cPanel to StackCP, and email to StackMail. One-star reviews from that period describe sites and mailboxes down for days or weeks, nameservers changed without notice, and broken SSL certificates. Support access is the second complaint: ticket only. And because verification codes go to your email, a broken mailbox locks you out of the ticket system.
How does Midphase compare to Hostinger?
Hostinger gives you far more at the start: 100GB of storage against Midphase’s 25GB. Midphase wins over the long run, renewing at USD 5.00/mo where Hostinger renews near USD 10.99/mo. So if the site stays small and you keep it for years, Midphase costs less. If you need room now, Hostinger has it.
Is Midphase good for WordPress?
It runs WordPress fine. The dedicated WordPress plans start at USD 6.74/mo. They add staging, actualizaciones automáticas del núcleo, daily malware scans and one-click restore. But check this before you buy. The ordinary shared plan is USD 2.99/mo cheaper, installs WordPress in one click, and gives you ten databases instead of one. Pay the extra only if you want staging and hands-off updates.
Does Midphase offer refunds?
There’s a 30-day money-back guarantee on hosting packages. The exclusions matter. Domain registration fees are never refunded, nor are setup fees once the account is active, nor SSL certificates and other add-ons. Más importante, the policy says auto-renewals are excluded. If your contract rolls over because you missed the 15-day cancellation window, you can’t claim that money back.
