Features and Services

Verpex Limited is a UK company, registered at Companies House on 16 July 2019. It sells cPanel shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS plans and managed servers. It doesn’t sell dedicated servers. Its company details page says it is part of World Host Group, a UK hosting group with many brands.

Product Range

• Shared hosting: three tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold). The same plans also appear as “WordPress Hosting” and “Cloud Web Hosting” at identical prices.
• Reseller hosting: plans for 15 to 100 cPanel accounts. Reseller hosting lets you sell hosting to your own clients under your brand.
• VPS hosting: unmanaged Linux and Windows servers with root access. A VPS (virtual private server) reserves a fixed slice of one machine’s CPU and memory for you.
• Managed servers: managed cPanel VPS and managed cloud servers, where Verpex’s staff run the server for you. The “Managed WordPress” product is one of these servers.

The Limits Behind the Plans

Every shared plan runs cPanel on NVMe storage (a faster type of SSD). Plan cards list LiteSpeed, a web server built to serve busy sites with less load than Apache. We confirmed the “Server: LiteSpeed” header on three Verpex hosts in London, Dallas and Singapore.

The resource limits sit in a collapsed table on the plan page, and they matter more than the headline storage. CloudLinux, an operating system that walls off each account’s resources, sets the caps. Bronze gets 1 GB of RAM and 1 vCPU (virtual CPU core), while Silver and Gold get 2 GB and 2 vCPU. Entry processes, the number of scripts that can run at once, are 30 on Bronze and Silver and 35 on Gold.

Disk speed is capped identically on all three tiers: 1,024 IOPS (input/output operations per second) and 50 MB/s. Moving up from Silver to Gold buys more sites and storage, not faster disks. Each database is limited to 5 GB, and each plan can send 100 emails per hour. That cap makes sending newsletters from the hosting account impractical. Free extras include SSL certificates, unlimited site migrations, the Softaculous app installer, Monarx malware scanning and offsite backups. The terms say backups run twice a day. They also call backups “a best effort service” and don’t warrant that they are complete. Keep your own copy.

Data Center Locations

The checkout offers nine server locations: Dallas, Buffalo (New York), Toronto, Mexico City, London, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney. You pick one per plan. Verpex’s technology page says it rents servers from cloud providers such as Linode, DigitalOcean and Leaseweb rather than running its own data centers.

The live servers tell a slightly different story. We resolved hosts named on Verpex’s own status page, such as its London and Singapore machines. Every IP address we checked is registered to WHG Hosting Services Ltd, the group company Verpex names on its company details page.

Performance Expectations

We measured network latency to Verpex’s London, Dallas and Singapore servers from 10 countries on 30 September 2026. We used Globalping probes on home and mobile internet providers, with 10 TCP connections to port 443 each. That’s the connection a browser opens to a secure website, so it shows how fast a connection starts. It doesn’t measure how fast a website hosted there loads.

No packets were lost. Location choice matters more than the plan tier. A UK visitor reaches the London server in 6.2 ms, but a Nigerian visitor needs 103.9 ms to reach the same machine. Verpex has no African location. Of the three servers we measured, London was the fastest from Lagos.

Australians should pick Sydney, not Singapore. Brisbane took 311.9 ms to reach London and 319.5 ms to reach Singapore. In a separate run, Verpex’s Sydney server answered Brisbane in 27.5 ms, Hobart in 23.4 ms and Auckland in 25.0 ms. We found no independent benchmark of Verpex’s page speed that we could cite.

Customer Experience

Trustpilot score: 4.7 from 1,693 reviews, with 640 posted in the last 12 months. Of all 1,693, 1,528 are five-star (90.3%) and 97 are one-star (5.7%). The middle is almost empty: 53 four-star, 9 three-star and 6 two-star reviews.

Who asks for the review explains that shape. Of the 200 newest reviews, posted between 8 August and 30 September 2026, 191 came through Verpex’s invitation links. They averaged 4.94. Only 9 were written unprompted, and those averaged 4.11.

What Happy Customers Mention

Support dominates the praise. Of the 188 five-star reviews among the newest 200, 103 mention support, help or chat. Most are short: the median one runs to 42 characters, such as “very fast support.” Some name the agent who helped. One recent reviewer credited Orbi, Verpex’s AI chat assistant, with solving a problem quickly.

Speed is the second theme. Of the same 188 reviews, 70 use words like fast, quick or prompt. Free migrations come up far less, in 7 of them.

Resellers add a point about price. A long-term reseller on Reddit wrote in January 2026 that the plans are “reasonable” against rivals, and that earlier email-sending problems had improved.

What Unhappy Customers Report

The negative reviews are a different population. Of all 103 one- and two-star reviews on Trustpilot, 90 were written unprompted. Verpex replied to 102 of them, so it does read complaints.

Unannounced changes are the sharpest theme in 2026. Three reviewers wrote in June and July 2026 that server IP addresses changed without notice, taking client sites offline. Others describe multi-day outages on reseller servers, a cPanel license error, and a VPS that never started.

Is it getting worse? The count of negative reviews rose from 3 in 2022 to 10 in 2023. It then reached 33 in 2024 and 33 again in 2025. By 30 September 2026 it stood at 24 for the year.

Leaving is the third theme. Two reviewers in 2026 lost access to their site files after their hosting expired or was cancelled. The terms explain why: once a service is suspended or overdue, Verpex “may no longer retain a copy of your data”.

Reddit’s Take

Much of Verpex’s Reddit footprint is marketing. Coupon posts and near-identical “best hosting” lists appear days apart in the same few subreddits, so we ignored them.

The candid threads point in one direction: change management. In October 2024, an agency hosting more than 150 sites wrote that Verpex removed the PHP mail function without warning. The same customer said the server IP had changed twice with little notice. In December 2024, another user wrote that a backend update stopped all passwords working, and no notice went out.

A September 2026 post shows the common mistake. A Bronze customer cancelled hosting, then paid a domain renewal to unlock the transfer. The website files were still locked behind the cancelled account. Download everything before you cancel.

Ownership comes up too. Commenters in 2025 and 2026 pointed out that Verpex belongs to World Host Group. One said the group “does not have a great rep” on r/webhosting.

Support Quality

Verpex offers 24/7 live chat, email, tickets and phone lines in the US and UK. Its About page claims an average ticket response of “around 30 minutes”. The chat window on its site opens with Orbi, an AI assistant. A May 2026 reviewer complained that live chat had become AI-powered.

Reviews split on depth, not speed. Quick questions get fast, polite answers. Complex problems, such as DNS faults or reseller outages, draw complaints about repeated tickets and blame on “propagation”. A May 2026 reviewer said they were stuck with a bot for nearly two hours.

When to Use Verpex

Verpex works best when your site is small, your billing is yearly, and your backups live somewhere else.

Who It Suits

A first website on a budget: Bronze gives one site 30 GB of NVMe, cPanel and a free migration. After the USD 3.00 first year it costs USD 6.00 a month, which stays affordable.

A freelancer starting to resell: Reseller 15 renews only 1.28 times its entry price. That keeps your margin predictable while you find the first clients.

Sites with visitors in several regions: nine locations let you place each site near its audience. Our measurements show the choice cuts latency sharply, for example 27.5 ms instead of 319.5 ms for Brisbane.

It Pays Off If

• You want real cPanel, because every shared and reseller plan includes it at no extra cost.
• You’re moving several sites, because migrations are free for 1 to 100 sites.
• You prefer chat support at any hour, because it runs 24/7 and usually answers quickly.

The weak spots sit in the terms and in how Verpex handles change, not in the price.

Look Elsewhere When

Testing a VPS risk-free: Verpex excludes servers from its money-back guarantee. A VPS you don’t like is a VPS you’ve paid for.

You need a written uptime promise on the cheapest plan: Bronze’s plan table promises 99.50%, while Silver and Gold show 99.99%. That allows about 3.6 hours of downtime in a 30-day month on Bronze, against about 4 minutes on the others.

An agency that can’t absorb surprise changes: IP changes, the removed PHP mail function and outages on reseller servers all hit client sites. If your clients bill you for downtime, pick a host with a slower, better-announced change process.

Check These Before You Buy

• You send newsletters from your site: the 100 emails per hour cap applies on every shared tier.
• You need fast database access: all three shared tiers share the same 1,024 IOPS disk cap.
• You pay monthly: the USD 0.60 first month becomes USD 6.00 straight away.
• You might leave in a hurry: download your files before you cancel, because data may not survive suspension.

Verpex shows the renewal price on every plan card, under the discounted rate. That’s more honest than many budget hosts. The cards default to a 12-month term, and all prices below come from Verpex’s USD storefront, excluding VAT. Other countries may see local currency.

Renewal warning: Bronze costs USD 3.00 a month for the first year, paid as USD 36 up front. It then renews at USD 6.00 a month, or USD 72 a year. That’s a 100% increase. The cart confirms it: the plan renews every year at a usual price of USD 72.00.

Two lines stand out. Reseller 60 has the steepest jump at 2.5x, and Reseller 30 follows at 2.38x. Reseller 15 is the mildest at 1.28x, so a small reseller gets the fairest deal on the smallest plan.

Shared Hosting

Entry price: USD 3.00/mo on a 12-month term (USD 36 today)

Renews at: USD 6.00/mo

The ads that say “from USD 0.60” describe one month only. That’s a 90% discount on the first month of monthly billing, after which Bronze bills USD 6.00 every month. The 36-month term costs USD 97, about USD 2.69 a month. At the end of it, Verpex’s own price data lists the next three years at USD 215.55.

Bronze hosts one website. If you run two, Silver’s 100-site allowance is the realistic entry point, at USD 5.00 then USD 10.00 a month.

Reseller Hosting

Starting at: USD 17.16/mo | Renews at: USD 22.00/mo

All reseller plans include WHM (the reseller side of cPanel) and white-label nameservers. Verpex doesn’t provide WHMCS, the usual billing software, so you buy your own licence. Reseller 100 costs USD 71.94 a month for the first year and renews at USD 109.

VPS and Managed Servers

The unmanaged VPS range runs from VPS-D4 up to VPS-D32, which costs USD 55 then USD 109.99. Managed cPanel servers start at USD 28.75 a month on a year’s term. Managed cloud servers start at USD 34.50 for the first month, then USD 69.

Dedicated Servers

Verpex doesn’t sell dedicated servers. Its largest option is a managed cPanel server with 256 GB of RAM.

Costs That Don’t Show on the Card

• Domain: free for the first year on yearly or longer terms, not on monthly billing. It then renews at Verpex’s “regular renewal rate”, which its domain page doesn’t list.
• Backups: included, but not warranted (see above).
• SSL and migrations: free.
• License add-ons: “final and non-refundable”, per the plan page.
• Chargebacks: a GBP 50 or USD 80 administration fee if a chargeback is “incorrectly made”, per the terms.

The Refund Window, Then and Now

Today’s terms give 30 days on all products “except for Domains, Servers and certain third-party supplier products”. The guarantee covers your first term only and can be used once. Its homepage FAQ adds that VPS plans are excluded. On 15 January 2026, the homepage still offered 45 days on shared and reseller plans, and 7 days on VPS.

Is the Price Fair?

Yes, for a yearly buyer. USD 6.00 a month buys 30 GB of NVMe on a LiteSpeed server in year two, which is a moderate price. It isn’t flat pricing, though. UltaHost’s comparable plan renews at the same USD 4.03 it starts at. The worst deal on the page is monthly billing, where the teaser month hides a full-price plan.

Verpex Transparency Score

Verpex is open about prices and specs, and inconsistent about who owns it and what it promises.

• Company Information: Limited. The company details page says Verpex is “part of the World Host Group”. The About page says “We are 100% privately-owned”. Companies House lists two owners with 25-50% of the shares each: Stablepoint Limited and an Israeli company. The details page also pins Verpex’s company number, 12106087, on a different company, WHG Hosting Services Ltd.
• Pricing Transparency: Good. Each plan card and the cart state what you’ll pay at renewal. The USD 0.60 headline is the main misleading number.
• Technical Documentation: Good. CPU, RAM, disk speed, email caps and all nine locations are published before you pay.
• Terms & Policies: Limited. The refund exclusions are clear. The uptime promise isn’t, because the plan table and the terms disagree.

The terms say only that Verpex will “endeavour to provide a 99.9% service uptime”. They name no service credit or other remedy if it falls short. So the plan table’s 99.99% on Silver and Gold has no remedy behind it.
