ProfesionalHosting – 610 Customer Reviews: Analysis (Aug 2026)

Short answer: ProfesionalHosting is a good fit if you want a Spanish host, Spanish-speaking phone support and servers in Madrid. It is a poor fit if you want cheap hardware or a long trial period. The company has traded since 2002 and has been owned by Sweden’s Miss Group since July 2019.

This review draws on 579 Trustpilot reviews, 61 HostAdvice reviews, Spanish forum threads and the provider’s live order system. Unlike affiliate-heavy reviews, we tested the discount coupon in the actual checkout and show what happens at renewal. That matters here, because ProfesionalHosting pays affiliates 100% of each sale, and much of the glowing coverage online earns that commission.

Overall assessment: ProfesionalHosting scores 4.6/5 on Trustpilot across 579 reviews and 4.0/5 on HostAdvice across 61. Its strengths are named, responsive human support and Spanish data centres. The main complaints are services suspended without warning and support quality that long-term customers say has dropped.

Note: ProfesionalHosting raised shared hosting prices about 3% in May 2025, moving Plan XS from EUR 6.98 to EUR 7.20 a month. Plan L went from EUR 25.79 to EUR 26.56. Reviews quoting the older figures predate that change.

Features and Services

ProfesionalHosting sells a very wide catalogue for a company of its size. That’s both a strength and a warning sign.

Hosting Types Offered

  • Shared hosting – five tiers on CloudLinux (software that walls off each customer’s resources so one busy site can’t slow the others)
  • Windows ASP hosting, plus geolocated plans with an IP registered in a specific country
  • VPS – Plesk and cPanel managed options
  • Dedicated servers – Linux and Windows, including streaming variants
  • Cloud – private elastic cloud built on Virtuozzo
  • Radio and video streaming servers
  • Email-only plans, reseller hosting and a site builder

The email-only tier runs from EUR 2.05 a month for 2GB to EUR 72.09 for 200GB. That is expensive next to the specialists in our email hosting guide.

Key Features Customers Highlight

Reviews rarely mention specifications. They mention people. Support agents get named by first name in Trustpilot reviews, over and over, which tells you where this company puts its effort. Free migration of up to 10 domains and Spanish IP addresses are the other two features that come up repeatedly.

Every shared plan includes NVMe storage (a faster type of SSD) and LiteSpeed cache (a web server component that serves repeat visitors from memory). You also get Plesk Obsidian, Imunify360 malware scanning, free Let’s Encrypt SSL and unlimited transfer. Mailboxes cap at 1GB each unless you pay to expand them.

Data Center Locations

European customers land in Madrid, Latin American customers in Miami. Madrid matters because a server in the same country as your visitors cuts round-trip time, and it keeps you inside Spanish data protection rules.

One inconsistency is worth knowing. The infrastructure page says 90% of the estate sits in Interxion Madrid. The shared hosting comparison table names the data centre as “GS Madrid” instead. Two different Madrid facilities, on the same website.

Performance Expectations

We found no independent benchmark data for ProfesionalHosting from the last two years. No third-party speed or uptime monitor publishes results for them.

What we can check is what they promise in writing, and the answer is: almost nothing. ProfesionalHosting publishes no uptime percentage anywhere on its site. Its marketing says “high availability guarantee” and leaves it there. The only figure in any binding document sits in the SLA (Service Level Agreement, the contract covering service failures). It works against you. Compensation starts only once monthly availability falls below 99%. You can lose seven hours in a month and be owed nothing.

The exclusions go further. Only total outages count, caused by connectivity, hardware or data centre power. Software failures, configuration errors, attacks and server overload are excluded by name. Several reviewers complain about sites slowing under load, and that scenario is written out of the SLA.

Customer Experience

The headline numbers look excellent. Look at their shape and a more interesting picture appears.

Trustpilot shows 4.6/5 from 579 reviews. The distribution is extreme: 548 five-star (94.6%), 17 one-star (2.9%), and almost nothing between. Only 10 people ever left four stars. That U-shape usually means two populations are writing, not one. They are. Nearly every recent five-star review arrives through an invitation link the company sends out, while every single negative review is organic. HostAdvice, which ProfesionalHosting doesn’t solicit through, gives them 4.0/5 across 61 reviews.

One more number. Of those 579 reviews, just 33 landed in the last twelve months. Around 94% of the score you see was earned before July 2025, and the company has stopped collecting new ones.

What Customers Praise

Support, support and support. It’s not close. Reviewers name individual technicians and thank them personally, which is hard to fake at this volume.

Speed of first response comes up constantly, along with willingness to connect by TeamViewer and fix things directly rather than send instructions. Several reviewers describe relationships of ten to fifteen years. Spanish-language service is the other recurring theme. For a business in Spain or Latin America, reaching a technician in your own language at 11pm is worth real money.

Common Complaints

The negatives are few but they cluster tightly, and they’re consistent across four years.

Suspension without warning. This is the most repeated complaint by some distance. Customers report websites, servers or whole accounts blocked with no notice, then having to hunt through the client area to find out why. The contract permits exactly this. ProfesionalHosting may cut service if it decides your usage is slowing a shared server, and it stays off until you fix it to their satisfaction.

Backups and data loss. In November 2025 a customer of three years described six hours of downtime from unscheduled maintenance. The data loss went back to a backup nearly two days old. Daily backups are advertised on every plan page. The contract obliges you to keep your own copies anyway.

Decline after the takeover. A two-star reviewer of eight years put it plainly in August 2025: the owners changed and service became impersonal. Others say the same in different words, describing a company that was excellent a decade ago and is ordinary now.

Upselling instead of fixing. Two reviewers report the answer to a slow or crashing site was to buy more RAM and CPU. One says prices creep up by at least EUR 6 per service every year.

Community Feedback (Reddit & Forums)

Beyond the review platforms, Spanish forums add detail curated reviews never will. ProfesionalHosting has essentially no Reddit presence, so ForoCoches and ForoBeta are where the candid discussion lives. Older ForoBeta threads from 2019 are warm, with ten-year customers praising the technical support and arguing that price isn’t everything.

A long ForoCoches post from November 2021 is the most detailed critical account we found, written by a two-year customer. Their complaint is that support’s answer to every problem was “restore a backup”. They describe the provider’s own updater breaking their system, with the response being that yes, it’s known to cause problems, use a different one. On an HTTP 500 error they waited eight hours for a reply and were told to restore a backup. They diagnosed it themselves in an hour as an .htaccess conflict.

The same post flags something buyers should weigh. It warns readers not to trust the reviews they find online, because ProfesionalHosting runs an affiliate programme. That’s verifiable: the company’s own homepage offers affiliates 100% of each sale. When you search for opinions on this host, assume a good share of the enthusiasm is paid for.

Support Quality

Channels are phone, live chat, ticket, email and TeamViewer remote assistance. The phone number is a Spanish landline, and phone support is a real differentiator against budget international hosts.

The marketing calls this “24×7 support”. The order pages publish the actual hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 01:00, weekends 10:00 to 20:00. Round-the-clock cover applies to emergencies only. That’s still generous. It just isn’t 24×7. One measurable signal: ProfesionalHosting averages 29 days to reply to a Trustpilot review.

When to Use ProfesionalHosting

ProfesionalHosting is a strong choice in specific scenarios:

Ideal For

Spanish businesses that need a person on the phone: If downtime is a business emergency and you’d rather call than open a ticket, this is what the premium buys. Reviewers consistently say the phone gets answered.

Agencies managing client sites: Plan M and Plan L host 10 to 50 sites with real CPU and RAM allocations. Free migration of up to 10 domains makes moving a portfolio practical.

Latin American projects wanting a Spanish-language provider: The Miami data centre keeps latency sane for the Americas while support stays in Spanish.

You’ll Appreciate It If

  • You need a Spanish IP for local search or data residency, because every shared plan runs from Madrid
  • You want predictable billing, because four of the five shared tiers renew at what you first paid
  • You run WordPress or PrestaShop, because both get dedicated plans and free training courses
  • You’d rather a technician took over your screen than read a knowledge base article

When NOT to Use ProfesionalHosting

No host is perfect for everyone. ProfesionalHosting isn’t the right choice if:

Look Elsewhere If

You need a dedicated server: EUR 382.58 a month for a 2012 Xeon with DDR3 memory isn’t competitive in 2026. Any serious European dedicated provider sells newer silicon for less.

You’re price-sensitive: Plan S at EUR 111.14 a year buys two sites and 20GB. Several Spanish competitors and most international budget hosts beat that comfortably.

You need a real uptime commitment: The SLA pays nothing until availability drops under 99%, and excludes overload and attacks. If downtime costs you money, get that in writing from someone else.

Red Flags for Your Situation

  • You can’t risk sudden suspension: the contract allows service to be cut without notice if your usage is judged to be slowing a shared server
  • Backups are your safety net: daily backups are included, but the contract puts responsibility for restorable copies on you
  • You want to cancel easily: give notice 15 days before your term ends or it renews automatically. Cancelling early gets you credit, not a refund
  • You don’t speak Spanish: the English site is a partial translation and support is Spanish-first

If any of these apply, consider Raiola Networks or Webempresa instead (see Alternatives below).

ProfesionalHosting Plans and Pricing

All prices below exclude IVA. Spanish VAT is 21%, so add roughly a fifth to every figure if you can’t reclaim it. Prices are quoted per month but billed annually unless stated.

⚠️ Renewal Warning: ProfesionalHosting’s headline price of EUR 3.60/mo comes from a coupon the checkout itself labels “50% one-time discount”. Plan XS costs EUR 43.20 for the first year, then EUR 86.40 every year after. That’s exactly 2x. The coupon also only works on Plan XS. Apply it to any other shared plan and the checkout accepts the code, then discounts nothing.

Shared Hosting

The current line has five tiers, all on CloudLinux with Plesk.

Plan MINI: EUR 7.42/year. Site builder only, 5GB, 750GB transfer, 10 pages. This is not real hosting.

Plan XS: EUR 43.20 first year, renews at EUR 86.40 (EUR 7.20/mo). One site, 10GB NVMe, 1GB RAM, 1 CPU core.

Plan S: EUR 111.14/year (EUR 9.26/mo). Two sites, 20GB, 1.5GB RAM.

Plan M: EUR 219.91/year (EUR 18.32/mo). 40GB, 2GB RAM.

Plan L: EUR 318.79/year (EUR 26.56/mo). 60GB, 3GB RAM.

Only Plan XS carries a first-year discount. The others renew at what you first paid, which is honest, but the starting price is high for the Spanish market. An older plan line is still on sale in the order system alongside these, under names like Plan Economico and Hosting WordPress Inicio. Buying from the wrong list is easy and costs you money.

VPS Hosting

Starting at: EUR 36.41/mo for a Plesk-managed VPS with 2GB RAM, 1 vCPU and 25GB disk. cPanel versions of the same specification start at EUR 51.99/mo. Private cloud starts at EUR 203.72/mo.

A summer coupon advertises VPS from EUR 11.32/mo. We tested it against four plans in the checkout and it discounted none of them.

Dedicated Servers

Starting at: EUR 382.58/mo. Read the specifications before you read the price. The entry machine is a Xeon E3-1230v2 with DDR3 memory. That processor launched in 2012. The top tier runs to EUR 1,563.53/mo on dual E5-1650v4 chips from 2016.

This is the weakest part of the catalogue by a wide margin. You can rent far newer hardware elsewhere in Europe for a fraction of that.

Hidden Costs to Watch

  • Domain renewal: .com registers at EUR 10.99 and renews at EUR 16.47. .es registers at EUR 8.99 and renews at EUR 13.38
  • The trap: .online registers at EUR 3.00 and renews at EUR 41.19. .store registers at EUR 3.50 and renews at EUR 63.99
  • Backups: daily backups are included, but restores are not on-demand and the contract makes you responsible for your own copies
  • SSL: free Let’s Encrypt on all plans. Paid certificates start at EUR 4.63/mo
  • Migration: free, up to 10 domains
  • Free domain: annual plans only, first year only

Here’s a live example of why domain renewals matter. The checkout still displays a banner offering a free .online or .store domain, headed “Promotion this month only”. The small print says the offer runs until 31 December 2023. It has been dead for over two and a half years and nobody has taken it down. Anyone who took that deal now renews a .online at EUR 41.19 a year.

Pricing Verdict

ProfesionalHosting is not cheap and doesn’t pretend to be. So what are you actually buying at these prices? Support, mostly. Outside Plan XS, what you pay in year one is what you pay in year five, which is rarer than it should be. But EUR 111.14 a year for two sites and 20GB sits above the Spanish market rate. The dedicated line is priced as if it were 2015.

ProfesionalHosting Transparency Score

We assess how upfront ProfesionalHosting is with important information:

  • Company Information: Good – the legal entity Soluciones Web On Line S.L. appears in every page footer with a landline and registered address. Miss Group’s ownership isn’t mentioned anywhere, which is an odd omission seven years on
  • Pricing Transparency: Good, and better than most. Every plan card shows the renewal price in brackets beside the promotional one, and the full ladder for each billing cycle is published. Two things pull it down: prices exclude IVA throughout, and the advertised coupon silently applies to one plan only
  • Technical Documentation: Limited – specifications are detailed, but the site contradicts itself. Plan M holds 20, 10 or 30 sites depending which page you read
  • Terms & Policies: Limited – the contracts are published in full and readable, which beats most hosts. But they undercut the marketing. “Daily backups” sits beside a clause making you responsible for backups

Overall Transparency: Better than average on price, worse than average on promises. ProfesionalHosting shows you the renewal figure most hosts hide, then leaves a 2023 promotion running in its own checkout. Read the contracts, not the feature grid.

Alternatives to ProfesionalHosting

If ProfesionalHosting doesn’t fit your needs, these alternatives address common gaps:

For a Longer Trial: Webempresa

Another Spanish host with servers in Spain and North America, offering a 45-day money-back guarantee against ProfesionalHosting’s 15. It runs backups every four hours rather than daily, which answers the data-loss complaints above. Check its renewal pricing before committing, because the first-year discount is steep.

For Better Value in Spain: Raiola Networks

Spanish data centres, cPanel, LiteSpeed and a 30-day refund window. It isn’t a budget host either, so check current pricing yourself, but you get double the trial period. Worth comparing against Plan S and Plan M.

For Lower Cost: Hostinger

If Spanish phone support isn’t essential, international budget hosts undercut ProfesionalHosting heavily at entry level. You give up the named-technician relationship its own reviewers value most, and you should expect a large renewal jump. See our shared hosting comparison.

Conclusion

ProfesionalHosting Review at HowToHosting.Guide

Copy this result

ProfesionalHosting earns its 4.6/5 on support and loses ground everywhere else. It’s a support company that happens to sell servers.

The Bottom Line

With 4.6/5 across 579 Trustpilot reviews and 4.0/5 across 61 on HostAdvice, ProfesionalHosting delivers responsive Spanish-language help and Madrid infrastructure. It falls short on hardware value and contractual guarantees. It’s a solid choice for a Spanish business that wants to phone a technician, and a poor one for anyone buying on price or specification.

Two practical warnings. The EUR 3.60 headline covers one plan and doubles in year two. And if you take the free .online domain, budget EUR 41.19 to renew it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ProfesionalHosting good for beginners?

Yes, if you’re a Spanish speaker. Plesk Obsidian is a clean control panel with a one-click WordPress installer. The real advantage is support: reviewers say technicians connect by TeamViewer and fix things for you.

Is ProfesionalHosting worth the price?

It depends what you value. At EUR 111.14 a year for two sites, Plan S costs more than most Spanish rivals charge. You’re paying for Spanish phone support and Madrid servers. If you never call support, you’re overpaying. The EUR 3.60 entry price is a one-time 50% discount on Plan XS only, which renews at EUR 7.20 a month.

What do customers complain about most?

Suspension without warning is the top complaint, and the contract permits it. Second is backups: one November 2025 reviewer lost nearly two days of data after unscheduled maintenance. Third is a perceived drop in support quality since the ownership change, raised by customers of eight years or more.

How does ProfesionalHosting compare to Raiola Networks?

Both are Spanish hosts with Spanish data centres and Spanish support, at broadly similar entry prices. Raiola gives you 30 days to change your mind against ProfesionalHosting’s 15, and uses cPanel rather than Plesk. ProfesionalHosting has the wider catalogue.

Is ProfesionalHosting good for WordPress?

It’s a reasonable fit. There are dedicated WordPress plans, LiteSpeed caching, automatic updates and Imunify360 security. One caveat from the forums: their automatic updater has broken customer sites before, and support’s default remedy is to restore a backup.

Does ProfesionalHosting offer refunds?

There’s a 15-day money-back guarantee on hosting. Domains and SSL certificates are excluded and never refundable. Two catches. Cancel mid-term and you get account credit, not money back. And you must give notice 15 days before your term ends, or it renews automatically.
