HostPapa Acquires Canvas Host
Based in Canada, HostPapa is a leading cloud hosting provider that offers green solutions and security services for SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses). The company is continuing its growth strategy by acquiring Oregon-based Canvas Host, the official press release says.
Canvas Host is a provider specialized in comprehensive domain registration, email, reseller, and dedicated hosting for personal, business, and non-profit needs. This move is a natural step for HostPapa, as the company has always been interested in supporting small businesses and environmentalism.
As explained by HostPapa’s founder and CEO, Jamie Opalchuk, they are excited to welcome the Canvas Host customers to their family.
What does the acquisition mean for Canvas Host?
For their customers, this business merger means access to enhanced infrastructure and a large portfolio of cloud services, as well as access to expert customer service. The latter is available 24/7 by phone, email, or chat, in a multilingual environment, powered by renewable green energy. To achieve a smooth transition, the Canadian provider will first upgrade the newly acquired customers’ infrastructure and will enhance their current support and available services.
HostPapa started its business in 2006. The company is focused on sustainable energy and purchasing green energy certificates, called Green Tags. In fact, HostPapa is one of the first companies that has started thinking ecologically. Furthermore, it is certified by different respectable environmental organizations, such as Green-e.org.
